Duck Fat Fries
Joseph's continues to be one of the best in SF, if not the best in our opinion! We dined there Mother's Day weekend and they were perfect, amazed us especially considering the busy weekend and Covid restrictions. Any dish with duck or lamb is superb, however, next visit we will go totally veg...options for that looks outstanding. After this last year (+), we appreciate the opportunity to dine at quality restaurants more than ever.
Great food and wine wonderful staff. Highly recommend. Great ambiance.
Don't miss out on this place! The food is amazing, the space is charming, and the service is outstanding.
The food was amazing and our server was knowledgeable of the menu and overall we had a great time.
One of our favorite places to spend an evening with friends. The lamb burger is the best!
Another great culinary experience at Joseph’s! Always amazing food, service and ambiance. Great wine and beer list but none of us were drinking and just wish they had some non-sweet alternatives for non-alcoholic beverages other than water. Other than that one small thing, a perfect experience. Thanks!
Overall the food was tasty . Nevertheless the tamale that cost $10 and 1" x 6" was dry. The Duck Pad Thai had so much duck we had to take most of it out otherwise it overwhelmed the Pad Thai flavor. Some pieces were moist some were very dry. The star was the Carrot Curry Soup.
Great food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere on the portal. We look forward to our next visit.
The service and ambience was excellent, as usual. The foot was disappointing. I had the rabbit lasagna and it was pretty tasteless. My girlfriend had the chicken breast and it was not crispy, it was dry. The waitress did remove my girlfriend's dish from the check. It may have just been a bad night.
Service was incredible without being pretentious. Food was amazing. Will absolutely be visiting again.
Great as always, but I was really excited to see they have sake on the menu. Not just any old sake but great ones. Thanks for adding them to the menu
This place is one of those where I wished I had a week or two to try everything on the menu — seriously. We had amazing food in a very cozy atmosphere with friendly and efficient service. The lamb curry was spectacular as was the butter lettuce salad. Crispy chicken enchilada, we were told, was quick fried in duck fat — what? It was so delicious. Who doesn’t love duck fat?
Can’t wait to return...one of the best meals we have enjoyed!
Food and service were both terrific. My spouse had the Corvina fish special and I had the Steak au Poivre. Both were cooked just right, presently nicely, and tasted delicious. Gabe, our server, did a wonderful job of taking care of us.
We had the duck pad thai and the rabbit lasagna; both were fantastic. We will definitely return the next time we visit Santa Fe!
I had the bison bone marrow and the mussels with duck fat fries. Delicious rosé cava to start and a Gavi white with dinner. Everything was fabulous, and our waitress was wonderful. Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Never disappoints.
We enjoyed everything from the moment we sat down at our table. The food and flavors were excellent, the ambiance was pleasant and alluring and our whole meal from apps to tea was fantastic.
Food and service were amazing! Highly recommend. We started with the chicken liver moose and polenta fries. Polenta fries with the Gorgonzola sauce were absolutely stunning. Grouper fish of the day and beef au poivre both excellent. Finished with the cloud cake and a scoop of duck fat ice cream. Absolutely outstanding finish. Coming from two chocoholics, that’s saying a lot. The duck fat ice cream tasted like caramel and added an extra richness to the fluffy and light cloud cake. We loved all the creative flavors of all the dishes. Will be sure to visit again next time we visit Santa Fe from Boston!
Great dinner. First time eating out since pandemic began
We always have a good time at Josephs. Small, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and an eclectic menu, coupled with a nice bottle of wine, always offers a pleasant evening.
My wife and I just spent four days in Santa Fe and we met our goal of eating at four of Santa Fe's best restaurants, hoping to pick a favorite. We had some great meals, but couldn't settle on a favorite. We found that each restaurant had courses that stood out that made them special. At Joseph's, my wife started with the Chicken Liver Mousse and thought it was excellent. For her main, she ordered the Chicken, which was fine but not special. I started with the Polenta Fries, but the law of diminishing returns set in after eating the first two - this dish is too much of a good thing. For my main, I had the Grouper Special and it was very good, flaky and with good sides. Our wine was the Tablas Creek Vermantino, which was pretty good. For desert we split the Cloud Cake and would order it again. All-in-all, it was a good meal and decidedly less expensive than the other three restaurants in the competition.
Excellent food and service. One drawback= no hard alcohol; just wine and beer. Much better food than a "pub" would offer.
Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. The Chef is so creative in the way he combines ingredients. A big plus for us was the fresh oysters from California.
Have been here twice and had a fabulous experience both times. Food is different and excellent. Wine quite good and reasonable. Will go again when traveling through from Denver
Love love love Joseph’s. Never have had a a more than excellent meal. The chef is a gem & there is always a good wine list.
Marvelous from start to finish! Cozy atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, excellent wine list. Oh, and the food was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend Joseph’s. Don’t let the “pub” in the name fool you. This is a relaxed atmosphere and the food stands up to anyone’s standards.
Food and service excellent. We did not feel rushed.
Very able gastro pub. At the top end of Santa Fe options.
Incredible food and service. Small and intimate. Great wine list.
The food is so gratifying. One of the best dining experiences in Santa Fe.
Will they be getting a liquor license?
Exceptional service and food!
Excellent food - especially the Thai Lamb Pad Tai!!!
Good wine selection.
Don't miss this one!!!
Maybe it was because it was our first night in the beautiful city of Santa Fe, or maybe because it was also my birthday, but this meal was a very memorable experience. Before I left my East Coast home for this vacation, I did some research looking for the perfect restaurant for this evening. I can't really say why I settled on Joseph's, based on an internet search, but I'm glad I did. The food was outstanding, and we had the most welcoming server, Michele. Jospeh's was our introduction to a city we'd never been to before, and what a great first impression!
A wonderful and intimate dining experience. Food was very creative and delicious. Our server, Michele B, took excellent care of us and was an absolute delight. Will definitely return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There were 4 of us, all with different selections and everyone was very happy with their meal. OMG, the hot chocolate cake with chantilly cream was to die for. 2 of us shared one but it was really big enough for all 4 of us.
Joseph’s is always great. Food is fabulous.
Joseph’s is always one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. Wonderful food, wine and service
Great dining experience! We enjoyed the carrot soup, amazing home made rolls, trout salad, crispy chicken, wine offerings and excellent table service. Would recommend and look forward to eating here again.
Let's see: three beers, one (shared) salad, and two vegetarian enchiladas equals $110 (including tip). We enjoyed our previous visit, but this place is overrated and overpriced. The enchiladas were dull, almost tasteless.
