5-11 Friday and Saturday
Junction was built with private parties in mind. The restaurant has two venues which can be rented out individually or all together, accommodating parties of 90 seated, and over 120 cocktailing.View Private Dining Details
We had a wonderful experience at Junction. The waitstaff are friendly and engaged. They've got a great list of specialty cocktails and their wine and beer list are extensive. The food was fantastic. The flavor pairings were delightful. We'll be back.
The teamwork of the staff and quality of the food makes this my favorite restaurant in Cville.
Service is above and beyond. Food is great for the price point. Awesome place, will definitely be back.
Great food, great service. It was a relaxed and comfortable vibe - really fun!
We happened upon the Belmont neighborhood and The Junction quite by accident while visiting Charlottesville. We are soooo glad we did. We were warmly greeted and immediately and shown to our table. Katherine, our server, was very friendly and attentive, very willing to answer all our questions about the menu, restaurant, Charlottesville and beyond. My husband had the salmon over coconut rice and I had the scallops and shrimp Vera Cruz. Both dishes were excellent and had the best tasting blend of spices that i’ve ever experienced.
I am conflicted here.
A lot to like. Great interior design of wood and old brick. Loved the big wide wood bar.
Still, odd layout that didn’t leave me feeling like I was dining with other people. Booths straight down one wall left you unaware of everyone else. There were a couple of other rooms, but I didn’t see those diners. So I missed feeling like I was dining with other people.
Open Table described attire as business casual. We were the only ones there not wearing shorts.
Cocktails were interesting and excellent.
Wine list was good.
Interesting menu and the food was good, though my pork loin (stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in bacon) was a little drier than it could have been.
Mostly I felt like the ambiance wanted it to be a more casual restaurant and the menu told me it was a bit higher end. It didn’t quite fit.
So nothing bad at all. But the layout of the place mostly didn’t fit the menu, so the experience wasn’t what I was expecting. If you want to go to a $28/dish, good food place and want to be really casual and don’t mind feeling like you’re sitting in a bar, then this would be a terrific choice.
The food was very good, but not all of our party liked spicy food and we struggled to find anything on the menu that was not spicy. Some people have a low tolerance for spicy food. It would be nice to have a few items that are mild.
It took over 40 minutes to get our food once we ordered. The waitress was great she brought us chips and salsa for free while we waited. The food was delicious.
The food was disappointing. The sever was great. Wine selection is pretty good. Price-wise the place is good, but the food is every-day food at best... not for a nice everything out.
in general the food at Junction is excellent. This time, however,I ordered the duck which was okay but not great and the veggies that went with it were messy, oily and generally overcooked,
the wine was delicious and so was the dessert so we will definitely go back. the service was great
During our visit to Junction we received exceptional service and attention. We loved the creative cocktails and outstanding meals and will return the next time we are looking for a great dining experience
They were slow getting our appetizer out but they made it complimentary. Food was excellent. We will go there again.
Very good service and food!
We Loved it and will definitely be back! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was also very nice
Never disappointed! Love the service, the people and always an outstanding menu. Oh, get the cowboy steak if you dare.
Lots of charm and ambiance in this rehabbed grocery in the Belmont neighborhood. Food and drinks way above the average fare at a fair price.
Potk loin outstanding, falafal fair ran out of other veg option I wanted, guac strange flavor can be improved. Very hard to hear inside dining. Great porch and service.
The space is beautiful. We ate outside, but he tables inside looked very comfortable as well. The food was outstanding!
Amazing as always. Our favorite restaurant for any occasion, especially special ones.
My daughters and husband and I enjoyed the brunch menu. Great bloody mary!
We previously visited Junction not long after it opened, while vacationing in Charlottesville. We looked forward to visiting Junction again on our return trip, and we were, once again, very pleased.
The ambiance is warm and cozy inside, as well as outdoors.
Our service was wonderful, and each of our meals was delicious. We had Tres Leches for dessert - which was The Perfect ending to an enjoyable meal. Absolutely mouth watering.
We are already anticipating our next visit.
Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. We shared 3 appetizers and each was superb. The cocktails were fresh and refreshing. Both of our entrees were attractively presented and delicious
Drinks were delicious and the decor was lovely! Such a beautiful restaurant.
Great experience with our young boys. Food was great. Lots of things I still want to try. We will be back!!
My husband and I tried Junction for the first time tonight and we have to say it was outstanding! The food was delicious, the service by our waitress was great, and the ambiance of the restaurant so warm. We loved the chip & dip trio, the beer braised chicken, and the salmon with avocado and crab on top! Don’t even get me started on their cocktails. We already can’t wait to dine and drink at Junction again!
Great cocktails and killer food
Amazing spicy margs! Service, atmosphere and food were all great.
We were so excited to eat here based on the description of the food on the menu. It seemed like a cool, hip setting. First we were seated under a blowing air conditioner (it was not hot outside). We asked to be moved and were (we watched others ask for the same who came after us to that table). It took a long time to get our drinks and our food. Our appetizers didn't come out for almost thirty minutes; they forgot one appetizer that we got about a hour into our visit. We were told there was a problem in the kitchen only then but not offered a free drink or something for the inconvenience. We were there for a hour and fifteen minutes before our main courses were served and they were disappointing. Special requests were forgotten on some dishes. Brussel sprouts were soaked in grease, empanadas had soggy dough, fish was over cooked, papausas looked like a sandwich, shrimp were supposed to be jumbo and they were small and the sauce the shrimp were in was room temperature when should have been hot. The food needs to be refined and the service times improved.
Visiting our daughters at UVA.
This is a happening spot! So nice they take reservations as many in the neighborhood do not. We were seated promptly. The service was a tad scattered - appetizers took awhile to come out and did not all come together; three folks ordered the salmon with crab on top and one of three came with no crab, had to be sent back. Food itself was delicious - creative southwestern. Great ambience, we sat outside on a beautiful night.
Good food. Polite but somewhat slow service especially given they weren’t very crowded. never got offered refill, never got one drink that was ordered. Also had to wait a while at hostess stand before being greeted
Pleasant/ fun staff; beautifully prepared food; tasty, not your traditional “usual” Mexican food; we will be back!
Everything was wonderful. The service was exceptional. They have good selection of wine and drinks. The building is an old one that has kept it's charm. We had steaks that were cooked exactly the way we ordered. After our meal the chef came out and spoke with us. They have a small parking lot out back that most restaurants in that area doesn't.
Fun great food good drinks reasonably priced
Very nice, relaxing atmosphere. Good food and good beverages.
Our go-to spot! Always good food and drinks! The service is excellent!
The waitress was not outright rude but she was very cold to us. She was very warm towards the tables around us but for whatever reason did not show the same warmth towards my table. I did not feel welcome and will probably choose other places to eat over this one from now on.
We came to Junction for my birthday. We booked for a large group and had to re-target the time after a snafu. They were gracious and so kind about the time change; everything was perfectly set up. The food was yummy and imaginative, and they easily accommodated all of the picky eaters in my family. Our waitress was very helpful and patient. My only complaint is that it was really loud, but that's because it's pretty popular.
Fantastic and creative food and attentive service. Great job!
Excellent food and service. Roasted Pork Tenderloin might be my new favorite meal in Charlottesville.
