Waitstaff-amazing. Facility-beautiful. Time for delivery lunch, and only 10 customers, was horribly long. The back of house has to pick up its game. Front of house rocked.
Great Brunch menu with lots of options that aren’t solely egg dishes.
Very hip atmosphere w somewhat annoying soundtrack at times. Food was nicely done overall. My pork osso buco was tasty and moist. Pasta course was perfectly done. Wine list was OK. Our party enjoyed ourselves. Sort of a middle of the road place, but good for the price.
I live in NOLa and have many options of where to dine. JE has become a relaxing,
Enjoyable get-away after a long day or week.
The staff knows me by name and knows my preferences, ie no salt, bottled water, Boyd & Blair Gimlet, black napkin if needed, Efficient service if before a show at the Saenger...
The food is another raving opportunity. If you want to actually ‘taste’ the individual Ingredients every dish is perfectly prepared!
Can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding service and excellent food. Every dish was a taste sensation. We were wowed from the start of the charcuterie platter through the salads, pastas and all the way to the affogato!
This was a wonderful restaurant except for one thing- the music from the bar was SO intrusive.Ms. DJ needs to take it down several notches. What would have been a great evening was marred by the fact that we could not have a conversation. Unfortunate.
I took local clients to a business dinner. They had never been to Josephine Estelle, some were skeptical and others looking forward to trying something new. Everyone left happy, and I suspect they will come back! I certainly will when I am in town! Service was impeccable! We tried many dishes and every bite was fantastic! Thank you for a successful evening.
Adams service was great. Food fantastic.
Delicious! My favorite dish there was the agnolotti with green garlic, ricotta, and black truffle. The design was beautiful, a nice mix of modern and antique furniture. I loved everything there, but the orecchiette could use some work. It was kind of dry overall, and why was the pasta green? I still had a wonderful time though.
It was an exceptional experience. Thank you for making my birthday more fun and special.
Decent restaurant but way overpriced. Chef also got a bit overzealous with the rosemary in Maw Maw’s gravy. Couldn’t eat my $26 bowl of pasta with meat sauce.
Took my partner there to celebrate her 30th. Delicious. Amazing service. Thoughtful and delicious all in one. We will definitely be returning!
Went here with coworkers for a quiet evening. It was easy to have a conversation, and the waiters were diligent without being intrusive. Really good food at a fair value point. With meal, drink, dessert and tip it came out under $50 per seat.
Visiting from out of town!
Had a great time. Food was delicious. Waitress was very knowledgable about the menu and food
Pastry board is awesome and so was the breakfast sandwich and chicken biscuit.
Wait staff was outstanding the menu is limited but very good
Subtle dishes of the right (small) size. Spot on wine advice from manager/sommelier. Dining room where for once it is not freezing. Adequate service by non conventional staff. Good atmosphere. Pimped roof top bar had bad service (but seems unrelated to resto).
From the moment we step into the door, we knew this was a special place. The sky high ceilings and Art Deco interior created a space what was welcoming and inviting. We were immediately seated - ours was the first table for dinner since this was a pre-theater dinner for us - and greeted by our server Jaime. After chatting with Jaime a bit about the menu, we decided to share a few small plates (all recommendations from Jaime) and two pasta dishes. EVERYTHING was amazing! The bruschetta with nettles and burrata was my personal favorite. The grilled oysters were divine. We all enjoyed the tempura asparagus too. For pasta we had agnolotti with black truffles and orecchiette with crawfish. OMG! This meal was so delicious that I made a reservation to bring my husband next month when we are in New Orleans for The Rolling Stones concert. I am told the summer menu will have made its debut by then!
Loved our meal here! Every bite was delicious, appetizers through dessert.
Will have the scallops again. My date’s bucatini was delicious. We also ordered the duck which was cooked perfectly.
The service was terrible. Server was aloof. The rest of the staff were actually quite unfriendly toward families. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the experience is gone dramatically downhill.
Our server was adorable - and answered all questions easily. We had theater tickets & they got us out in plenty of time. Definitely a repeater!
The pasta portions were very small. I ate lunch at 2, dinner was at 5, I’m 91 lbs., & was still hungry after my pasta. The dessert was wonderful.
The food was incredible especially the pasta. The service was on the slower side but the food defitely made up for it.
Excellent food and the staff made our anniversary a special evening!! Have already recommended it to several friends.
Best overall meal while in the NO area. From drink thru excellent dessert our visit was a great experience.
From the minute we walked in everything was perfect. The hostess was friendly. Loved our waitress Elliot . She was very knowledgeable of the menu. Loved the way she praised the chef and the staff she worked with . We noticed all the other employees were smiling and seemed be be happy. The food was amazing. We had the oysters for appetizer. Delicious!! The rabbit ravioli were to die for. The pork Osso Buco was one of the best dishes ever. Thank you for making my Birthday a special day.
Love this place. Living in New Orleans there are way to many delicious restaurants to go to. But I kept getting drawn back to their delicious pasta. There has not been one thing on the menu that I do not like. The portions of the pasta dishes are perfect that you dont end up over eating. This is defiantly a place to go if you want some freshly made delicious pasta dishes. the service is great repectfull but also attentitive so you not always sitting and waiting for one thing or another. My group bought 1 appetizer 3 pasta dishes and 2 cocktails for around $70. I will be returning to this restaurant very soon.
Fabulous well done dishes and adorable decor
We had reservations for dinner at 6:15 bc we were attending the Paul McCartney concert at 8. Service was so bad that when we hadn’t received our food by 7:25, we left. Other people arrived after us, ate and left while we waited for dinner. We Paid for our drinks and ate at the smoothie king center. Very disappointing and we won’t be back.
Great food, excellent service! We were in a hurry to catch a show at the Smoothie King center and Josephine Estelle’s was the perfect convenient location! The staff made sure we were out in plenty of time.
Waitress, servers, and manager were very receptive and inviting. Food great and original. Will be back for sure. Great place before the theater or concerts!
Our group of 8 went there before the Paul McCartney concert and had an outstanding experience. Other than the VERY delayed cocktail service (which the server warned us of), everything else was fantastic. The multiples of dishes that we ordered came out well presented and at proper temperature. The service was attentive and accommodating to our dining curfew and got us out of there on time. Can't wait to go back!!
Incredible food and ambiance!
Best desserts in the city. Start with any of the pastas. Chicken biscuit. JT Burger with the burnt cheese cape. Yes to pretty much everything at Josephine Estelle.
Beautiful decor, interesting menu, great tastes.
cocktails and food were yum! service mediocre, but was busy at the time we were there. most disappointing was that we were not offered a dessert menu. we were there in celebration of our daughter's graduation and celebratory dessert would have been lovely!
Unfortunately the buratta starter was too salty, ciabatta quite laden with oil. The pasta entree was delicious. The service fast and attentive but the noise in the bar was a misfit to the ambience the restaurant suggests
We love Josephine Estelle. The ambiance and vibe are great, really consistent and high end. We always love the food, from the pasta to the cheese board. And the service is always great!
