Food was awesome! Our waiter Chuck wasn’t the best, had to ask bartender twice for the name of one beer. Swiped our card for the wrong bill. Had to double check my order twice, just one menu item no changes. Just seemed bothered by us.
Every dish we had in our group of four was delicious.
When we arrived there were 6 of us waiting for one to arrive. We were told we could not be seated until all were present. It would have been nice to be seated and order our beverages. After being seated it took almost 15 minutes to place our drink order and another 15 minutes to receive it. One of us did not receive a beer after asking twice. Took another amount of time to get that. She finally just went to the bar to ask for it. Same happened when ordering food. Took server way too long to ask us and way way too long for us to receive it. The menu has several items that are marked with a red pepper to indicate spicey. One of our guests asked the server just how spicey is this dish? His reply was condescending to say the least. He said: “that is why there is a red pepper there....to let you know its spicy”. A better reply from him could go something like this: This particular dish is mild or this dish is extremely spicey or how spicey would you like it? I would also say it would have been nice had the host stopped by to ask how our meal was or how our evening was. He spent way too much time just standing at the podium at the entrance. The food was delicious!
Sat at the bar and had a great time.
Delicious food and great service. Finally a place with real spice and not the MN spice levels. Highly recommend the Chinese 5 spice dry rub wings - very crispy and the dipping sauce really compliments the rub. Got the Chong Qing spicy chicken (it’s spicy, not lying) and the San Jiao beef both were great. Will be coming back for more.
Food was absolutely amazing! It was so flavorful. The dumplings are to die for, and the fried rice is a meal onto itself. Absolutely we will be back over and over again!!
We booked in advanced, showed up on time, were put in the bar (no table- rack of us had a stool type table) with a comment they were busy.. (found that strange since we actually had a reservation) Waiter was nice but service was not good. We had 3 meals delivered about 20 minutes apart.. I was fully done by the time my son revived his meal. We made the best of it but were very disappointed in the overall experience.
Overall good meal. The szechuan dumplings were fantastic.
The food was good but limited seating available. I would highly recommend.
The service thanks to chef Kyle was excellent .
The food was not good. My wife mentioned to the waiting person everything had to much of a Smokey flavor. After we got our bill, the manager came over and apologized saying we’re sorry you didn’t like your meal because it was so spicy. Then he said they are a Szechwan restaurant and maybe the next time we decide we want Szechwan food we should come back. This was very insulting. They did take my wife’s meal off the check but the spice wasn’t the problem. We will not be going back.
So happy to see Jun open again! The Szechuan dumplings were the highlight of the meal, but everything we had was delicious.
This was our first time back since they reopened. Smaller menu than before but every dish was amazing and full of flavor. Highly recommend the San Jiao Lamb!
Friendly service, great food and nice atmosphere.
ordered steamed dim sum, the tofu meat was served on the table freezing cold. They forgot to cook...which also mean the dim sum is not fresh cooked. They took it back to cook, which is good. But when the final bill was provided, i noticed 15% after tax service fee had already been added to the balance....won't come again.
The food was gross. Service sultry (no one was there). A totally bad experience. Asked for hand-pulled noodles, waiter said Dandan noodles were hand-pulled. They were not, nor were they Dandan but greasy vermicelli noodles in a small bowl, overpriced. The calamari was yuck and tasted of ammonia . Seafood should be fresh. We dine out frequently, this was one of the worst experiences we ever had.
Food was fantastic and prices were great. You won't be disappointed with dining here.
Everything served was good in the restaurant, service was also OK although it was a Monday night so a little slow with not many people in. Unfortunately we were sat a few tables away from a drunk 20 something year old who had two women sitting with him - one each side - I'll leave you to figure the relationship. He was a little inappropriate and language wasn't great but the staff didn't seem to mind. I was with my 17 year old daughter so it was a little unsettling until he left (thankfully after around 20 minutes). Aside from that it was well worth the money and I would definitely go again.
In my opinion, the best Chinese restaurant in Minneapolis. Wonderful selection, authentic, and fresh. Excellent!!
Not impressed at all. Food options were not anything special, all dishes tasted the same, for this location in north loop I would go to 25 other places before coming here. Really disappointed
Our new favorite Asian restaurant in the Cities! Unique menu, unique spices and seasonings, tender, flavorful cuts of meat, fun cocktails, trendy decor, hard to find dishes that we’ve only seen in Asia before. The Cumin Beef is incredible. It’s worth the 30-mile drive for us!!!
Host had to be jarred awake by cook to let know we were there. Slow service he was also the waiter. Not friendly never came back to ask about food only asked if we were ready for the check. Food not good. Seasme chicken was hard as a rock. Sauce was like a very thick jelly. Cream filling in cheese puffs had a onion taste to them. Very disappointed. Never would I return even for a free meal. Parking is impossible.
this was our first "date night" in a long time. pre-theater dinner for us, so we were early. JUN filled up quickly and the noise level was still low. service was top notch, everyone was so nice and genuine.
offerings were well balanced. the food was well seasoned and the heat level well executed. met the chef/owner Jesse. we visited and discussed asian cuisine.
we'll certainly return - probably soon
all in all a very pleasurable experience
Went there for dim sum. Pretty good but limited dim sum menu. Still a decent place to go. Will try dinner next time.
Jun is a treasure. The complete menu is in Chinese and English, with pictures.
Prices are reasonable. The presentation is classic, not pretentious.
Service is good.
Only problem is finding parking, on the street or elsewhere.
Saw no public lots.
We were able to get a seat at the bar, which was fine, because they serve the entire menu here. We had dim sum, and a few other vegetable dishes. Here were a few standouts: the cream cheese wontons, baked egg yoke buns, and steamed chive shrimp dumplings.
Sadly for us vegetarians, they were out of tofu. So, they could not serve any tofu dishes on the menu. We went at 11am on a Sunday, so they must not have ordered appropriately for the week?! Disappointing.
Food wasn't any better than getting Chinese takeout, but at three times the price. Would not go back.
Service was outstanding. He recommended items and they were spot on. Food was excellent. Surprised it was not more crowded.
Great dim sum!
loved the food and the atmosphere
Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your money.
We really enjoyed Jun. The egg rolls were excellent. I had the Crispy Tangerine Shrimp, which was great, my husband enjoyed the Walnut Shrimp. My mother was the only one disappointed with her entree, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The noise level was noticeably less than most restaurants, which enabled us to easily converse without shouting. I will definitely go back.
Their dim sum items are not so great, very ordinary and bland. I have been to alot of dimsum place and this one is very forgettable nothing special. The place looks good with a modern vibe but expect a significant wait before your food items to arrive and there were only 4 customers in the whole restaurant. The service here is also poor, the host and servers are not friendly, no interactions, no explanation of the menu and didnt even offer any drinks.
We ordered a variety of things to share and everything was excellent! Great prices for food as well.
Fantastic dinner. Very good food. We had a birthday dinner and the service was great. Timely but not invasive. We all thought this was one of the best restaurants we have been to in a while.
Came here for dim sum, which is actually served daily! So, no need to wait in line to eat this only on Sunday mornings. I read they have happy hour dim sum with $4 each options. For the 2 of us we ordered about 2 steamed buns, 2 veggies and 1 sweet egg yolk bun. The food was delicious and comes out slowly. There was also a fabulous grapefruit mimosa.
Sit by the big windows, they offer lots of good people watching out on Washington Ave.
We enjoyed a family lunch with weekend dim sum. It was really good and everyone had fun!
Was really good but would like to see more Dim.Sum options.
Food was fair.
