The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    Josephine's is one of my top 2 choices for fine dinning in Lancaster. Food is excellent, service is great, Hunter is a 5 star server! Noise level is very good, overall experience was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

    Very nice place beautiful inside friendly and knowledgeable. Staff food and drinks came out in a timely manner took my wife for her birthday when I made reservations I let them know of her birthday and as soon as we open up the menu, it said happy birthday to her. She was so excited

    Wonderful dining experience with my daughter this evening to celebrate her graduation! The interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning! The service was prompt, friendly, and personal! The server had an impressive memory and was also able to make great recommendations! The courses were delicious to the eyes and pallet! Quite a gem in Lancaster city! Do visit! You won't be disappointed! Will be back!

    Outstanding food and service!!! The drinks, apps, entrees and dessert exceeded our expectations as did the exceptional service provided by Brandon. Having several gluten-free options to choose from was a real treat and the GF crab cakes were delicious. The only thing that was a tiny disappointment was that you have trouble hearing your own conversations based on the close proximity to the other tables. But, still so worth going. Definitely a winner!!!!

    What an amazing experience celebrating my son's engagement! Perfect atmosphere for such a celebration. Food was exquisite! Worth the splurge. Highly recommended.

    My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary at Josephine’s, Downtown Lancaster. We were seated in a quiet spot, as requested and our menu wished us a happy anniversary; so nice. The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional. I had the crab cake and my husband had the halibut. We will definitely be going back. Hats off to the chefs and staff.

    We've never had a bad meal or a bad experience at Josephine's. I would literally enjoy everything on the menu. The service is always excellent. There's a very nice wine list. The cocktails are always innovative and well made. I literally have no criticisms. It is our favorite fine dining restaurant in the area.
