The experience has definitely changed since we dined at J’s last year. It’s turned into a quick dining experience rather than a romantic date night restaurant, not bad but not the atmosphere we expected last night. Steak was cooked to our liking but was too thin and was room temperature when it arrived on our table which is too cold for me. Fries were AMAZING!!

Amazing experience! Service was quick but not rushed our server knew so much about the menu and that made me and my girlfriend felt so assured we made a good choice. I can’t remember her name but she was amazing, I had the Dubai chocolate cake and it was absolutely delicious. You’re going to be addicted to the fries as well. I would definitely come back, the manager was also very attentive and accommodating

J’s was incredible start to finish! All the staff were incredibly friendly, not pretencious at all and very knowledgeable. The steak was the BEST steak I’ve had in the city. I have been to almost every high end steak house in Toronto but this is by far the best value and highest quality. J’s is simple perfection! Will be back!

The food is top notch. Took my Mom for her birthday and she said it was the best steak she’s ever had. I’d have to agree. The restaurant itself and the ambience is nice, not too loud to have a conversation. The only thing that took away from the experience for me was the service. Our server was pleasant enough but pretty inattentive. She barely bothered to come back to check on us until the end of the meal but not because she was crazy busy, she stood talking to her coworkers for 10 minutes. Overall very good though, would certainly be back. Great date night spot.

Candied walnut salad was quite disappointing, dressing simple tasted like light olive oil and the bread was cold. However the steak was cooked to perfection and the butter sauce was quite tasty!
