Juju serves up small plates with bold flavors, each prepared creatively with attention to tradition, whimsy, local integrity, and, of course, deliciousness. In addition to its extensive and delicious menu, Juju features a dynamic beverage program of hand-made cocktails, extensive Sake selections and a well-chosen list of artisan wines and craft beers.
Dine at the exquisite bar, in the luxurious booths, in the main dining room, or around the fire pit on the patio. Make a meal from small plates or order a whole Peking duck to share with friends.
Just come ready for a memorable experience.
The excellent guidance we received from our server, Jennifer, made the experience all the more wonderful. She was able to describe the small plates well enough for us to be able to choose according to our tastes. The mushroom and cabbage dumplings were phenomenal and the summer rolls were very generously sized. The bok choy and shitake mushrooms are also wonderful, although they are a little over the top as far as the heat level.
This is the third time I’ve been to Juju. Everything has stayed fairly consistent: it’s always loud and energetic, the service is fantastic, prices haven’t changed significantly, etc.
The one major exception is the food. When I first went to Juju, the chefs really capitalized on staying true to Asian flavors and having those flavors shine through. When I went to Juju this time, there was bacon is so many dishes and four of the 8-9 “meat” dishes were candied. I felt as though the menu is trying to be a fusion between Asia and America and it is definitely not working. The crazy menu items seemed way too experimental and the flavor combinations were uncomfortable. I’m sorry to say but I will not be back any time soon.
Great lunch experience. Ate outside and he rains stayed away. Tapas for lunch is great! Variety without huge portions is perfect
Last time we tried to eat at Juju we had a negative experience. Afterward, I expressed my frustration with our experience in my review on Open Table. The manager of the restaurant reached out to us the next day to express their regret over our experience. I really appreciated how they tried to make the situation better.
Tonight we returned for the first time since our negative experience. Based on our experience tonight, and most other times we have visited, we really like this restaurant. It has wonderful food in a cozy, lively atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone. They proved to me from our last experience that they truly care enough to try to make a bad experience better. We will definitely return. Thank you!
This was my first time at JuJu, and I’m so glad I finally went. The food was overall absolutely outstanding. The only disappointment was the small amount of collards in the bacon- collard dumplings, but the flavor was still good. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. This is a special occasion place for me because of the prices, but I will definitely go back.
First time here and it was wonderful. Our server made great recommendations. Portion sizes were good compared to some small plate/tapas restaurants. Highly recommend and will go back.
Our waiter was totally delightful and very helpful when we explained we had a movie to go to! Food was delicious, as usual, and the ambiance is exactly to my taste! I always find it relaxing and warm ...! So glad you are in our neighborhood!
Lovely as always!
We always enjoy our evenings (or lunches) at Juju's! The menu is interesting, an Asian fusion. I'm sorry they took the Gado Gado off the menu -- and tell the staff each time we go -- a wonderful vegetarian dish with a peanut sauce (which you can still get at their sister restaurant in Jujubes in Chapel Hill), but enjoy the casual atmosphere at Juju's. We try to sit at one of the booths in the bar area. Fun! Highly recommend.
It was our first time there. Really enjoyed everything we had. The dishes were creative and different. The only regular item we ordered was the pork spareribs and they were delicious, meaty and flavorful. Crab cake in a coconut sauce was outstanding. We tried 3 other dishes and enjoyed each one. We will definitely retutn
For the first time ever, we were very disappointed with the brussel sprouts. Our wait person offered to have them redone, so can't complain too much. Otherwise, everything else delicious and excellent service.
Food is amazing, creative and delicious. It combines various Asian styles. Playrs are brought out separately like tapas.
Everything we ordered was delicious and our server, Jennifer, was very helpful in guiding us on dishes and how many to order. We have already recommended JuJu to several friends!
We enjoyed small plates. Everything was delicious.
The menu is so interesting and the food so flavorful that we started planning what to have on our next visit. The presentations are lovely, and the wait staff so helpful and pleasant.
The very first dining experience for my family and I. Outstanding food and wonderful service made the experience the best. We plan on eating there again, soon!
Loved everything, especially the crispy brussel sprouts. We appreciated our server helping with identifying dishes with no cilantro or where cilantro could be removed.
Easy, good and cheap Asian restaurant in Durham. The Tom Yum was very good, actually.
The wait staff was outstanding! Very knowledgeable of the menu, adept at suggestions, and attentive and friendly throughout our time in the restaurant. The four of us sampled a number of items from across the menu, and all were very good; most, excellent!
The only that would have improved it is reducing the noise level.
I took my girlfriend to Juju for her birthday. The food was great, the service wonderful, and the ambiance very nice. Great experience. If you're on the fence, GO!
It never matters what I order at Juju; it's *all* delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and reasonable. And I'm gluten-free!
The food was superb, as was the restaurant decor AND service.
Nice ambiance with a sweeping views, extensive menu and a large bar.
Fabulous food, great outdoor deck and excellent service. Outstanding.
Juju is one of my favorite restaurants in all of RALEIGH/Durham. Delicious food and always great service. Worth the price every time.
Great birthday dessert was an added treat. We were there on a Tuesday, and the noise level was much better than the weekends inside. Food was delicious, as always. Great wine selection and great service - great all around experience.
I've been to JuJu multiple times, and it never disappoints. The service is great, the food is excellent, and there is a nice choice of beverages. The only downside to this visit was that I got a follow-up from OpenTable asking why I hadn't made my reservation. Not a big deal, but I was there!
Surprisingly high quality Asian fusion in a small city. The outdoor terrace is very pleasant and the restaurant is in a quirky part of Durham
Go! Go now and often. Unparalleled service and the food is INCREDIBLE. Order the Peking Duck 2 days in advance, you won't regret it. Or don't everything is amazing. We've been twice and will be dreaming about it until next time. This restaurant does EVERYTHING right.
Excellent food that comes in sizes perfect to share with a lot of people around a table! Sit outside on the patio!
My husband and I so enjoyed the dumplings, with their Monday to Thursday reduced price, and the chaat with crunchy chick peas, cauliflower, and about 10 other spices and ingredients was the highlight! Well, our server was super too and the Ju Ju Whisky Sour lovely!
Lives up to the fusion and the reputation for enjoyable “Asian” fusion food.
Most delicious Asian fusion tapas!! Everything we tried was so tasty but we especially loved the bbq wontons, omg, crazy delicious! We will definitely be going back!
I enjoyed the food but my out of town guests were totally overwhelmed and at least one person did not enjoy it at all.
Attentive service, great food and friendly staff made for an enjoyable evening at Juju Durham.
Pretty large portions considering its Tapas style. Great drinks as well.
Food was tasty and very different. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!
This was our first visit and we really enjoyed everything about Juju. We went for lunch on a Saturday and they were not very busy. The food and service were both outstanding.
My husband and I enjoyed Juju. We ordered the lamb chops, hickory smoked ribs and the spring rolls for a appetizer.
It was our second time at Juju and again the food was outstanding and innovative, the ambience beautiful and the service was impeccable.
