Juniper & Ivy
The rotating menu will still be determined by the top local ingredients available that week. Executive Chef Anthony Wells and Chef de Cuisine Masa Kojima will leverage outdoor cooking techniques to heighten the entire sensory experience. Wood-fire and rotisserie cooking will enhance Summertime heirlooms like stone fruits, whole meats and fresh seafood.
We understand that some guests would still prefer to enjoy Juniper and Ivy in the comfort of their own homes for a bit longer. Juniper and Ivy at Home (to-go) experiences will continue to be available as long as support continues for the program! We will announce menus on Sunday for the week ahead, and have reservations available Wednesdays-Sundays. To learn more about Juniper and Ivy at Home, visit exploretock.com/juniperandivy/

Only downside was the train and airplane noise. Service and food was amazing and spot on. Nick & Saul were great! Look forward to return.
We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had an incredible experience. The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic!
We went on a Wednesday evening during the zombie apocalypse. Makeshift seating was outside, tables appropriately spaced apart, and heaters. The staff wore mask and maintained positive energy. The food was amazing and we had the best service from Emily. I can't wait to experience the indoor dining one day.
Super awesome server, she was knowledgeable of the whole menu and had details to share about each dish. Drinks were great and the food was incredibly delicious and beautiful.
Great place and delicious food!
Fantastic distancing measures in place during Covid-19 in the patio area. Bathrooms were clearly marked, and staff is great about maintaining 6' and kept masks on at all times. The food is as innovative and delicious as it's ever been, which makes it an extra special treat during the pandemic!
They did a fantastic job transitioning to all outdoor dining. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the service. I definitely recommend ordering the duck.
Very unique menu and full of flavor! A must try! I would ask for some more candles or light since once it gets dark, it's difficult to see what you're eating. I didn't realize how rare the steak was and almost choked. But will definitely go back as the menu changes rapidly. Can't wait to go back!
Inventive dishes, as always, but now in a new Covid-19 compliant environment. Quieter than eating inside with a nice ambiance eating under the stars. The summer melon and the corn dip were outstanding.
We went for our 5 year anniversary and the staff was wonderful very attentive. The food/drinks were great and even the converted parking lot to door dining was done very well that it wasn’t a distraction. Few planes and trains make it a little noisy but I enjoyed watching them go by. We felt very safe everyone following the COViD guidelines. Perfect place to celebrate and nice break from the every day norm. Thank you for the wonderful evening.
Doing a great job with their new al fresco situation. The changes in the menus are working very well!
Menu changes frequently due to farm-to-table nature, but we loved everything. Would recommend sharing a main dish and getting multiple small dishes to share because the small dishes are the stars. Very fun experience.
Horrible service. It took us 30 minutes to get a drink when we showed up to our reservation on time, and they did nothing.
Wonderful food, great ambience. Planes overhead were a bit noisy since everyone was seated outside. Highly recommend!
They did an excellent job of creating a very nice temporary outdoor dining environment with lights, umbrellas and lots of large temporary plants and the food was the typical creative and delicious dishes.
The menu selections are fresh and beautiful as a garden party but then the clouds come in with confusing and imbalanced flavors. Who doesn't love a new interesting, savory festival of concoctions? The freeze dried melon like the delightful Aunt's flamboyant outfit in need of editing. The dreary duck in-a-jar like Uncle's boring khaki suit and vinegary tomatoes a la pistachio like the uninvited boisterous guest. The savory steak was perfection but unenjoyable under the "cloud of fear" wait staff tension. This pretentious garden party "rained out."
It was our anniversary. Their transformation to the parking lot was beautiful executed.
Hostess was very kind give her a raise for having to deal with entitled idiots.
Server was a baller.
AGM touched the table and gave pleasantries.
Chef and crew left us in food coma.
Bartender was slingin the fire.
CrossFit Busser Baddie was ballin out crushing service.
Nice pivot y’all. Other restaurants truly suck At this so great job.
The skirt steak was very good. The very expensive chicken was mediocre at best. The peach appetizer was very good. The egg plant was not recommendable. I should have taken the waitresses non-recommendation. The recommended house favorite desert was average+. The meal for two people with a single glass of wine ran $150. Now we can say we've tried Juniper & Ivy and we won't be going back.
I expected more from the food. My skirt steak was cold and needed a bit more salt and we did not like the uni pasta (though I think this was personal and not fault of the restaurant). The appetizer cheese dip was amazing though. Not sure if I would try again until they re-open in doors... but would recommend friends to try themselves.
Amazing food beautifully plated. Exceptional service! Great outdoor setting due to Covid.
Wonderful transformation to outside dining under the stars. The food is tasty and creative and beautifully prepared. Highly recommended.
Yes, under the big sky... But very pleasant. 4 of us shared a dozen "small " plates. Each was excellent. Server Taylor was 6 very helpful in selections for special diet needs as well as guidance on quantities, wine selection. For the feeling she was most intent on our interests, not running up the tab. Definitely repeat.
During this trying time Juniper and Ivy has made the best of a difficult situation by providing generous out door seating, extremely rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols and a very responsive staff. The food as always is innovative, creative and delicious. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and offer great insight based on your particular likes.
Interesting and inventive. Staff were careful and mindful of Covid-19. Wonderful evening. I would have to say the only negative, but not directly related to the restaurant is that there is no parking and the Little Italy valet service guy outside the restaurant made no effort to wear a mask in or out of our car. There is a public health mandate and some restaurants have been shut down for kinks less than this....
Food is always amazing. Service great. Ambiance clever and classy. The prices are tall, but it is to be expected for such a delicious spread. We love coming here for the innovative and creative menu. Classy as always.
Delicious food. Beautiful outdoor dining space with lots of social distance. Knowledgeable staff and sommelier. Can’t wait to return!
Fabulous,flavorful and creative summer menu!
Well, I've been wanting their burger and it was so good. So glad we got there early enough, the only problem was I had to share it. The melon was divine and so was the mushroom. In fact everything we ordered was excellent.
There was a problem with our reservation and we waited 30min for a table, it was dissapointed, but we understand that mistakes happen and it was a special day for us, so we didn't complaint about it and just enjoy the free wine that we received for the mistake. Honestly I had big expectations because of the michelin award of the restaurant, the food was good, but it didn't surprise me, however, the dessert was delicious and it totally worth it. The personal was kind and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and romantic, they adapt the outdoor area with tables and lights because of covid-19. Overall my experience was good.
Wonderful food. Our server was wonderful. Not sure why I always get the tables by a door. Maybe because I am young so people the hosts assume that I don’t care about the location of my table?
Not a big deal but it’s happened the 3 times I have been to J&I.
As usual, another outstanding dining experience! Food is amazing, ambiance is amazing, staff is really amazing and appreciated Anna making us feel welcome. We will continue to come back and will recommend as one of the best dining establishments in San Diego!
Hit & miss... Excellent watermelon salad and exquisite halibut sashimi.... over oiled on an otherwise decent tomato salad, followed on by a beautiful but tasteless and poorly textured ahi tostada....
The new outdoor setting is summery, comfortable and with charm. We had many of the small plates from the new menu and they were all delicious, beautiful and inventive using fresh local products. Love this place; consistently the best restaurant in SD.
Visiting family before a surgery. Food was amazing as always. Service superb. The restaurant is so beautiful it was a bit sad to be sitting in the parking lot but these times are sad.
Very original. Fresh food, original recipes, extremely tasty. A must place to go to.
MOST AMAZING RESTAURANT
First time there and really enjoyed it (despite sitting outside because of the virus.) Food was excellent and our waiter Saul was great and very knowledgeable about wines.
Only complaint that I have is that the mark up on the wine list is ridiculous. $125 for a bottle that retails for under $40. Seems excessive.
We ordered the rib eye for 2 ($125.00) as it was described to us in great detail by our server. The majority of the steak was fat, thus I had 1 bite of meat and my dinner partner had very little. The corn and onion rings were tasty; however, we were not happy at the very little amount of actual steak we were able to consume. The meal was fine for 1. We told our server and she said this was a fatty steak- thus this was expected. Nonetheless, we left hungry and dissatisfied with our meal.
