Julius is an institution for one of the best burgers in town, as well as the oldest gay bar in the city. Staff are friendly, and the laid back atmosphere lends for a casual afternoon with friends.
The staff are so outgoing, always concerned about your experience and feedback. The staff work very hard to provide a great experience during this surreal pandemic. And the food is great too!!!
I have been coming to Julius' for years. Although like all, they have to deal with our trying times, here it is done with humor and warmth. The staff is dedicated to your needs and are friendly. The food is simple fair but excellent: buggers, fries, grilled cheese and the like. Going is great fun. My only mild criticism is I miss the jukebox that allowed the guests to play things more to their liking... Go, relax and have fun.
Ambiance and service was great! Food and drinks came quick.
I love this place, I love the staff. The entire team are just so fabulous and always so friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel appreciated and welcome.
As a Deaf queer man, it's always an enjoyable experience to come in, not to mention the staff is welcoming. It's essentially another home for queer folx with disabilities like myself! Plus the LGBTQ history is rich, considering it's the oldest gay bar in NYC. Plus their burgers are great.
Julius’ never disappoints. Helen and her team always do a great job!
Literally the best bar on earth.
I love this bar. Great drinks and excellent service.
Our server was amazing!!!! We had a great time
The best place for a dirty marti in NYC. Thanks so much, we missed you!
This is such a fun place. The burgers are always delicious, the staff is very friendly and the historic nature of the setting makes it a wonderfully unique experience.
Julius's is the best gay bar in NYC! The food is good and cheap and the bartenders are wonderful.
Julius’ is an amazing piece of living history. The drinks are strong and inexpensive. The food is sublime bar food. That burger is a must have.
I'm new to New York City and all I've wanted to do since my relocation is to sit in the great big window at Julius. I was so happy to get an indoor spot (the door was open, social distancing guidelines in place were excellent!) before indoor dining closed again. Great place. I always look forward to going back.
Good food. Great service. Historic venue. Lucky it’s open!
Always a fun and friendly place to have a drink and a bite to eat......
Burgers and chicken fingers are rad!
Wow. Was really surprised how badly we were treated this evening. I’ve been a patron of Julius for years and could not believe how bad everything was this evening. The service was the worst I’ve had during the pandemic anywhere. I think either everyone was hungover.... or maybe they are doing so well that they just don’t need business. Either way, I can’t go back until the pandemic is over.
Good for drinks
One of the best bars in New York City! Friendly environment, amazing staff and the best burger you will find in the city.
Julius' Bar is my favourite bar in NYC. Even in this really difficult time they've made every guest feel so welcome and so valued. I can't stress enough how lovely the staff are, and have been amazing in the face of a really stressful year.
The food is so delicious, drinks are reasonable, and the bar is such a treasure trove of LGBTQ+ history. Love it.
Nice place for a Guinness and to see friendly staff.
As always, Julius' was terrific. It's a great place to meet up with friends, and to make new ones.
Such a comfort to go to my favorite gay bar and have it feel just like it always did, even nw, during these otherwise uncomfortable times. Friendly service by the familiar (masked) faces of their wonderful staff, great burgers & onion rings, cold beer (of course), and responsible treatment of safety measures and social distancing!
Love the burgers and love the staff. Still one of the best joints in NYC.
Julius' is a treasure. Steeped in history and a perfect meet up spot for today.
Great, low key, historic gay bar in the West Village. Excellent, affordable drinks and bar food.
