We really enjoyed our time here. Great food and service!
Great gluten free pasta options!
The overall ambiance was unique and definitely worth visiting. Cannot give enough stars for the service. Jenna was fantastic and made our birthday dinner extra special.
The service and food was so great!! Truly an exceptional experience for our group.
AMAZING! Food, service & ambiance is top notch!
Delicious food, personable wait staff, and great drink menu paired with trendy lower level ambience. What more could you ask for?
We had an early dinner before a show at the Pepsi Center and everything was great! Staff was attentive and food was delicious. The carrots were outstanding! Will definitely be back!
The food was so great and the service was super also! They make it all from scratch and you can tell!
As always, good wine, good food. Love sitting downstairs. Miriah was very helpful.
Amazing food and ambiance! The drinks were also delicious.
The wine menu has a variety of wines from all over the world. The food was delicious and creative. Of course the dessert was to die for. The ambiance was great for a birthday but could also be great for a group gathering.
This was one of the best overall meals I've had, and the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. Service was great, good bar. The only negative was the Nutella lady fingers had been in the refrigerator either uncovered or too long and picked up other food flavors. I'll definitely return.
We found this place confusing. When making a reservation, a credit card deposit is required. However, I couldn’t find any cancellation policy on Open Table nor the restaurant’s website. I’m not in the habit of canceling but I couldn’t even figure out what I agreed to. Apple Pay only said “amount pending”. While dining, I inquired about it and was totally satisfied with the policy, but why the mystery?
Moving on, we honestly found the food lackluster. Not inexpensive and not great. The Caprese had bland mushy tomatoes with oddly liquidy cheese, and $38 halibut should be cooked properly, not dry and sour from citrus. Without asking, the manager removed the appetizer from our check when he noticed we didn’t eat much of it. Well done and much appreciated.
Anyway the atmosphere was lovely. Historic, well designed and comfortable. The drinks were excellent. We spoke to several staff members who were all quite friendly - with the exception of our server. He acted bored and put out by us. On several occasions I politely tried to get his attention to order another drink, gained eye contact and a nod, but he never returned to our table. We would have easily had 1 or 2 more rounds if given the opportunity, but I won’t fight to give you money.
Truly we wanted to love the place. We did love the atmosphere and 98% of the staff we encountered. But the vague cancellation policy, substandard food and disinterested server just weren’t good enough. In all likelihood we won’t return.
Delicious food with a super cozy ambiance! Would recommend it strongly!
Courtney gave great service. Ambiance was awesome! I thought the food was tasty and loved the variety. Carbonara salty and under cooked noddle but still good. Would love to see more share plates/starters/veg. Would def like to come back and want to support! Keep up the great work.
I took my parents for dinner last night and it was simply fantastic. The service is top notch and my mom couldn't stop raving about her bucatini.
This is our 2nd visit back and it will not be the last!
Our experience at Jovanina’s was amazing! Great wine, service and food! The bread was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. Would 100% recommend.
The service was very attentive and the food was incredible. Will definitely be adding this to our rotation of favorite date night spots.
We just loved it!! Great food, great drinks, great service and great ambiance! Highly recommend!
Great new spot in Denver. The styling is one of the best in all of Denver, and you’ll feel transported.
The short rib and chicken parm were fantastic, but the tiramisu left a lot to be desired. It tasted like a cheap store bought option. Highly recommend the barrel aged old fashion as well
Sit upstairs vs downstairs, unless you like the Adam’s Family.
Great experience. We had a lovely evening chatting over great food. The drinks were amazing, my partner had the Rob Roy and I had the Old Fashion. Highly recommend finishing the dinner with an espresso.
Absolutely delicious homemade pasta! Vegetarian and meat options. Amazing cocktail list. Comfy and classy atmosphere. Attentive service and overall great experience! So glad we found this little gem!
Amazing food and perfect for groups to do family style with different pastas!
Extremely well run restaurant and excellent food. Best Italian in Denver
Best Italian Restaurant in CO, the ambiance was amazing.
We dined there for our anniversary. Once the basement filled with customers, it was so loud and dark that we couldn’t hear each other or our server. I think if we had sat upstairs it would have been a little less chaotically loud. The food was different. The service was very good.
Excellent food, great service, very romantic atmosphere.
Second time visiting - excellent! Obviously my first visit wasn't a fluke
Our family had a nice send off for our college student -- everything was perfect; the food, service and ambience. Had never been and now can't wait to go back!
We picked Jovanina’s as our pre-Comedy Works dinner restaurant and couldn’t have been happier. The food was outstanding and the staff friendly and professional. We will definitely be back.
We sat downstairs, it was SO cool. The upstairs is more hip with music and modern, the downstairs looks like you entered the 1920’s or something. Dark, quiet, candles everywhere. It was amazing. The pasta was the best I’ve ever had.
Lovely evening and the food was just… wow. Wednesday they have really good wine deals!
This place was fantastic! Great food, great service, great vibe! Definitely will be going again!
Wednesday’s $1 oysters are the bomb!
1st time trying this place and I will definitely make it a regular spot. Loved the downstairs dining space and the food and drinks were really great. Fresh made pasta and awesome service as well. Great for groups and special occasions
Love this place. Food is absolutely fantastic, servers are all incredibly knowledgeable. It's a little bit more of a treat for most people budget-wise, but if you want homemade pasta go here!
Salty bad Italian food.
I really have no thoughts to share other than this was a complete and enjoyable experience for us and I cannot recommend this relatively quaint dining experience any more highly.
we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at jovaninas
