Spectacular! After four courses and a long leisurely dinner - a birthday celebration, I can happily and assuredly say Jubilee is exceptionally good. We are big fans of French food and this is truly some of the most delicious food we've had in quite a while. Service was warm, but never intrusive and always professional. In addition, every course was better than the last! (Far too many restaurants can handle appetizers, but fall apart when it comes to entrees- NOT Jubilee!) Btw, no matter what entree you have, please ask for the haricot verts on the side! Wow!! I love a string bean, but these are crazy good! (I'm sure it's massive amounts of butter, but sooooooo worth it!!!) We had beet salad & escargot to start, salmon tartare & comte cheese ravioli for our second course and Dover Sole & Filet Mignon for our mains. Exceptionally well prepared, each dish. After all that we were surprised by a comped dessert- a sort of chocolate mousse log with a birthday candle. So thoughtful! All this to say, we will be back and soon! We will definitely not wait till the next birthday celebration for our return visit! Could not recommend Jubilee more highly!
My favorite restaurant 😋 My favorite mussel dish.
Wonderful food and setting! Service was slightly hurried, not providing us the ease of dining Jubilee usually did.
The coq au vin was delicious and the service extraordinary.
QUALITY FRENCH CUISINE - We always have a fine meal at this cozy and welcoming neighborhood French bistro. The food is reliably excellent, many standard choices plus daily specials. We have been many times and will again when we next visit NY.
As always, Jubilee on 1st Avenue was GREAT!!! The staff is wonderful!
Birthday for a dear friend. It was wonderful
Food was delicious and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They surprised us with a beautiful birthday dessert. Will definitely be back!
We had an excellent dinner at Jubilee this past Friday! My husband enjoyed the mussels, and my filet mignon was top notch. Jubilee is a great neighborhood place with friendly staff. Looking forward to returning.
Best French restaurant in town!
Strongl recommended !
Decided to try this neighborhood restaurant for NYeve dinner. Food and service was great. Low rating because hostess led us to the worst table when the restaurant was not at all busy. Asked for a different table for which she ultimately accommodated us.
We went in for NYE and ate at the bar so we could watch a bowl game. It’s a lovely neighborhood place we go often. The bartender takes great care of everyone who dines at the bar. It was a special menu due to the occasion; traditional French specialties. The duck breast was amazing. The foie gras is always excellent. They have a good French wine list and very seasoned staff. It’s a regular spot for many folks in the neighborhood. Great service and very reliably French menu.
I love Jubilee and had a terrific meal there last night. Of the three excellent courses, I have to single out the really superb Grand Marnier Soufflé! The service was efficient and pleasant and the ambience civilized and comfortable.
One criticism: the bathrooms, now unisex (which is fine), do not lock. They need to address that.
Wonderful meal, superb service!!
My wife and I dined on the confit du canard (duck leg) offering on the regular menu.
We are partial to confit du canard and Chef Luc’s rendering of this dish was one of the best we’ve experienced both here in NYC and in France. The meat was flavorful, moist and falling off the bone, skin crispy, just the right amount of fat to insure flavor. It was accompanied by a rich, dark. sauce which was a treat in and of itself. My wife and I like Jubilee for its having maintained high standards. In short, it’s a real French restaurant
Good food and good service
Everything was good but the service which was very rushed with the waiters behaving like they had to get home early. They did not ask whether we wanted any bread (had to ask for it), did not take time to tell us about the specials (had to ask for it), asked us 5 times whether we wanted a drink, cleared dishes immediately as soon as we had the last bite, poured more wine and water in our glasses every 5mins once we had a few sips, took away the wine bottle while not sure there was some left, etc. Again it felt very rushed.
Been here quite a few times. I love the food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant for French food.
Food excellent wine list not what it used to be but will go back
Sat at the bar and had a great dinner.
Very cozy room
Friendly and professional staff
And the Food was delicious
Love this restaurant. We have been there many times and food and service are great.
Terrific food and service.
Spouse manages the front of the House

Husband is the Chef
Creative menu , selection of ingredients , good portions
A Bijou in its own neighberhood
Food quality was excellent and service was great, but prices have risen and there’s even an extra charge for a baguette. Nice atmosphere.
A neighborhood surprise. The tuna and salmon tartare was as good as I have ever had and the salmon entrée was fantastic. Sam, our waiter, was go good and personable that we would go back just to see him.
The mussels provencal and dover sole are my favorite in this rustic cozy french restaurant! Great soups and desserts as well!
Wonderful authentic French Bistro. We have eaten there many times-love the food, ambience and the service is always attentive. It is very fairly priced for the quality of what is served. We brought friends this time, and it is a comfortable environment to actually hear one another. They loved it and will also be back.
The value of the meal was not worth the price paid for. But the waitress was engaging and the restaurant was conveniently located close to home.
We love this place! Been coming here for years, and have never had a bad meal. Amazing mussels, steak tartare, and yes they have chocolate soufflé . Staff is friendly and accommodating . Never rush you. Love, love, love!
This was our first experience at Jubilee. The food and staff are amazing. We will be back.
Excellent Dover sole as always and the soufflé is delicious! Service was great also!
Love this restaurant !!
Solid and consistent. Good food and service always.
Loved the mussels and the sufflet. We’ll be back!
So, Jubilee is a neighborhood gem. The waitstaff is so very warm, attentive and wonderful. The hostess (owner) should take a lesson from her incredible waitstaff, as she is neither warm nor attentive nor accommodating. The former hostess was also incredibly accommodating and warm, but, now, the initial greeting is woefully lacking. That said, the food is authentically French ( mussels, onion soup, endive salad, soufflé are scrumptious), and, again, the waitstaff could not be lovelier. The ambiance is warm and comforting. So, we recommend Jubilee for an overall very good experience, especially if you can avoid the hostess.
As always, the food was delicious. I had the best Duck Confit I ever had. And my friend and I always love to share their wonderful Profiterolle.
Possibly the best meal we had during our NYC visit! The service was amazing… the bartender was fabulous! We were there Thanksgiving night and it was packed with people enjoying the evening. We ordered from the price fixed menu. Scallops were delicious the steak was cooked perfectly (so was the salmon). Dessert was a work of art. Do not miss this experience. So worth it!
