Had a really bad experience. The wine we ordered was undrinkable, so I sent it back. I had it decanted because I thought the hard edges would open up. It didn’t.
The manager then came to our table and lectured me, saying the wine was fine, and I was wrong. She was so harsh to me, my 21 year old daughter started crying.
I used to love this restaurant, and have been here many times.
We will not return.
Probably the best French bistro/café in Manhattan
Consistently great food, attentive but unobtrusive service, and this was on a holiday weekend!
We love having dinner at this restaurant. The menu offers a lot to choose from and the food is delicious.
Always enjoy the food. Had hugh caesar salad. The hanger steak with fried onions and french fries and salad greens was just the way I like it. Hugh portion. Took home a doggy bag. All staff looks to please.
Their mussels are delicious. Service is wonderful, attentive but not intrusive.
Three of us got the mussels, which should be fresh and good, given the number of preparations and dishes offered. They were bad. We had two different preparations - three orders - all bad. So disappointing.
Cozy, warm, great food. Some lovely new additions to the menu! Still our favorite!
Overall a lovely meal, my date liked it very much. Shrimp / Avocado appetizer was excellent.
Our waiter tried very hard to accommodate but hovered too much, offered too many suggestions on the wines (on which we were both knowledgeable). It made me feel rushed--It wouldn't deter me from returning, but . . .
Jubilee never disappoints. The food was excellent and perfectly prepared. The service was cheerful and attentive. I particularly appreciate the low noise level, which makes for a most pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended!
Great Food! Great service!
We had dinner with a friend in the neighborhood and enjoyed it very much. They allowed us to have the price fixed meal even though we were there after the normal time for that meal. I had the pate and the Moules Mariniere. My husband had the Moules Dijonaises and the profiterol, which we all shared for dessert. My other friend had the Caesar Salad and the salmon. The dinners came with a glass of wine. Everything was delicious.
Bistro feel. Good value & staff.
This is the most enjoyable French Bistro ever. The mussels are outstanding with a variety of additions
A neighborhood gem that is warm and welcoming
Nice atmosphere. The food is always great and the prices are reasonable
We are visitors to NY and found the Jubilee last and find it one of the best restaurants in Manhattan.
This visit had some drawbacks in that the waiter for our table was completely lost. Had it not been for the maître d’ who quickly analyzed the situation took control and made the evening a success. The food is always excellent and we will definitely return.
Good food, service and ambiance. Great music playing in the background.
Excellent quality. Croque Madame at $23 seems overpriced for what it is. About $15 seems more fitting.
Have been to Jubilee many times. Never disappointed. Food very tasty. Hostesses pleasant, patient and helpful.
Food was overall excellent, as usual. Wonderful onion soup, gaspacho and scallops.
However, soft shell crabs were small, expensive and looked deep fried - although we asked before ordering and were told they were pan fried - which we assumed meant sauteed. Not so - breaded and fried with a sauce on the side. Taste was mostly fried breading and crunchy texture. Disappointing.
Great food and service. Strongly recommend to all.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on a hot, hot evening. It was cool and calm inside.
Great service good food.
Hidden Gem. Love the mussels!! Everything is delish!!
The food was pretty good, but could not possibly make up for the service. The staff was invariably absent anytime we had concerns and everything took an extremely long time despite our insistence that our party needed to get back to work. The three people in my party, myself included, all ordered medium rare cheeseburgers—in no way should this take an hour and a half. I was left embarrassed to be the one who chose the place. All in all, will not go back.
Mussels were delicious
The staff just couldn’t be nicer and dinner was fantastic. We had the prixe fix meal which is available all night on Sunday. The steak and frites just melt in your mouth. Mussels are always a win here. Very nice decor. A favorite in our neighborhood.
Always a great meal. Staff and food are top notch. A neighborhood fave!
We continue to revisit this nice but dated French restaurant. Our table was located in a back corner. Cramped and warm. Other than that disappointing location we enjoyed the excellent food. My wife dad Dover sole and I had the special catch a nice breaded cod. Nice selection of wines.
As always a great place if you are looking for real Belgian moules et frittes 😍
As usual, Jubilee hit on all marks. The staff is world
class and the food follows that same distinction.
Soup de Jour was split pea - a favorite of mine so the Escargot which I thought I would be ordering will wait until next time. And I enjoyed another favorite - Steak Tartar. Profiteroles for dessert topped off a terrific evening.
The staff was welcoming and very friends, the restaurant is extremely clear and tidy, and most importantly smells so good, above all food tastes so yummy.
Really enjoyed a great dinner highlighted by the best soft shell crabs I have had in a long long time. Cannot say enough about them. Also enjoyed the foie gras and the grand mariner souffle. Very highly recommended.
In addition to the great food service was also excellent
We always enjoy habit dinner here. The food is delicious and well prepared. The menu offers many choices. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. A little bit of France is present in NYC.
C’était fantastique!! Merci beaucoup!
delicious pork chop, gazpacho and grilled octopus. but wine needed to be decanted. too much sediment, especially at that price.
Everything was most agreeable; the cuisine, the service, the ambience. The quail lollipop (Don't be missled by the cutesy name.) is an inspired creation. Our waiter, Moh, was friendly, courteous and helpful with menu choices and wine selections. Nous attendons notre retour a Jubilee avec impatience.
Great mussels and a fig/goat cheese salad that must be tried.
Consistently good food.
