"Judges restaurant and cocktail bar, formerly known as The Sun, is situated in the beautiful village of Northaw on the village green. This landmark Grade II listed building has, over many long months, been lovingly restored to its rightful glory. With a modern eclectic European and British menu, Carlos believes in sourcing local produce from artisan suppliers, where the provenance and quality of the foods are fully traceable. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of something sparkling under one of our chandeliers or having a scrumptious afternoon tea by the log fire, our bar and restaurant mix period features with modern day elegance, creating a memorable dining experience. Our cocktail bar and lounge areas are the perfect space for just popping by for an espresso martini or a light bite.     Another superb evening at Judges. The staff are so courteous and professional, the food is excellent and the ambience perfect. The best place to celebrate a special occasion. Also just to say that the magician/illusionist was fantastic. Brilliant tricks and wonderful entertaining interaction with the guests. A lovely touch to add to a great evening. Thank you.

    We eat regularly at Carlos @ Judges restaurants and Northaw remains our first choice. The staff & the food are always first class and we would happily recommend it.

    Good experience overall, a little piece of the Mediterranean in Northaw! Just a couple of niggles that need addressing. Some of the waiters, particularly the men, come across aggressive. We had a guy- a large-ish, balding man who literally barked at us ‘You want drinks?’ There is also a till/ focal point that waiters seem to convene, which is also where we were seated. Their militant communication to each other is right within earshot- I wouldn’t recommend sitting there if you’re looking for a romantic ambience! All in all, I will be returning, but sitting somewhere else… and hopefully I’ll have the lovely female waitress instead!
