This place lived up to every expectation - food and service was excellent! I highly recommend getting a selection of bites and small plates to taste a variety of items on the menu. Will definitely be back
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food! Great date night/special occasion restaurant. We spend our anniversary and loved it! Order the Yodel dessert! You won’t regret it!
Third time at this restaurant and it never disappoints. Aged Strip Steak was delightful. Service impeccable and ambiance outstanding. It is a bit noisy but that’s ok considering everything else.
My favorite restaurant in San Diego- go a few times a year and the service and food is always top notch.
Every dish we had was fantastic - totally worth the hype and definitely want to come back again!
Great food. Everything we tried was exceptional. A bit expensive but a good special occasion place.
Everything was great! From the service to the food, you cant go wrong with Juniper and Ivy! The overall ambiance was perfect with great music payingat a pefect volume. You can hear the great tracks and still be able to have a conversation without shouting. Took my wife for her birthday and she absolutely loved it! Thanks for the great evening
Great atmosphere and great food. My only issue came from the bartenders pours . He was chintzy and so measured that it was obvious. Don't go to an upscale restaurant to be nickel and dimed. The food was delicious and the service on point. Would go back but order a bottle of wine instead.
Our group of 10 CEOs thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The service was great, the food amazing. I think we almost ordered everything on the menu and everything was delicious.
Fun, lively place with quality food. Menu is more Tapas focused than I remember, very few entrees to choose. Wine list is decent but a poor value. The experience was good but a little disappointed in the menu.
Best food & experience we’ve ever had! Everything on our nights menu was delicious - & we tried darn near everything!
Our waiter Austin crushed it! We’re in the industry. His recommendations were on point. The restaurant picked up a lot around 7 and they handled it with poise. Even chef and one of the floor managers came to speak with us during the rush, and they had plenty to manage at the time. Best fine dining cuisine in the city. Polished style without being stuffy or snooty; a very fun atmosphere. Sit at the chefs counter to watch the machine work. Can’t wait to come back!
Amazing! I felt like I was back in New York City!
The food was good but there are large areas for improvement and compared with the price, there are several different restaurants I would choose to visit.
Casual date with my girlfriend and one buddy. Had the tuna app which was very small but good. That and the sourdough bread were the best portions of the meal. Split the duck and I expected a lot more flavor. The duck was the weakest part of the meal. If you’re going to have that be the most expensive entree and a showcase piece it needs more spice and depth of flavor.
We each had several drinks but the Old Fashion was the best one between all of us and we ended up ordering a few because their ‘specialty’ drinks are mediocre at best. Stick with beer, wine, or the Old Fashion.
The Yodel for dessert was delicious but surprised me that it was strawberry vs. chocolate. Good way to finish up an overall disappointing meal.
Absolutely incredible food!
Excellent, as always. This is our favorite restaurant in town. The menu is as creative as it is delicious. Highly recommended.
We reserved a table for 6. We were seated right away, waitress was attentive to all our needs. We ordered a variety of delicious small bites that were fun to share. Then we ordered a variety of delicious desserts. It was a great restaurant to celebrate my son’s 30th birthday! We would definitely dine there again.
The menu was varied and incredible delicious food. The service was attentive and friendly.
The atmosphere upon entering was very upbeat and welcoming. The wait staff went above and beyond to be friendly and our waiter was helpful to us, it being our first time. We were treated to little bite size treats along with our meal the chef apparently prepared (probably for everyone but it felt like it was specifically for us). Our food was good with the portion sizes being a little small for the price. I understand these restaurants go for a “tasting experience” and am not unfamiliar with them, despite this, the portions were still pretty small, with the only exception being the desserts, which were bigger than all the other plates we had tried. With all this being said, we would still go back to experience more of what the menu had to offer, and with it ever changing, could be frequent.
I guess if they are looking for a good cocktail and a date place. Food was good but over price! The waiters and their serving was good. Ambience was ok nothing special except wine cellars.
This restaurant is truly outstanding in every way. The food is unique, creative and delicious. The service is impeccable. This might be the best restaurant in San Diego right now. Loved it!
Loved it! Seated at our reservation time. Food delicious!
I have already recommended this establishment to many friends. Carlos, our server, was excellent...and we really enjoyed our dining experience.
the service was impeccable, the drinks took a bit long to come out but otherwise this is a fantastic place for a quiet dinner with friends or for an event with family. The roast duck was to die for, in the mushroom pasta was out of this world.
We ate here as a party of six for my son's MCRD graduation. We really liked the feel of the restaurant...upscale, but casual.
Our waiter was awesome. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was able to tell us about the most popular dishes, his favorites, and his ideas of how to sample the largest variety of dishes. The variety on the menu was one of the most interesting and fun things to experience.
We started with the Corndog x3 (one of the Bites)...my boys love corn dogs. They were delicious...$4 each delicious? Not so sure. The Buttermilk Biscuit w/ Strawberry Jam from the Pantry section was deemed amazing by all at the table. We then ordered several Small Plates and elected to split two entrees. All of the Small Plates were delicious...some favored more than others...but all of us at the table enjoyed sampling items we'd never had before...sea urchin anyone? The Oysters and Pearls were great and the Halibut Sashimi and BBQ Carrots were favorites. The entrees were both delicious. We ordered the NY Strip and Whole Roasted Duck. A couple at our table felt that, while cooked to perfection, the NY had too much fat and was rather small for the price. The duck was cooked perfectly was loaded with flavor, pairing beautifully with the vegetables and quinoa. The plate was huge. After eating the Bites and Small Plates, the duck entree was easily plenty for four people.
Not surprisingly, the desserts were amazing. The Yodel is a truly unique dessert with lots of variety of texture, although some at our table felt it was too sweet. The Cream Egg was also delicious and a really fun presentation. Tip...eat the garnish on the plate along with the mousse in the egg, otherwise the tart and sweet won't balance properly. The highlight dessert was the Lava Cake. Unanimous favorite!
Wonderful dining experience. Delicious food, exquisite and inventive presentation, great service. Great for a special night out. Highly recommend!
BEST RESTAURANT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
Unique way of creating unexpected taste sensations. Presentations are picture perfect. Will not disappoint in this stylish venue with excellent service and cool vibe.
Just amazing! Staff was amazing. Our waiter, Kyle, was first class. Other people that helped him that night was Dominic and Jessie. Everyone is so friendly, huge smiles all night long. The food was AMAZING. We had a few items on the Bites By Each menu - standouts were the Baja Yellowtail, and Spicy Tuna Handroll. English Muffin with caviar, so amazing. From "Our Pantry" Buttermilk Biscuit - beautiful presentation (all dishes had an amazing presentation), but the jam...Carne Cruda Asada is a must try! Small plates...Oysters & Pearls were fresh, and perfect, 150 Dry-Aged Beef Carpaccio was good, but so many other dishes I would pick over that one. "Plates" we ate a dish they brought back for their 5th Anniversary it was their signature Squid Ink Pasta dish, it was great, a little salty for my palate, but also by that time we were getting pretty full! But, there is always room for dessert. We had the Carmelia Lava Cake with Popcorn Ice Cream & Caramel Kettle Corn - this was also amazing! Next time I want to try the Cream Egg! This is a fine dining experience, that I'm so glad we did. If you're a foodie this place is a MUST visit!!
A+. Outstanding interesting tasty food. Very attentive appropriate friendly service. Great experience
Excellent service. Made my wife feel special. Well be back !
Went to this restaurant that was highly recommended by a friend. I was so impressed by the food preparation and quality, the timely and pleasant service, and the entire experience overall that I will definitely be back. A must stop when in the San Diego area.
Exceeded expectations. It was our first time and we felt incredibly welcome. The front of house staff took time to explain the menu and offered recommendations - all of which were great!
The food was absolutely amazing- the flavors were outstanding. I was in town for a conference but am more familiar with La Jolla. Wow! What a treat. Perhaps the best meal I’ve had in awhile. Highly recommended
My husband and I tried Juniper and Ivy once before and it was just meh. In all honestly, it might have been that we were sitting next to children. We decided to try a second time to see if we would like it and it was amazing. We ordered appetizers, many smalls, a bottle of wine, dessert, and port. All of it was fantastic and the service was really great. Will definitely visit again.
Had a wonderful time and really appreciated the conversation and special attention from the chef! The food was inventive and sublime. Will absolutely recommend to friends!
I was visiting San Diego for a business conference and found this restaurant online. I went with a colleague for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was happening and I loved it. The atmosphere was energetic and the waiter was super. Our dishes were beautiful and yummy. We enjoyed it top to bottom. Thank you!
Service here is excellent and the food is arguably the best in San Diego. They were completely packed on a Monday night, which speaks for itself. Definitely get the Baja yellowtail tostada snack to start and the black cod dk e with Tom Kah broth was another standout.
Awesome restaurant. Beautiful food wines and ambiance
