The setting and ambiance of this restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was a pleasant find. The restaurant was intimate and open at the same time. Started with the Avocado Toast, which was exceptional. The beet salad was wonderful and I had the beef tenderloin, which was fantastic. Definitely a restaurant I would return to and recommend.

Since we discovered Jules at market we have become loyal customers. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is cozy and the prices are good. Being a byob makes it even more affordable. If you are looking for delicious fresh fish in a cozy atmosphere this is the place to go! Excellent!!!

Started off well, waitress explained the menu, gave us recommendations. Party of four, my friend and I split two meals, lobster tails and tile fish, both were very good, extremely small portions for the price. They forgot our appetizer, had to remind them. Forgot one of our sides, again had to tell them. My husband did not like his entree at all, Hawaiian fish, very oily and salty, my friends husband ordered crab cakes, they were the size of two scallops! He liked but again for the price...you’ve got to be kidding me! Waitress made a big fuss saying we are sorry we forgot a few things, coffee and dessert on house which was a nice touch...WELL....they never brought the coffee! Just the sugar and creamer...for a place trying to pretend they are a 5 star restaurant, service is sadly lacking! And portion size for the price is crazy. Yes some parts of dinner were great, but will not recommend

Second time at this establishment and we enjoyed it very much. BYOB with a small dining room and open kitchen floor plan, so you see the action. Owner is attentive and can explain fish options for you. We had salmon and scallops. Both were cooked to perfection. Veg is a la carte menu. and we had sugar snap peas. 4 types of raw oysters available. Bristol is great small town that has been reborn. This location was an former liquor store I think. Friendly staff, street parking or in lot behind Riverside Theater. Like seafood, try it!

Our first visit to Jules@Market was wonderful! We were greeted immediately by our waitress, Janelle, and given our choice of seating. Janelle spent a lot of time explaining the menu and recommended getting out of our comfort zone a little by trying something new. She explained that shopping for the restaurant is done everyday, so everything is very fresh. We started by sharing the avocado toast. This was a stretch for my wife since she did not think she liked avocado. She has now changed her mind. The dish was outstanding. My wife tried the tile fish, which was exceptional. I had the Skate cheeks, which was also well prepared and delicious. Both were new to us. Janelle described the texture and taste of each to a tee. The restaurant is small, seating no more than 40. We were surprised that it wasn't busier on this Thursday evening, because everything was so good! We will definitely become regulars here. We understand that the weekend nights are very busy however. Bristol is back! We highly recommend Jules@Market!!

Dined here last night. Came here based off you yelp reviews. The travel was about 40 minutes from my house but well worth it!
When we arrived we were promptly greeted and told it would be one moment. The gentlemen then directed us to a small table to the left of the entrance which we hesitated to sit at because it was right at the door. Then Jules jumped in she quickly redirected us to a table that would sit six although it was only 2 of us. She promptly gave was menus and poured water.
While viewing the menu Jules came back and explained the specials of the night and provided details of where the fish came from how it was farmed and what we could expect the taste to be. I really appreciated that she provided explanations and was well versed and honestly answered all the questions. I decided on the shrimp avocado toast as my appetizer, the tile fish as my entree. My best friend went with the salmon, we shared 10 oysters, Brussels Sprouts & cauliflower.
The oysters were light and fresh, no sea water or grit. My avocado toast could have been a meal. A generous serving of smashed avocado on ciabatta bread topped with blacked shrimp. There was a sauce on the plate but the app itself was so flavorful it wasn't necessary. My tile fish was light n flavor, firm in texture it was moist and very well seasoned seared perfectly or a bed of kale & spinach that was wilted to my liking. I sampled the salmon which was delicious as well. We cleared our plates and finished the whole bottle of wine! Too stuffed for dessert but will keep in mind to save room for a future visit.
This was worth the travel and every penny. I HIGHLY recommend!! A must!

Within our open table reservation we specifically requested a table toward the front of the restaurant. We were seated in the farthest table from the front, directly in front of the bathroom. Please try to accommodate requests in the future even if it means explaining that we may need to wait a few minutes for a better table. Thanks.

Our first dining experience at Jules last Friday was excellent! We like the fact that the kitchen was open and totally visible from any table. We were impressed that the chef came out and talked to us. Service is 'tag team' style and both servers were excellent. Really cool setting - industrial yet cozy. Most importantly, the food was outstanding! Menu is predominately seafood. Our 2 guys really enjoyed the avocado & shrimp toast app. One ordered Salmon, the other had Sea Bass for entrees. Friend and I shared Mussels in mustard cream sauce for app. Soooo good! And plentiful - we couldn't even finish. We both ordered the halibut for entrée. Sides are a la carte. Server recommended 2 would be enough for the 4 of us. All of our meals were delicious! Fish very fresh and cooked to perfection. Snow peas and broccoli sides were great. Although we were full, we shared a tasty dessert of berries with lemon curd. Even the coffee was really good!
We're looking forward to going back soon!

The restaurant was a bit smaller than I expected but loved the opened kitchen atmosphere. The service was excellent and our waitress took time to explain preparation of the dishes as well as answered all our questions. The food was phenomenal!! The serving sizes were generous and presented nicely along with the family style sides(which were plentiful and amazing as well).
A very pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend and we will definitely go back.

We love Jules. Always looking for a decent selection of seafood, we stumbled upon Jules on OpenTable. It was almost a half hour drive, so we were so hoping we might find a winner---and we did. Our entrees, Trout and Mako Shark were deliciously prepared. And the atmosphere is quite cool. I love to cook, so sitting near an open kitchen is always fascinating to me. We're going back for sure.

Our welcome was luke-warm. We were told where to sit rather than shown to our table. The hostess pointed toward our table. When we sat down, we weren't really sure if we seated ourselves at the right table.

Seating was tight; like sardines in a can. The tables were very close together with very little room between them. It was claustrophobic! There was no privacy or intimacy. We had the bad luck to be seated on an end no padding. Uncomfortable!

It was a scaled down limited menu, because it was Valentine's Day.

We shared an appetizer - an avocado toast. It was tasty except for the shrimp. It had very little flavor.

We shared a beet salad with goat cheese. It was delicious.

For our main course - hubby had the halibut - I ordered the beef tenderloin. We also ordered 2 sides - garlic smashed potatoes & sugar snap peas.

The chef took the liberty of cutting my tenderloin into teeny pieces, as if I were a toddler & needed my meat cut up for me. It was weird. Even the way it was plated & presented was unappealing.

For dessert, we had Banana Singapore. It was okay. The only other choice was berries & we often have them at home.

Jules@Market has become our favorite seafood restaurant period.

That fact that it's only a few miles from my home is just the cherry on top of a wonderful banana split!

We've been there at least six times. Big groups and "just the two of us", with the same excellent experience!

The open concept is what starts the experience. High ceilings, big open walls, big windows, and a complete view of the kitchen, greets you like a big strong hug.

Almost always Julia will be there to greet you and seat you, as she already has your table in mind before you even arrived!

The appetizer list is short and sweet. My favorites are the avocado toast w/ blackened shrimp and the lump crab cocktail! Both to die for...

My favorite entree is the Chilean sea bass! I've had it five out of six visits. The halibut is excellent, but once I had the sea bass, why bother with perfection. It's all fresh! Jules could serve it as sashimi if she wanted!!!

If you can make it to dessert, the bananas foster would be my pick.

My husband's dinner was the best - he ordered the Chilean sea bass. It was juicy and flavorful. We shared a side of smashed potatoes and an appetizer of shrimp avocado toast. The avocado toast was amazing. My two negatives were the dessert was pretty over priced and the noise level was very high. However, we were there for Valentine's Day and despite being a full house, it didn't feel rushed or too packed.

Loveliest Valentine's Day dinner. The shrimp cocktail was superb, the shrimp were expertly cooked and flavorful. I didnt share one bite of the caprese salad, the tomatoes were summer quality. John loved his oysters. The highlight of my dinner was the lobster tail that was just divine. We have come to expect top notch tenderloin and we weren't disappointed. Our server, John, was perfect and added to our really elegant, romantic dinner. Truly memorable.

WE were seated i/2 hour later than our reservation time. Waitress had a bad attitude- we had to ask for water & menus twice. My entree (yellowtail snapper) was very salty. Kitchen separated only by a low wall the height of table- I could have done without the kitchen visual. Very disappointing overall.
