The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    We had a lovely evening. Everyone was happy with their meal. We go to one of the associated restaurants regularly, for my birthday we decided to come here instead. I was able to have dessert! I never get dessert because everything has dairy in it. I told them when making the reservation that I was hoping for dessert. They planned ahead made me one! We will definitely be back.

    When visiting the Lancaster area, there are a few restaurants we frequent. Josephine's is right at the top of the list. We love the ambience for starters. It is a beautiful space in which to dine and it sets the mark for what comes from the kitchen. Our meal consisted of a Caesar Salad, New Brunswick Oysters on the half shell, an appetizer antelope loin chop, Salmon Oscar and Barramundi. Chocolate Decadence and House Cheesecake for dessert, EVERYTHING was superbly prepared. Even the cocktails were memorable. I had the Sean Connery and my wife had the Marilyn Monroe. Maybe one of these days, when visiting, we check out Happy Hour at the bar. This past evening it was out birthday celebration and there was a lovely welcome card on the table with our names on it. They do it right at Josephine's

    My partner and I went for our anniversary, and if we still live in the area in the coming years we will continue to do so every year. The Salmon Oscar was amazing and the cheesecake was lovely. Pricy, but the service and food are well worth it! It was a night to remember.

    Exceptional service from Brandon and the food was delicious! Place has a wonderful ambiance my only issue was the noise level became too loud once the dining area filled up. At a classy place like this, I would hope for a quieter surrounding.

    Josephine’s is consistently excellent in every way. It’s our favorite place for sharing great food and interesting menu presentations with friends. We absolutely love the piano bar atmosphere and the service never disappoints. It’s our favorite Lancaster restaurant.
