Julius is a bar that has a lot of history. This structure has been welcoming folks since 1840, first as a grocery store, and then, in 1864 as a bar. It was built in 1826 on the corner of Amos Street (West 10th) and Factory Street (Waverly Place). Since then, we;ve started a variety of traditions at our bar.

I arrived at Julius on time for our reservation. When I got to the door, I was told there was a private party, and they were closed until 7:30. I said I had a reservation, and the doorman had no knowledge or interest in seeing my confirmation. I love the place and glad they had a private party that would bring them in money, but at least notify their reservation holders that they won't be able to honor the reservation.

The server Chad was one of the most attentive servers I’ve ever come across. And he shared the lovely history of the bar which gave us chills. The burger was fantastic. Good, chill music. Not super loud. Very affordable.

I made reservations for 4. They were only able to accommodate 2-3 of us which I found odd since I did reserve a table way in advance.

Always great at Julius. Something about the atmosphere and community puts everyone on their best behavior, and I always leave there with a smile on my face.
