We made our reservation 5 weeks ago (anniversary dinner) & a table in the portrait room. We were seated instead at the back of the restaurant and were told that such requests were only recommendations. We pointed out there was a table for two in the portrait room, they said another couple had “reserved” it and were on their way. When my husband pointed out that we had made a reservation and were present, we got a shrug. Eventually, a table was set up for us. I asked the hostess as we left if we should have made reservations even earlier, but she only said the room was very popular. I think at the very least special requests should be honored first come, first served AND that customers be contacted ASAP if their request can’t be accommodated.

My husband ordered oyster sardou Benedict. The oysters were hot. The rest of his dish was stone cold. It seemed like it was taken out of refrigeration and they forgot to heat it. At the end of the meal I told our waitress. Not sure if the information was passed on or not.

We went to Jubans last Veterans Day and they made a big deal out of it. The staff all came by and thanked my dad for his service. They took pictures and even posted on their website. In 2022 the veterans meal was complementary. Not so in 2023. We were seated in a small room packed with people and chairs. I could barely get dads wheelchair through. Our table was for 4 but they added dad at the end so we were crowded. I had to ask the waitress 3 times for additional butter. One member of our party asked for steak sause and was told they did not have any commercially made if they wanted the Jubans sause it was $5 extra. I think the waitress missed the fact the steak was too dry to eat. The jazz band was so loud we could barely talk when they were playing. Im pretty sure there are better restuarant choices in Baton Rouge

Terrible experience. Too many rooms open. The banquet room should only be used for banquets! No one wants to eat in that huge room. Service was terrible and slow. Will not go back

First time I had been to Jubans and it did not disappoint- the food and service and ambience were great. Will definitely being going back! We were fortunate to be seated in a large , neat room that had a really nice tv on the wall and we got to watch the LSU BAMA game.

Great ambiance, although it depends where they seat you. Like the library the most. Great service. Food delicious. I'm very happy they are back open in Baton Rouge.

They sat us adjacent to another couple when the room was entirely empty. It was quite awkward to be so close to another couple trying to have a conversation. My soup was warm at best and had to send it back to be reheated. The food tasted good with the exception of the lobster risotto. The lobster in the risotto tasted old and grainy. The service was great, no complaints there.

Redfish Adrian was delicious. Enjoyed dinner in the Tigre Room - a library/study decor. The barrel back chairs are very deep seated which could pose a problem for some. Our waiters were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Kudos to them.

Absolutely love the food and the service was phenomenal! It is EXTREMELY loud in the main bar dining area. Also the table was too small and wobbly the whole night. Felt like we got seated uncomfortably for no reason bc the other two dining rooms had plenty of open tables.

This is a great place to go for a special occasion. Went with my wife and daughter for my birthday. Definitely pricey but in my opinion everything was great quality. Awesome wine list (even by the glass) and multiple servers were attending. This was the first time we went post Pandemic and I was wondering if the food/service was still good - happy to report that it's just as good as it ever was in the past.

Impeccable service from Cam and Ronald. The food was unique and delicious. Loved the decor. We were traveling and this was our first time here. Will always make this a stop when in Baton Rouge.

Food and service was fabulous 10/10! However, the dining area seating is too close to other patrons. The tables are close together and there really is no privacy. You can hear other's conversations as if you are all sitting at the same tabl. If you are looking for an intimate, private dinner I suggest making that recommendation when scheduling your reservation.

Experience was great. My soup was a bit lukewarm. Gumbo was a bit salty. Otherwise, crawfish salad and beet salad (waitress recommended adding shrimp) was delicious!! Service was great. Bread was magnificent. Love the renovations.

Fabulous food, except the lobster risotto. Great service, wonderful atmosphere....thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience....highly recommended the fried softshell crab, steak or the pork chop. Highly recommend!

Service was horrible and food arrived cold. It was clear that the waitstaff forgot about us. Food did not arrive until we inquired about it and everyone's entree was cold. Steak was overcooked. Water and soft drinks were never refilled.

Fabulous night in the beautiful energetic ambiance of Juban's. The food was delicious, the menu was mouthwatering, and the service was above and beyond. This will be my go-to restaurant in Baton Rouge. Every bite was better than the next - sad we don't have a wonderful restaurant like this in Dallas.
