Nice atmosphere. Good service. Food excellent. Small menu but something for all.
I thought it was very pricey for the quality of the food. On spite of the restaurant being nearly empty, we sat for sometime before someone came over with water .
The lobster was raw in spots .
Our waitress was very attentive and the Restuarant is pretty, but it's an expensive place for mediocre food
The service was very good but a little sloppy (asking for water etc..). The food was very good
Went to brunch for my birthday and it was wonderful. Had the bottomless mimosa bar and a smoked salmon Benedict which was delicious. Would recommend!
We played golf at the course and were looking forward to a casual dinner. The service was very slow, the food mediocre at best, and it was expensive. They would probably do well with a light/after golf sandwich menu.
Bad experience. Went for Sunday Brunch before taking a Winery Tour. The place was empty and service was still very slow. They were out of many regular breakfast items (half and half, whole wheat bread to name a couple). The omelettes were tasty but small and I have never been served only one slice of toast with my breakfast anywhere else. We thought we would try it. Won't go again.
Wonderful for a weekend romantic getaway with beautiful scenery and great food and drinks
We ordered the filet with garlic mashed potatoes and the meat was cooked perfect. It was my birthday and they made me feel really special. They wished me a happy birthday upon arrival. There blueberry champagne is fabulous too.
Great every time
We enjoyed the evening. Meals were good but my main course should have arrived hot, was just warm. Service was very attentive.
Grilled chicken sandwich was good. Nice aoli spread, but lettuce a bit wilted. Cesar salad was also good. Have to say rhe French fries were incredible. Reataurant was a bit too quiet.
Great atmosphere, substandard meal quality.
This restaurant needs to invest in a highly experienced outstanding chef.
Joseph's was a gem! The Bloody Mary ranked with the best. The waiter was cordial and the food was delicious. Although I am not gluten-free, everything I had, including the flourless chocolate cake for dessert was gluten-free, but was not advertised as such. A+
A very pretty restaurant with excellent and and friendly service. I have had dinner several times
and have always enjoyed . It is a excellent restaurant for holiday gatherings for friends and family. A very relaxing atomsphere
The food was not as good as it usually is.
Mom’s Birthday. So good.
The food was delicious and an outstanding value for Atlantic City Restaurant Week. Our waitress asked what we would like to drink and I asked for a glass of Chablis. She said she didn't know what that was. I told her it was wine. The bartender yelled from the bar that they didn't carry any. For Renault being a winery, and not stock Chablis, I found that a little odd.
Wonderful food. Lovely location. Very fun time. We were there for a birthday, and they let us hang out for a good, long while. It is one of the birthday girl's favorite places to dine.
Having Celiac and going out to eat is difficult. I'm considering this place celiac-safe and keeping it in mind for lunch dates. I got a caprese salad, cheeseburger (no bun) & sub mashed potatoes instead of fries (cross-contamination). Potatoes were AWESOME, burger even better! A+
Restaurant week menu was varied but not outstanding. The service was excellent. The lunch was tasty.
Dined at Joseph's several times - always enjoyable.
Amazing food beautiful place
This was an overall good experience. We felt very welcomed and treated very well by Staff.
We had dinner which was good however we really liked the Brunch on Sunday. Waiter, Josh, was excellent. We would return in the future for the the overall venue of the area.
We were at Joseph's for breakfast lunch and dinner. Each meal was very good. The service was excellent. The servers, bar tenders and hosts were great! We had a fixed priced menu that was a great value.
food was good, restaurant was busy, they seemed understaffed. I saw servers and hostesses busing and setting up tables. Had to wait to get drinks once seated.
Sunday brunch was wonderful. The food was delicious. T was an attentive server and very personable. Service was slower than I was expecting, had to wait 5 minutes to be seated.
Very disappointed! the menu has changed and the prices are outrageous. Everything is a la cart.
New Years eve
This was our annual New Year's Eve dinner with our daughter/son-in-law for the past four years we have been coming to Joseph's. We had a very enjoyable night, good food and good service. Everyone very pleasant.
Loved the salmon picante with spinach and capers. Presentation is always superb. We love Joseph's for special occasions.
Our waiter Cesar was the worst waiter I have ever encountered , in fact I thought he was a bus staff, his service was Very Poor . We had a 4:30 reservation and due to poor service we were the last patrons to leave for the evening. We had to ask for everything. It should not take 1/2 hour to get drinks to a table . 2 in the party had asked for salads the other 2 requested soup. He brought out the salad but we waited 20 minutes and still no soup, I had then asked the manager to have him bring our soup, he brought 1 bowl instead of 2 bowls. I ordered veal marsala which I had never seen plated whole before , and then needed to ask for a steak knife to cut the piece of veal because the bread knife wouldn't cut through the meat. we had to request a bread basket which should have been brought out with the salad and soup. we had to ask for refills of water and tea. In all not a pleasant experience. Next time I will frequent the restaurant at the winery, because I have never had a bad experience there . A Thanksgiving Meal which should have been a pleasant event turned out to be an embarrassment to me , as I was entertaining my daughters family.
I had dinner with my family here for Thanksgiving. It was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. I had to ask for a server 20 minutes after being seated. The hostess was very nice she got us started with drinks while we waited another 15 minutes until a server came. We were all really looking forward to a nice dinner. The food was ok but the service was inexcusable. I am a server and I've never seen any operation like this.
This was our first family Thanksgiving at a restaurant in many years and we're glad we chose Joseph's!
The three course Turkey Dinner was beyond our expectations, being delicious, nicely served and a great value!
The ambiance was really nice and much more than anyone would expect for having a comfortable ,casual style dinner out, without over-paying .
The wine menu is great and we do recommend trying a bottle of the Cupcake California wine with your meal.
We chose the Cabernet Red and it was both fruity and a little dry with a mysteriously delicious taste.
All in all,it was a nice experience and we'll soon be visiting Joseph's again...try it,you'll love it!
I have been here for a girlfriends lunch a few times. No one had any complaints. Everything was very tasty. When Thanksgiving came along and I had to keep my husband close to home, I thought about Joseph's. many people had the traditional turkey dinner. I heard many say how pleased they were. We chose to be rebels and order crab stuffed lobster tail, instead. The lobster was cooked perfectly. Not chewy at all. The crabmeat was very good. Happy with beverages, side dishes and dessert. My husband had soup which he loved. Very happy with our dinner. We will return
Joseph is a beautiful venue and I cannot say enough about the exceptional hospitality of our waiter Cesare. I had the rack of lamb which was spectacular and perfectly prepared. My husband had a steak and raved about it. Salad and desserts were delicious also. I highly recommend this restaurant!
If you are looking for a nice way to spend a Saturday or a Sunday, I highly recommend coming to the winery for a tour and tasting as that was fabulous in itself and then walking next door to Joseph's Restaurant and enjoying a delicious meal with some of the wine you just sampled. So pleased with our meals and the service!! We stayed at the hotel as well and that was a nice treat too!!
We arrived from NY to celebrate our wedding anniversary, staying overnight at The Tuscany Hotel. The restaurant itself was very spacious. Joseph's wait staff was very courteous and professional, however the food was average to fair but was enough to satisfy us after a long drive in. I don't plan to return.
My husband and I went to the Renault Winery and afterwards went to Joseph's Restaurant. This was our first time here and I have to say the restaurant had a lot of character! We started at the bar, bar staff were friendly and our drinks were good! I had a pumpkin martini that was excellent! Our dinner server was very good and efficient and answered my questions. Our dinners were good and our desserts were very good. Prices were reasonable and we had a nice evening. We would go back again!
My dining experience at Joseph's Restaurant was excellent. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable and the cost was reasonable. We enjoyed a window seat which gave a beautiful picture of the golfing that was in progress. From the restaurant we went to the Winery and engaged in a tour and wine tasting. The tour was very informative .Our guide was extremely knowledgeable in his presentation of the winery and in our wine tasting. This place is truly a South Jersey gem!
We have been to Joseph's on several occasions and this visit was most enjoyable. Perhaps it was because of the new ownership? From the start of the evening, it was pleasant. Jeanette at the front desk was most accommodating. The Hostess, sorry didn't get her name, had great people skills, Fonzie was an all-around gem, and Anthony our server, was right up there with the rest of the employees. The food was very good, except the salmon was TOO salty. It had a crust on both sides with too much salt and pepper. Presentation of everything was outstanding
and the olive oil dip was exceptional. Very good quality oil, tasty bread. It was nice to leave a restaurant on a "up" note. The last time we were there, approximately a year ago, everything bombed. So I would say your management is right on top of things. Don't allow this lovely, historical gem to close. Good luck with turning Renault around.
