   First time at JT’s Seafood Shack and I was impressed. I had the Early Bird dinner of Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and it was delicious. Very large portion and they did not skimp on the shrimp at all. Also had the Raspberry Cheesecake cocktail and it was amazing! The rest of our table had the shrimp boil, the seafood bouillabaisse, and the jerk chicken and were all very happy with their meals. The service was top notch also!

   Ate here twice on a recent vacation. Love the place. Way laid back atmosphere, as it should be for a place called a 'shack'. Staff were very friendly. Food was very good.

   We found this place by driving by and the parking lot was packed. That means “We need to go there”. So we did. Our reservation was to eat inside (Oh no… it was SO noisy) so they seated us outside in the covered patio area which was much nicer. Very nice Hostess (young lady). It took a bit for a waitress to welcome us, she took our drink order, told us about the special. We then placed our order shortly after we got our drinks. Oh my… I ordered the Tilapia, Rice & Green Beans, my friend ordered the Fish Taco (blackened). My Tilapia meal was delicious!! Very nice flavoring. The blackened tilapia fish for the Tacos was a bit overpowering but eatable. Both dishes were a lot of food. We would go back.

   AWFUL! Do not waste your time or money here. I made a reservation for lunch on Mother's Day for 8 people, indoors on May 4th. We get there, it takes about 10 minutes to get ready to be seated, no problem. They took us to a table outside, and I informed the hostess that we booked for indoors. She tells me they cannot accommodate 8 people indoors, but that is not what my reservation says. I spoke to Faith (she said she was the Manager - must be family or friend as I cannot see a business hiring someone so unprofessional and incompetent). She says well for someone to schedule a reservation only a couple of hours earlier, it would take at least a day to organize seating indoors. Well obviously Faith is not great out checking information before opening her mouth. I proceeded to show my reservation confirmation from 10 days prior. No apology, no shame for lack of customer service, as if I offended them for pointing out their mistake. The hostess was also being nasty about their mistake, it felt like these were children behaving badly. At this point if it were only a few of us and not a holiday I would have left, but on Mother's Day for a large party it would have been difficult to find another restaurant and not wait for hours. So, we end up sitting outside in the heat. Our waiter Alex was ok, service was very slow and he did apologize for that. Upon ordering we were informed at 2pm on Mother's day they were out of oysters and gator tail and there was a page of drinks in their drink menu that they could not make. The food was expensive but the quality was low rate, basic at best. From start to finish JT's let me down and the two other families with me. When I later went inside to go to the restroom there were several tables empty. But after my experience I can see why the tables were empty.

We work very hard to make every experience great but sometimes circumstances do get in the way. As you probably know Mothers Day is the single busiest day of the year and features far more requests and special accommodations than any other day. We do explicitly state on all reservations that seating choices are requests, not guarantees for this reason. My people work extremely hard to accommodate every request but sometimes it is just impossible to satisfy everyone and still seat them in a reasonable timeframe and again I apologize for this. We did run out of oysters for a few hours that day, an unfortunate disadvantage of using fresh seafood is difficulty is balancing for unpredictable demand days and we did misjudge the oyster order for sunday. I hope you will give us another chance sometime soon, I would be happy to treat your entire party to help make up for the poor taste we left you with. Should you be interested in doing so merely let me know through a response here and I will oversee your reservation personally. Even if you arent interested in a return I would appreciate a reply so that I can follow up on your concerns better in house. Either way, Thank you for your coming out and for your time in composing your comments. We can best fix mistakes when we have good information to work with.

   Had been here many years earlier, really looked forward to trying it again. Very disappointed at the lack of hospitality: we had made a reservation for a "Open Air Covered seating, Table for 2," but upon arrival were told by the "hostess" that there were no tables of the type we had reserved AND were offereded no alternatives other than to be seated inside - no option of waiting 10-15 minutes for a table to clear, no "see what I can do" - nothing. And then to be seated, not only indoors, but right next to the front door! The food was excellent (as it should be for the price) , but we felt hurried by the server, as if they wanteds to turn the table over quickly - she was ready to give us our check without even mentioning dessert, even though we had seen it on the menu. When we ordered akey lime pie, it was delievered along with the check. As said eralier, the food was good, but no opne there made us feel welcome or valued. Questionable whether we'll go back.

Open Air Covered is our most popular request on good weather days and the hostesses knew that on Friday the 12th when you arrived it was sold out for the entire night so waiting wouldn't have been a likely solution. However, they should have politely explained that too you and informed you of the situation and options available. I am glad you enjoyed the food but again also sorry that you felt rushed, even on busy days we try not to push people along. One of the things JT's is known for is being a place to relax and kick back. We often have parties decamp to our band viewing area after their meal and stay for hours just enjoying the music and drinks.     Excellent food and wonderful service! Michelle was super accommodating and friendly. The portion for the gator bites was very small- enough for 2 people, not 4. Expected more for an $14 appetizer. Everything else was great! Food is delicious and our table was ready for us early after we made reservations on Open Table.

    Designed to be a "Shack" and very casual....sit back , relax and enjoy. Drinks were great and food even better! Our server was by far the best we've come across in the last 2 months of visiting the area. Michelle was personable, explained all menu questions, wasn't pushy and was a perfect server! Worth her weight in gold! If you get the chance....definitely try JTs!

    Great place for good service and food. Thursday night is all you can eat fried shrimp tonight, that was pretty awesome! My wife had the blackened flounder, which was also incredible too. Try the margaritas with the Grand Marnier floater, whoa!

    Ist visit to JT's, highly recommended by friends....fried shrimp was cooked just right, special JT sauce was delicious. Our waitress was very helpful explaining the menu and drinks, knew about the history of the restaurant as well. Sat on the back porch. We came to early for music, starts at 6pm.     Bob was an excellent server. The cocktails were tasty. Huge patio (more outside than inside seats.) The peel & eat shrimp and fish of the day was great. We sat near the live music which was fun but loud (if you prefer quiet head inside.) Good place to bring kids bc they run free outside.

    We were there for vacation and saw that JT’s wasted too far from where we were staying. We are SO glad we tried it! Cutest little shack, we LOVED the outdoor area. With 3 little kids, it’s sometimes hard to go anywhere for dinner, but the kids played in their outdoor area while we waited for food! Huge plus. Food: everything we had was fabulous. The crab cakes for a starter were great, even our 8 year old loved them. My husband got the crab boil and it was SO yummy, worth the money! I got the shrimp and grits and they were phenomenal. Cheesy, shrimp were cooked perfectly, I wish I could have ate the whole thing! OH, and can’t forget the margarita! Yum! Definitely a must try!

    First timers Sat on the screen patio. Wonderful server Tanesha? Saxophone player phenomenal. Food delicious. Highly recommend the A1A salad. Dressing was delicious. Had the shrimp grits (a little too spicy but very good) Sis had shrimp/scallops. Will be back!

    Although the wait staff were good, the food was less than ordinary and most of it came out of a box (ie frozen). Two of us had the catch of the day - mahi mahi - and it was tasty, but the other six dinners ranged from inedible to passable. What a shame that a seafood restaurant minutes away from the east coast beaches of Florida serves very little local fish😣
