Julian Serrano Tapas - Aria Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful service and the plates came pretty fast. Fun atmosphere and good food. We had a great evening.
Not a budget spot, especially if you are really hungry and order a great many things! Groups seemed to be enjoying snacking and talking, but there were lots of good tables for two also.
We arrived for our 7:30p reservation and were promptly seated. Our waiter was excellent in suggesting menu items. The items suggested were very tasty , flavorful and well presented. Our waiter suggested the mixed seafood paella . He stated that it'll take 45 minutes. All of the small tapas dishes arrived within a short time frame of ordering. The paella , however , never arrived even though the waiter said it was coming. 90 minutes later we had to cancel the paella as it was getting late. The waiter was very apologetic and comped us dessert and tea. That was a very nice gesture indeed ! We left happy and gave the waiter a very large gratuity. We'll be back to try the paella !
My first trip to Julian Serrano in 2011 was so memorable that when I found myself back in Vegas with friends that had never eaten here, I HAD to make a reservation for our first night dinner. The pitcher of Sangria was delicious, as was all the food. They loved it there as well, which made me so happy!
We eat at Julian Serrano's every time we visit Las Vegas. The tapas options are so varied and always wonderful. There is something for every palate! The service is top-notch and the atmosphere is electric, but comfortable. They do not rush their patrons! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Has potential but menu severely compromised by lack of variety you would expect at tapas bar.
The mushroom soup was exquisite as was the salad..
Disappointing were the meat dishes:
They were out of beef short ribs.
The pork ribs were tough—not as you would expect to be melt in your mouth quality. Even using the knife was challenging.
The chicken croquettes were cool on the inside and rather greasy...
We liked the drinks—clearly the bartender was on their game.
Wait staff was very nice and professional and attentive.. but the kitchen failed the whole experience....
My family thoroughly enjoyed the tapas. We had the chicken croquets, potatoes, Serrano Ham, cheese platter, and all were excellent! The red Sangria was perfect. The Serrano paella was good, but my least favorite of all the different food we ate. The perfect ending was the Churros and melted chocolate! Oh how delicious! This whole meal and a pitcher of Sangria was under $190 for the three of us.
Menu provides a great selection of authentic tapas. Really enjoyed the pork spareribs and rabo de toro. My wife enjoyed the beef ribs and churros! Great service by our waiter John Eric and fast delivery of order. Excellent selection of wines and brews. A bit pricey but as expected in Vegas/Aria.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal during our recent Las Vegas vacation. First time here and we will come back again. Our waiter (John Eric) took great care of us including a couple of recommendations for appetizers and wine. Started with Bread/Olive Queso Fresco and Chicken Croquettes - both very good, but the Shrimp Ceviche was absolutely fantastic!! We finished with a Mixed Paella that was also very good.
This was our fourth time at the restaurant. This time was a celebration of two birthdays in Vegas. Ernest was our waiter and he was great............very helpful and friendly. I even commended him to the manager as we were leaving. The food was SO good. It is fun to try different things with each small plate rather than just one entrée. We have definite favorites......
BangBang Shrimp is one we've had more than once. We will return on our next trip to Vegas next spring.
Disappointing service, average food and overall not a very welcoming or enjoyable experience. Staff more interested in the multiple huge groups in for dinner than taking care of us. Order not taken properly by the server so didnt get all our tapas. Also mentioned when booking that it was for a big birthday, but no mention or anything when we were at the restaurant. I know they don't have to do anything but it would have been nice.
Had been here four years ago, hence why I went back. Standards have fallen and overall just not a very good experience.
came here excited to try another julian serrano restaurant. i was underwhelmed by the food. the service started off slow but picked up well throughout. the asparagus a la plancha was not good because the hard stems were left on; i ate half of each very thin asparagus stalk. the shashimi (fish) with phyllo sounded interested but the presentation was not expected - it was shredded crispy phyllo (noodles) wrapped with a slice of raw fish and jalepeno. so unexpected and not particularly great. the stuffed piquillo peppers dish was the winner - deliciousness; the combinations of the sauce , peppers and cheese was a happy find.
first, i had dinner at Picasso by Julian Serrano. An elegant food experience with the menu degustation and a bottle of Spanish wine - Toro. I was ecstatically happ.
second, i had lunch at Julian Serrano Tapas (above).
lastly, i had lunch at Lago by Julian Serrano the next day. This was more than fantastic, overall.
DO NOT EAT HERE. This was such a disappointing experience. My friend and I love tapas so we were excited to try some from this highly rated restaurant, but boy were we surprised at how terrible it was. We started off with the sangria, which was glorified Welch's grape juice that was awfully sweet and unsatisfying. Next, we ordered some crostini and marinated olives, which were fine, but nothing to rave about. Then, we ordered the short rib and potatoes, which took about 30 min to come out of the kitchen. Meanwhile, our waitor was nowhere to be found most of the night. He seemed overwhelmed with the amount of customers he had to wait on.
Overall, I would skip this experience and find a different restaurant to go to while in Vegas. Don't ruin your night by starting here first!!
