Venue was superb and service was good. I was disappointed with the food. The menu selection was good but for the price I would have expected the food to taste better and be better cooked.

Beautiful location to have a high tea experience and then be able to walk and relax around the mansion gardens is a real treat. The food was excellent, very rich and very filling. the staff were very attentive and the service that they provided was top class.

We booked the afternoon tea at Joseph's as a Mother's Day present for our mums. This is the first time we've done the afternoon tea, so we weren't sure what to expect. There wasn't anyone to greet us at the front when we got there and waited for a bit. We were finally seated, and it was a nice table with traditional teacups. The waiting staff were polite and friendly enough. The food finally came, starting with the cold stuff. The sandwiches were delicious. We were then asked if we wanted some tea, they had 3 options we could choose from. Then came the hot food, there were hits and misses. The scones were hard and the duck arancini were burnt on the bottom. The mushroom pies and sausage rolls were quite delicious. The sweets were also average.

Lovely setting with views overlooking the gardens. Food was lovely with an abundance of prosecco, tea offered numerous times and staff very attentive. A little confused as the hot food came after the cold food, but it was all very tasty. I would recommend a visit.

My mum and I really enjoyed our High Tea. The service was very good with timely top ups of prosecco and cups of tea. The food was tasty and plenty for a High Tea. The tables were set nicely too and we had a window table, so enjoyed views of the grounds. The only hiccup and small disappointment was that the restaurant is not truly wheelchair accessible - there are 4 steps up into the restaurant. When we arrived we were told that they could get a ramp from the hotel if required. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the foyer level though. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Great service from all staff at the restaurant. I highly recommend the high tea for any special occasion, or just for something to do over the weekend. It is a great value for the amount of food and drinks that you get also.

I have been to Joseph’s restaurant few years before and it used to be a fine dining atmosphere because the menu is a fine dining menu. But now it has lost its charm. It looks dull and unattractive. The carpets were not clean. The hostesses were great though very friendly and kind. The ambience was quite boring. It lacks the buzz it used to have. The food was quite ok. Hope the management invests in reviving that vibe.

We had mentioned in our booking that we had a wheelchair and they had prepared for us, setting up a ramp etc. The food was amazing, as was the service. The kitchen ran so smoothly despite how busy it got. If I could give ten stars, I would.
