Our favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill...Dumplings are a great value
Great food, quick service, I can’t wait to come back for dinner!
They just changed their menu and deleted a couple of entries that we liked. We'll still eat there, but wish they hadn't made the change.
Greatly enjoyed their unusual food and most grateful to the wait staff who looked after us so well. The bill at the end was moderate. Will return soon.
Always a reliable bet for a great meal. This evening children and grandchildren everybody left happy! Great food, great drinks.
Excellent service and very fine small plates.
Wonderful birthday spot for a group! Jujube never disappoints!
Great restaurant that serves up oriental fusion food that is both tasty and innovative. Out group shared some dumplings that were delicious and half off. I had the special ribeye for dinner with miso butter, smashed potatoes and greens. The steak was awesome with the miso butter adding a hint of sweetness and umami. The veggies were a tad greasy, especially the potatoes. Still, very enjoyable meal and exceptional service.
As usual, the food and menu choices were superb! This is a favorite restaurant. I should add that the cocktails were exceptional.
We went to this lovely Japanese restaurant for my wife's Birthday and we had a great time and their food was amazing!
Service was slow and it took forever to get drinks. Kung Pow chicken was good, but the wok seared port was very average and tasted like a salt lick.
Indoor is somewhat noisy, outside ok and pleasant.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Awesome as usual!!
Great takes on Asian fusion. Hanger steak was amazing. Service and ambiance top notch.
1---Much of the food was too salty
2--One dish arrived and was very spicy. No warning had been given as to the spiciness. Inedible.
3---Salmon was bordering on too dry.
Interesting menu, good service, and quiet atmosphere
Entree was very disappointing. Pan fried crab and shrimp cake.
This restaurant was disappointing because the new branch in Durham (Juju) is much better. The Kung Lao chicken was drowning in soy sauce and terribly over-salted, and the hot spring roll was basically a salty sausage wrapped in pastry. The pork belly dumplings were much less tasty than Juju's. Atmosphere and service were OK.
Great creative and not typical Asian menu with excellent wine list by the glass and bottle. Miranda was our server on a Saturday night and provided professional service . Make a reservation as its a popular place
As always, we had a wonderful dinner. Can't beat the potstickers and bolognese!
This was our first time at Jujube but will certainly not be our last. Their wasn't anything about the experience that we didn't love. The food was fantastic. The service er was attentive, friendly and made good recommendations. The ambience was subdued but warm and not noisy. The oyster mushroom soup and the short rib/goat cheese wontons are must haves.
We decided to select some of the small plates and wine. I really like the "Island of Misfit Toys" category of wines. A bit eclectic and surprising. Try the Spicy Oyster Mushroom Curry Soup, a rich broth with coconut milk and a bit of spice. The kale dumplings were also delicious!
Jujube (and Juju in Durham, the sister restaurant) has very innovative and delicious Asian dishes. They are sometimes oversauced, like the crispy kale which was drenched in a sauce which delicious though it was, overpowered the rest of the dish. But the food is innovative and tasty and well worth the moderate prices.
The only thing I would change is the side-by-side table arrangement, which doesnt offer any privacy. Also, the warmed crispy kale was not a crispy as usual. But it is great! More vegetarian options would be even greater!
Well done fusion. Good selection of gluten free choices.
Food was very good as usual, we brought along good friends that had never dined at Jujubes and they liked it. My only negative was they seemed to be short-staffed and so the service was a bit slow and less attentive than on our previous visits.
Our daughter has told us multiple times about Jujube and we finally had the opportunity to dine there. It was as good as she had told us!
Four foodie friends together for a post-holiday evening. Everyone loved their creative and delicious food, drinks, and wine. Service was terrific. I think it will be our choice for our annual dinner.
Consistently delicious. I'm writing more because there's a 50 character minimum.
Our favorite special occasion restaurant, with great food.
We love Jujube -- especially their dumplings -- but really everything is very good. We've come in and had nothing but the dumplings, in fact. Never been disappointed in a dish. Service is good, prices are in the moderate to high, but worth it.
My wife and I had dinner which overall was very good. We ordered appetizers and she had the Vietnamese salad rolls and I had the Cha Gio both of which were excellent. Each appetizer was it enough for two. For dinner I had the jujube Bolognese which was good but one-dimensional. My wife had the scallops which were cooked just right and the plate was very good. For dessert we shared the Apple goat cheese dumpling. Which were excellent. Overall a great experience.
I really enjoy Jujube. The food is always excellent!
Jujube is one of our favorite restaurants because of its consistently excellent food, friendly, efficient service, and warm atmosphere.
Our experience celebrating my birthday at Jujube with my husband and two teens was perfect. Wonderful service, food and drinks.
Good food - great service - we went out there for Christmas dinner as a family
Beautifully presented and delicious food. Excellent service too.
The food is always excellent here. Enjoy the variety and great service too.
Outstanding meal and experience as usual.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Good food. Since our last visit, they have toned down the spiciness in many dishes and offer a few more non-spicy dishes. Service was friendly, efficient, and warm. Be challenged in eating the dinner special, Vietnamese pho with duck and noodles! Delicious though.
