Great brunch experience at Junction. So glad to see they are offering one now. Definitely try the grits, they are amazing!
Fantastic food, Junction is a great spot if you’re looking for quality dining and a great place to spend the evening. Great ambience and good service
Fantastic brunch! Service was friendly and the ambiance was great! We went for a family brunch and were all very satisfied with our meals and experience.
We love this place. Although it is a tad noisy for this senior, I will return again and again. On our most recent visit, I had the duck and my husband had enchiladas (I think). I had their version of a Pisco Sour and my husband had a single malt scotch. We split the tres leches cake for dessert. Everything was really delicious. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The decor is upscale roadhouse. Highly recommend.
Junction has so much promise with it's perfect size, amazing service and easy location. Unfortunately the dishes both my wife and I chose were different in style, yet both lacking any flavor or memorable punch. This restaurant is well run and the experience could be very memorable if the menu has a once over.
Fantastic food and great service. Adam Frazier hit it out of the park again.
My husband was very pleased with the gazpacho and the étouffée. The only complaint was that the piece of fried okra on top was too old.
My house salad was great. The duck empanadas lacked distinct flavors and were overwhelmed by the sauce.
My daughter and husband said the 3 ice cream sundae was outstanding. 😀
Cocktails and apps were great entrees were just okay under cooked over priced steak and I would not recommend the pupusa
Food is not very good.
Drinks were good. Menu looks great but the finished product, while good, needs something to make it all look a little more appetizing. Homemade corn soup was terrible but restaurant happily took it off of bill. Three scoop ice cream sundae was amazing.
We've fallen in love with The Junction. Excellent food, service, drinks (bartenders have invented amazing riffs on the usuals and some all their own). Location is great and there is even parking!
Generous and good wine. I had the steak, which was large and very tasty, but the cut a little too stringy. Nice, low-spicy sauce. Like most restaurants, the bizarre practice of having large quantities of the expensive part (meat) and skimpy on the sides. There were just a few string beans and asparagus, though they kindly brought more mashed potatoes when I asked (but no greens!). Really, there should be enough to accompany every bite of the meat. The desert was interesting.
Not as good maybe as its sister, the Local, but a good eat. I would go again. Hearty, filling food.
Also, the music was a bit loud, especially early on when there were few people. Maybe coz the staff are young ;) They are very helpful however!
Located in the fun and vibrant community of Belmont, Junction is a foodie paradise. My wife and I set out on a date night while visiting Charlottesville, and rather than go with the obvious choice, the reknown Local, we opted for it's sister Junction. What a great decision. We opted to share several appetizers and to split a meal. The tomatillo and arugala salad was delicious and the roasted brussel sprouts were truly amazing. I would highly recommend you check out Junction on your next trip to Cville!
Everything excellent! Drinks, service, food and prices were outstanding!
From the excellent bar service, to Melissa’s incredible talents in the kitchen. The staff are super friendly, which is a perfect marriage with the creative food.
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Junction. Chimichanga was amazing!
The food -- southwest US-ish -- was really good. I started off with a watermelon-based gazpacho; the cool of the watermelon helped balance the heat of the peppers, and it was delicious. My wife had the ceviche, also very much enjoyed. The steak was good, and I had an enchilada with corn and shrimp that was wonderful. For dessert, a flourless chocolate cake and a panna cotta were both delicioius.
Ask for a table outside on the second floor -- relatively quiet, and a view of the street.
Went here for restaurant week.it is modern southwestern and Cajun food. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Th retried beans were a bit bland. Everything lease was delicious. The marigaritas were really very good. Service was first rate and an enjoyable encounter. We will be back again, soon.
Part of dining experience which is often overlooked are the chairs you sit in. The Junction chairs are poor.
We had a wonderful experience at Junction. The waitstaff are friendly and engaged. They've got a great list of specialty cocktails and their wine and beer list are extensive. The food was fantastic. The flavor pairings were delightful. We'll be back.
Food was OK but not great. I had the watermelon cold soup. It was very spicy. You tasted the spices and not the watermelon. Shrimp enchiladas had lots of shrimp, flavor was OK but not outstanding. I didn't like the beans. The desserts were delicious.
The teamwork of the staff and quality of the food makes this my favorite restaurant in Cville.
Service is above and beyond. Food is great for the price point. Awesome place, will definitely be back.
Great food, great service. It was a relaxed and comfortable vibe - really fun!
We happened upon the Belmont neighborhood and The Junction quite by accident while visiting Charlottesville. We are soooo glad we did. We were warmly greeted and immediately and shown to our table. Katherine, our server, was very friendly and attentive, very willing to answer all our questions about the menu, restaurant, Charlottesville and beyond. My husband had the salmon over coconut rice and I had the scallops and shrimp Vera Cruz. Both dishes were excellent and had the best tasting blend of spices that i’ve ever experienced.
I am conflicted here.
A lot to like. Great interior design of wood and old brick. Loved the big wide wood bar.
Still, odd layout that didn’t leave me feeling like I was dining with other people. Booths straight down one wall left you unaware of everyone else. There were a couple of other rooms, but I didn’t see those diners. So I missed feeling like I was dining with other people.
Open Table described attire as business casual. We were the only ones there not wearing shorts.
Cocktails were interesting and excellent.
Wine list was good.
Interesting menu and the food was good, though my pork loin (stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in bacon) was a little drier than it could have been.
Mostly I felt like the ambiance wanted it to be a more casual restaurant and the menu told me it was a bit higher end. It didn’t quite fit.
So nothing bad at all. But the layout of the place mostly didn’t fit the menu, so the experience wasn’t what I was expecting. If you want to go to a $28/dish, good food place and want to be really casual and don’t mind feeling like you’re sitting in a bar, then this would be a terrific choice.
The food was very good, but not all of our party liked spicy food and we struggled to find anything on the menu that was not spicy. Some people have a low tolerance for spicy food. It would be nice to have a few items that are mild.
It took over 40 minutes to get our food once we ordered. The waitress was great she brought us chips and salsa for free while we waited. The food was delicious.
The food was disappointing. The sever was great. Wine selection is pretty good. Price-wise the place is good, but the food is every-day food at best... not for a nice everything out.
in general the food at Junction is excellent. This time, however,I ordered the duck which was okay but not great and the veggies that went with it were messy, oily and generally overcooked,
the wine was delicious and so was the dessert so we will definitely go back. the service was great
During our visit to Junction we received exceptional service and attention. We loved the creative cocktails and outstanding meals and will return the next time we are looking for a great dining experience
They were slow getting our appetizer out but they made it complimentary. Food was excellent. We will go there again.
Very good service and food!
We Loved it and will definitely be back! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was also very nice
Never disappointed! Love the service, the people and always an outstanding menu. Oh, get the cowboy steak if you dare.
Lots of charm and ambiance in this rehabbed grocery in the Belmont neighborhood. Food and drinks way above the average fare at a fair price.
Potk loin outstanding, falafal fair ran out of other veg option I wanted, guac strange flavor can be improved. Very hard to hear inside dining. Great porch and service.
The space is beautiful. We ate outside, but he tables inside looked very comfortable as well. The food was outstanding!
Amazing as always. Our favorite restaurant for any occasion, especially special ones.
My daughters and husband and I enjoyed the brunch menu. Great bloody mary!
