A fabulous Sunday brunch...all our entrees were superb...mussels, croque madame and the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The service was great and super friendly.

My favorite restaurant in Alexandria, by far! The “trendy” restaurants in Old Town like King & Rye and Virtue Grain & Feed, don’t even come close in comparison to Josephine. The food is excellent. You can’t miss the French onion soup. The drinks are delicious. I recommend the French 75. The service is outstanding. Our waiter from our most recent visit, Martin, had such a pleasant and professional demeanor. He was perfectly attentive. We will be returning again and again.

My husband called it “world class dining”. Suggestion lower the lighting in the one room and the AC in the lower room. We couldn’t do either of those rooms : Too bright or too cold. Middle floor worked.

get the Trout! also the midday menu is a great way to have a refreshing drink and nibble at the bar. Beautiful interior as well.

Our server was good but it always took him a little longer with follow through than I expected. It could have been because we had a special dietary restriction (which he immediately asked about when he arrived at our table) and it took him awhile to get information from the chef. Otherwise, the experience was nice.

There were several birthdays this past weekend. The staff was attentive to each one that I saw, including my own table. The food and drink were both well presented and delicious. My entire party loved the whole dining experience. I love that Josephine’s has consistently been an excellent experience each and every time I have dined there. This past reservation was no exception.
