Everything from stepping foot in the door to the moment we left was a wonderful experience. The service was fantastic. This is a small plates style restaurant which we love because we got to try so many different things. Each dish we ordered exploded with flavor. We left Juju feeling more than satisfied.
Amazing experience. Keep running out of spicy tuna bites though :(
Peking Duck was fabulous. I would have preferred pancakes instead of the buns as they are too filling and we left half the duck because of this. Otherwise a fabulous evening, great value and superb service. Corkage fee is very reasonable. Thanks for a great evening JuJu.
Do not ever let Kate leave
Service could have been much better. Not many diners there, but server(s) did not come by but three times after food arrived (including bringing the check). Had to fill our own water glasses. Food was OK, ribs were too tough for my taste (should have fallen off the bone rather than hacking away with the knife). Still will give them another try.
We lucked out and went earlier in the day. The server was still a little busy but the food and drinks came out extremely quick and was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.
shrimp dumpling didn't convey any shrimp flavor. lettuce&rice wraps lacked flavor. pork egg rolls were good. Mongolian beef was tough. Service was excellent. Ambiance is good and quiet enough to converse.
Food never disappoints. It’s so flavorful and amazing.
The food has wonderfully complex and rich flavors and textures and teach tapas plate was wonderful and their flavors blended with each other well also. Good service but not in your face so perfect for conversations. Reasonable vegetarian options that were tasty.
The food is incredible. The ambience is also incredible.
Amazing food! We had a great table and even though it was a busy night, the staff members were attentive and overall it was a great experience.
Great service and a menu with variety! The staff proactively asked if we were attending a DPAC event so they could get us out in time.
JuJu is one of my favs in Durham. This time, I have to say my most FAVORITE dessert, Brown Butter Pot du Creme, was disappointing. It had very little of the sea salt, the creme fraiche didn't seem quite right - and all in all it feel a bit OLD. Very odd. Of course I ate the whole thing, but it was definitely not up to par.
Service, as usual, excellent.
Juju was recommended to me by friends and now I feel like I owe them my firstborn because that was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I woke up this morning thinking about my meal from last night. Service was excellent. Sean took care of us, answered all of our questions and paced visits to the table perfectly.
Because I couldn’t order everything on the menu, we started with the pork and chive dumplings and the spicy tuna bites. Despite the rice under the bites not being quite as crispy as I was expecting on the tuna bites, the flavors were so phenomenal that we ordered another one with desserts. For larger plates we did the sisig and the scallops. The sisig was excellent with the saltiness of the pork, some acidity from the pickled onion, and fluffiness and slight sweetness of the bread tied everything together into a well balanced bite. But my absolute favorite was the scallops. First of all, they were seared perfectly. I mean perfectly. Cutting through them was like cutting through butter while still being beautifully browned on top. Props to whoever was on sauté that night in the kitchen. There was a slight spiciness in the sauce from the green curry which worked so well with the coconut milk and the crispy rice added great texture. If I had room to eat more, I would have gotten another order of those in a heartbeat. But we were saving room for the chocolate peanut butter mousse cup, the brouled yuzu lemon curd, and the pot de creme. All three were excellent, but the chocolate mousse and the pot de creme stood out in particular.
All in all, a fabulous meal. Run, don’t walk, over there for a fantastic memorable meal. I will definitely make an effort to come back to try all of the other dishes they offer.
An amazing place to take a friend or date, incredible food, beautiful atmosphere. A huge asset to the city of Durham!
Love the small plates and the food is fabulous. Great service.
Exceptional food and service as always.
The food was amazing and the staff superb! We sat outside and had a wonderful lunch.
The scallops were definitely not worth the price paid. Was hoping to at least get a few more.
We shared tapas and one entree on the patio. Everything we ordered was outstanding except for the skirt steak, which the entree. It was good, but we probably wouldn’t order again as the other dishes were so delicious and there are so many choices. Juju definitely continues to my favorite Durham restaurant!
Always great. Took a friend who had not been and she enjoyed also.
Excellent food and kind / attentive service from the host, our waiter and the staff more broadly.
I had an awesome experience at Juju! Very lovey atmosphere! Great food! Great service! Definitely will be back.
We tried numerous dishes (plates and bites). Everything was great except the mushroom and cabbage dumplings they lacked flavor. Would order everything else again next time
Delicious! A must place to dine when in Durham. The sizzling sissig with bing bread is da bomb! The mint condition cocktail is so tasty! Save room for dessert!
Had a spectacular dinner! Ordered lots of tapas and several pitchers of the white sangria. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful. THANK YOU @juju staff, line cooks, and chef! We enjoyed every second of our dinner.
Sincerely: Kahmil Spain
Great spot for a date, a lot of small plate options to share and a good drink + dessert selection!
This was a long overdue get together with friends. I have been raving about JuJu to them for some time & they did not disappoint! It was fantastic! We requested outside a table for 6 and JuJu called in advance to confirm & to check on any special requests. We ordered several different dishes & everyone was impressed. Hostess & service was outstanding! I highly recommend JuJu for a great tapas experience!
Good. Food good. Server good. Lovely weather for outdoor seating
Very nice and peaceful environment food was delicious
The food was delicious and the service was attentive.
One of the best restaurants in Durham. Service was phenomenal and the perfect night to sit outside for dinner. Definitely a great spot for a date night or just a night out. We will be back again!
Outstanding taste palette, executed to perfection.
❤️ Juju! Delish 😋 Asian Fusion Tapas. Must EAT every time we visit Durham.
It was my birthday but they never acknowledged it. I was disappointed. Food always delicious but they need to change menu and offer specials. It’s getting repetitive for me so I won’t be going back for awhile.
The menu choices are wonderful and the food was served promptly. It was tastefully presented and absolutely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen and the chef! The service was spotty though. Our table outside somehow got forgotten and it was a while before we could get a waiter's attention. He apologized and immediately swooped in to correct the situation, bringing us water and table settings within seconds. But we clearly weren't his table. Our waitress did come, but reluctantly. We don't know why, but she remained sullen and unhappy about having to serve us throughout the meal even though we'd given her no cause to be. Also, a word to the wise - if you want to enjoy your appetizers before the main dishes arrive, be sure not to order them together. The kitchen is lightning quick and one of our main dishes arrived first, before our dumplings and spring rolls, even though we'd asked for the main dishes to be served later (we were told that the main dishes can take 20 minutes to prepare, so it was best to get the order into the kitchen, but that was evidently not the case). Everything arrived pretty much at once which didn't give me time to enjoy my cocktail. Also my cocktail was served without a straw, and the glass was difficult to drink from without it. It took a while to get one because of the lackluster service. So there were a few glitches in service but that didn't take away from our wonderful dinner. The food was so good, but we will take our time ordering next time. The fried rice was excellent, as was the lamb and Mongolian Beef. And we really enjoyed the doughnut dessert which we split among four of us.
Good food and good service.
Overall, nice place and look forward to going again.
We celebrated a birthday with a great dinner tonight. The food was great. Highlights were the garlic ramen noodles, leek fried rice, and the brown butter pot de creme. The service was also top notch. The pace that the food was brought to the table was great.
Food was excellent
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! Just the right amount of spice in the Thai inspired dishes we shared. Always excellent preparation, presentation, service and cocktails!
Tables were space apart and they have outdoor seating.
