Went to this place for a big get together. Wven with 18 people they were able to seat us and our server had a great system in order to keep track of our orders.
It was a very quiet night. At one point we were the only customers.
Service was attentive and very friendly.
Food could not have been better. My wife and I shared 4 small plates, one entree, and a dessert. We were both full at a very reasonable price.
We love this place. The drinks are wonderful, the food is amazing, and so diverse, so everyone can find something they like. We were upstairs, which started out very quiet (we got there early) but did get a bit loud once a party of 8 came in. The server was outstanding, as was the food. We'll be back.
Following a Virginia basketball game our group of 7, including a vegetarian, gave this a try for 1st time. Loved the atmosphere and we all found options that we really enjoyed. Our room was pretty loud, so might not be the spot for a quiet evening.
This was our first time at Junction and it did not disappoint! The food was great and the service was phenomenal. We look forward to returning, especially in the warmer weather to take advantage of the large outdoor seating area.
Yummy and creative menu. Enjoyed the margaritas, chips, steaks and shrimp. Will definitely return:)
Met a friend for dinner and really enjoyed Junction. We both had fish dishes. I had the salmon with crab and avocado salad over rice. It was truly delicious—fresh, cooked just right, hot when served, and a nicely sized portion. As with most restaurants, the entrees were a good price, but the drinks and desserts felt overpriced. That said, the drinks and desserts were also very tasty. Wait staff was very attentive and it wasn't packed on the night we dined, so we were able to chat at length without feeling rushed. The ambiance is very nice, but I suggest sitting away from doors if the weather is cold. The building is old and has been carefully and beautifully restored.
Great time had by all. Good food and good service. Drinks were great and good was timely and delicious.
Superb Catch of the Day, rare tuna encrusted with oatmeal; extraordinary "Sundae," so much more than that and courteous, attentive service. Good beers too on tap. I can't recommend the junction more highly. Go!
Celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary. Truly a special night for us. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the special, personalized dessert was a perfect ending.
We absolutely loved this place! The drinks were great, especially the Bullwhip! We had heard that the food wasn't anything extraordinary- but I'm glad we went anyway! We thought the food was great!
Our Valentines Day dinner was lovely! This is sort of our “neighborhood hangout” even though it’s no in our neighborhood 😁 Food is delicious, the ambience casual and the waitstaff warm, knowledgeable and helpful. If you like southwestern themed cuisine, you can’t go wrong here
Valentine’s Day dinner with friends. Early reservation. Food was wonderful. At drinks were very good and pretty, but slow coming out. Noise level pretty high but it was a busy night. Nice to have a private parking lot right behind the restaurant as parking in the area can be difficult.
Great atmosphere for valentine's dinner and seeing some old friends. Wait staff was great, very engaging and personable. Highly recommended.
Loved the menu, well prepared food, large portions good for sharing. Looking forward to going back.
Nice place in Belmont. Restored old brick building. Parking behind. We ate upstairs. Food and service very good, and price better than many C'ville restaurants. This was our second time, and we plan to go back. We have not tried lunch.
One dish (scallops/shrimp/grits) was great.
One dish (chicken) was not so great.
The hostess was rather rude about our request for a table on the quieter side saying it was very inconvenient for staff, but our server, Cutter, was very accommodating and didn't seem to mind at all a few extra steps. Service was good.
Second time in a week and really impressed once again! Tried different options and incredibly excited by the flavor blends, portion size, and quality of food. Ambience good and service timely. Reservation respected and everyone very welcoming.
Third visit. Quality of food, in my opinion, is going downhill. Just not that exciting and don't really plan to return. Sorry.
third time at Junction, and while i do love the decor and atmosphere, the menu fell short once again. nothing tasted absolutely terrible, more so just lacked great flavor. most of my group left about half of their meals untouched because the food just didn't have us wanting to go back for more. hoping round four changes my mind!
Good experience! We will be back!
It was amazing! Such a great date night spot with a fun and classy atmosphere!
Appreciate the parking lot (albeit limited) Not sure about the enforcement as there seemed to be way more cars there than customers!
booked the reservation for 7:30 and it did not go thru. We arrived early were told they didn't have it and for some reason your system put us at 8:30 way too late for us to eat. The hostess
advised they couldn't put us at a table but two seats had opened up at the bar so we took them.
i don't know if it's open tables error or the restaurant.
We had an amazing meal with wonderful flavors in all of our selections. Service was great and we will be back soon!
Incredible food, excellent ingredients, prepared perfectly, taste is amazing. Same goes for the drinks. Staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful. Atmosphere was perfect. You pay for what you get - a top notch dining experience. Loved it!!
It was refreshing to have upscale Hispanic food that truly felt like a fine dining experience. Would highly recommend to pretty much anyone.
Great place, food and ambiance were great. Warm, brick lined walls with beautiful woodwork.
Creative menu, very well executed. Mexican, but very inventive.
Very good value.
I had a great first dining experience at Junction. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning! Our sever had only been serving a week but was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The food was excellent - temperature, portion, taste, etc.
The service was great, our initial servings (3 of us ordered the same dish during Restaurant week) of Chicken thighs was underdone. They immediately took them away and replaced it with fresh dishes cooked perfectly. But you really need to like Cilantro - it showed up everywhere, even when it wasn't listed in the meal description. I plan on returning and will be sure to specify when ordering that I do not like Cilantro!
Service was great at first but then she got busy. Very friendly server. Good food with lovely presentation. They modified the dish for me as I’m trying not to eat potatoes and rice so they added more roasted vegetables. We ordered the salmon with the avocado and crab meat on top. It was amazing. My Friend ordered it with the coconut rice and the beurre blanc. I ordered mine without and it was still delicious.
You've found a great spot! The food and service were supreme. The ambiance is superior!
Consistently good food and good service. It is a little chilly in the winter.
Fantastic food and service! Totally recommend this restaurant, nestled in the heart of Belmont section of Charlottesville. They even had my favorite single malt Scotch!
Draft beer pint turned out to be a 12oz not 16oz even when the server was asked beforehand if the drafts were served as a pint.Truth in advertising? Also made light of overcharging for entree (special of the day). How many were overcharged before I drew their notice to the discrepancy?
This was our first visit. My husband had hanger steak and I had duck. Both were good, but way too salty.
We ate in the room where the bar, which was nothing special in terms of ambiance.
Birthday dinner was the occasion. This being our second visit, we were excited to try different items on the menu. We were not disappointed. Spicey seems to be a theme, not hot, but spicey. Small plates are delicious. So are the entrees.
We'll be back!
They were fantastic with a large party and the food was delicious!
I can’t check enough boxes b/c some of them I don’t know, but Junction has definitely hit its stride. The food was generous and delicious from start to finish. Don’t skip over the Ceviche and I’d suggest a margarita to go with it perfectly. Basically, you can create any kind of experience here you’d like to have by ordering shared plates or your own, full sized meal... or both. Much of the wood is from trees taken off the lot so one can feel the love put into this place. Best Mex I’ve had in Cville in a long, long time.
