JOTORO
Whether it's date night, late night, or your next event, JOTORO is your perfect place. We like to say JOTORO is where mariachi meets old school hip hop. Our bar serves up hand-shaken cocktails, craft-batched margaritas, and over 50 labels of premium tequilas.
JOTORO is a full-service, 220-seat eatery that feels like a neighborhood taco joint featuring a comfortable and rustic feel with one of a kind eclectic art designed exclusively for the space. We have created two outdoor covered patios that flank the prime corner of Sparkman Wharf, which is the perfect spot for people watching and dramatic views of the skyline at night.

The service and ambiance were perfection. The tacos aren’t my favorite but still worth trying.
Our waitress with a blonde hair was in a big hurry to take our orders. Very disrespectful because it made us feel like we’re holding her hostage. When we were about to finish the order, she walked away from us and I had to say “ excuse me “ and came back with a straight face . You can tell through the mask she wasn’t enjoying her time.
The food that came to us was over cooked. Both the chicken and steak’s edges were black crisped which is terribly noticeable.
She gave us attitude when we ask her why was it black. Quote: “ this is how we cook it “
I would love to leave the name but she never gave us her name. Blonde hair, I think she was wearing a white mask.
Very disrespectful waitress.
Amazing service and food! Erica was the best server we could ask for.
Very great service, drinks were on point and server was attentive. I enjoyed the food that we did order.
Had a wonderful brunch experience this past weekend at Jotoro. Was able to book with no issue through Open Table. The food, service and overall ambiance was perfect. My friends and I can’t wait to book a reservation and dine here again.
Jumping space in the channel side area. Bright and colorful, we had a great dinner on the patio. Apps were better for us than entrees.
Nice time, good food!
Jotoro was a really nice restaurant. I think I just ordered the wrong thing. I got the East LA Steak burrito- it was dry and the meat was heavily flavored with cinnamon. Service was good and my friend enjoyed her food, she got the Austin style tacos.
Reservations meant nothing. Why even bother. Food was just okay. They are trying to “upscale” their “Mexican” food by making it a hybrid with Korean.
It does not work.
The food and drinks were all delicious but it's a little overpriced
Great service and the food was delicious. The spicy mango margaritas were on point. Best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the street corn off the cob and the ahi tuna. You will not be disappointed
Drinks, guacamole, and our server were all great. The tacos were very disappointing. I'll be back for drinks
We enjoyed the food a lot and the ability to eat outside
Great spot and good food :)
Great atmosphere, terrific service. Loved the cocktails
Cocktails: Pretty Boy & Superlight
Appetizer: Tres Amigos
Entree: Enchilada Suizas & Tex Burrito
Everything was outstanding!! We will definitely be back.
New brunch was delicious. Service was great! Thank you!
Service is wonderful but food was mediocre and overpriced. And holy god are the floors slippery! I’m not one to complain and wouldn’t be too hurt falling but it may be a big liability down the road!
Good- but too expensive for what it is.
Fabulous food!!! The flour tacos were outstanding - chips were thin and crispy and the guac was excellent! We sat outside with the dog so the noise rating reflects that. Service was excellent - she even brought water and treats for the dog!
The restaurant decor is beautiful. The margaritas were delicious. The food was o
Margaritas were good. Food not so great. Korean bbq was dry. The salsa, guac and cheese app was just okay. Chips were good.
Dinner was warm/cold when got to table. Our reservation was not a reservation but "priority seating" so we still waited 30-40 minutes for table with " reservation. Drinks and apps were good.
Awesome spot, a little pricey but food, drinks and especially the staff were great!
Our waitress Emily was great. The food was okay but the drinks were amazing!!
Our server was AMAZING! BBQ nachos were our favorite.
We were there for my husband’s parent’s anniversary and everyone treated them like royalty. We are very grateful.
Food was pricey and not impressive. Service wasn’t great. Missed the mark with ambiance big time. Playing classic rock music for some godly reason. the feel of the room gave off a big Applebee’s / Chili’s type of vibe. Really wish this was executed better as the area needed this.
Heard good things about it & definitely wasn’t disappointed. Good service, great patio area (bonus points bc they allow dogs), and really awesome food & drinks!!
Won’t be coming back after our experience. My food was cold when delivered, then a new plate was brought out and was only lukewarm. They weren’t that busy, probably 2/3 capacity, they were just understaffed. Then instead of comping my main, the manager only took off 50% and gave us a free desert coupon “for next time”, HOW CHEAP! Too many other good restaurants in Tampa, there won’t be a “next time.”
Wonderful flavors in all the food we had: tacos, burritos, black beans (amazing) and yellow rice ( so flavorful)
We are outside so noise was not an issue. We will be back
When you make a reservation - its just to get a place in line when you arrive. Not exactly a reservation and that was not clear. Waited 30 minutes staring at open tables for half that time. They gave us a free app for waiting. Drinks were great. Ambiance is great. But food was cold... and corn on the cob was not juicy, hard to explain but thin... they took it off our bill. Tacos weren’t the same size with proteins not consistent amount. Feedback for manager...I normally don’t write a review but we were really disappointed.
Alyssa was a wonderful server!! She was pleasant and upbeat ..
Visiting a Michelin Star Chef rest
Very fun atmosphere. We sat outside and got to people watch the people going into Sparkman wharf. Food was ok but drinks were delicious!
Had a reservation, but didn’t get seated for half an hour. Chips and queso were fine. Guacamole not so much. Red sauce on my enchiladas tasted as if it came straight out of a can. My friend’s burrito was burnt on top. Good prickly pear margaritas and good tacos, if you omit cabbage!
Food quality and presentation was excellent. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.
Great restaurant and ambience! Food was great and the drinks were amazing!
This was one of our best Friday night date experiences. Brenda and I were greeted by a great host and the manager. The food was simply amazing, we are coming back for sure. Had the opportunity to meet the chef. Who took time out to introduce himself to us. We saw Charley Belcher’s morning spot light on Jotoro. Look, things look good on tv, let us tell you the food is a culinary ensemble of magnificent tastes that orchestrates both visual satisfaction and a steadfast confirmation you picked the right dining experience. We have a new favorite in Tampa, it’s Jotoros!!! Thank you for an amazing date night.
Great location. Lots of outdoor seating. Food was very good. Chips and Salsa are not free. Excellent service.
