Good menu; very pleasant service
Joselito's is a Neighborhood and citywide gem! New stuffed squid was fantastic - Shrimp Crudo was fresh and unique and the lamb was magical. Thanks for another superb meal!
Great food and perfect, polished service in a very welcoming and lovely, relaxed setting.
Good tasting menu and wine pairing.
Great food. Great staff. Tapas since right. Would recommend
Best food on the Hill. Love that almost all dishes can be ordered as appetizer, main, or family.
Very disappointing lunch. There were several noisy tables nearby and the waitress and wait staff were preoccupied. The gazpacho was tasty but our two other dishes were disappointing (too salty and too small for two people).
Authentic spanish food. Great lunch specials at affordable prices.
Great summer menu. New tuna, scallop, shrimp and lamb dishes are amazing. One of our favorite DC restaurants. Great service and owner and chef are amazing. Thank you.
The food and service at this new venue is very good. The selection is classic Spanish but with some contemporary modifications. For most offerings, the patron can choose three sizes, opening the menu widely. The only reason I gave three of five for value is that the portion for the meal, even the media-racion, which they claim is a dinner sized portion, was rather small.
We had the tasting menu that consisted of five courses with two items for each course accompanied by sangria. The food presentation was good and the various courses were outstanding- favorites were the gazpacho, tuna and mushroom stew. The sangria was a great accompaniment but you can also order an optional wine pairing. Old world atmosphere in restaurant
Delicious mix of dishes that can all be ordered as tapas, medium, or family-sized. I always get tapas-sized so I can eat more of the items on their menu. Favorites: fried anchovies (boquerones), duck, salcipon (seafood salad), pork shoulder, and flan. This delicious place never disappoints. And be sure to make reservations if possible—the word is out on this place and it’s often very busy. A bonus: great , friendly staff.
Sat outside on sidewalk tables. Very enjoyable. Food very good. Service was very good and paced very casually. Made us able to enjoy the meal and not feel rushed.
Always one of my favorites. My guests were just as enthusiastic as I've been for a long time!
Always enjoy dinner there and sharing dishes with friends. Everything was excellent!
Wonderful as always
Wide variety of dishes, all coming in 3 sizes at 3 prices (tapas, entre, family sized). Each one, even the apparently familiar dishes, has a surprising, thoughtful twist of flavor or ingredients, each prepared very well. The wine list is great, the service friendly and knowledgeable. A dependable, fun treat!
We love coming here, it's a neighborhood favorite! The menu is always different so you can try different dishes at each visit!
Wonderful dishes, unique and tasty. Really enjoyed it, definitely will be back.
Food was wonderful and so was the service! I highly recommend the sangria!
Fantastic - one of my favorites places in DC. The food is delicious, and the venue is its own little getaway. Staff is great.
Great brunch, on an extremely quiet Sunday. Perfect cortados, beautiful bread, perfect fried eggs, beautiful jamón, and delightfully salty potatoes (which I have no idea how they were cooked). I will go back, for dinner.
Visiting friends and showcasing DCS food scene.
Only criticism is that the entries came out surprisingly cold. We ordered two entrees -- duck and pork -- both were cold. We chose to not send them back given the lateness of the evening.
Very good food and service interesting choices. Have been a number of times for lunch.
Joselito Casa de Comidas is always delightful from the lovely, warm ambiance and incredible food/beverages to impeccable service. The only disappointment was that they took gazpacho off the menu. That’s a big mistake and I strongly encourage them to put this favorite of many people back in the menu!
A well downtown located Spanish restaurant. The food is authentic, and they have a good selection of Tem Pramil Lo and Rioja wines. Very well aware of any gluten restriction. A Spanish “bistro” worth the trip.
Perfect spot for brunch. Amazing food, drinks, ambiance with great service. Will definitely be back.
Very very few vegetarian options!!!
The food is always delicious and creative. Excellent service
Hidden gem in Eastern Market, nice interior, delicious food, would return. Needs more street prominence and suffers from being in Eastern Market where weekends offer no parking and plenty of distractions. Great service and fantastic drinks, everyone was pleased. Went for brunch and loved the pasta, fried anchovies, steak and eggs. Brunch Bellini and Blood Mary were priced right. Very good overall.
Food was good but so loud. Overall good. Service attentive.
This is my "go to" neighborhood restaurant when I want to be assured of good food, friendly and competent service and the ability to hear my dining partners.
I always love visiting Joselito's. It's like coming home!
Beautiful food...well thought out and delicious. Nice menu variety without being overwhelming. Loved the reasonably priced and fresh sparkling sangria.
Outstanding meal during my second visit. Went for a birthday some months ago and returned last Mon. on my way to LC for a program. The mango, avocado and tomato salad was wonderful. Pork meatballs tasty and the Spanish rice with seafood was really flavorful. Split these with my friend so we could try several tastes and it worked out very well. The bread pudding dessert was really great also. I will return regularly to try all the dessert options as well as the menu. Service was great and by going early at 5pm, we had the dining room to ourselves until just before we left at 6:20.
The food was good, the place is cute. Love the duck and their red sangria. However, our entrees were delivered one at a time, with considerable gap in between. There were six of us. After the third plate came in, I had to ask the server to serve the last three all together. My mom’s food was cold by the time all the entrees were served.
Great ambiance and amazing food! Service was top notch.
Excellent meal. We had the pork cheeks, the silpicon, jamon, and monk fish.
Joselito is fantastic! I've gone twice now with family and friends, and both times were wonderful experiences. The service and ambiance are both very nice, and the food is absolutely stellar. I've never had a bad dish here -- they range from good to excellent. Adjustable plate sizes (most are available in tapas, entree, and family portions) make it easy to try a range of dishes or to double down on a favorite, and make it good for either a date or large gathering. The braised pork cheek and the spiced mashed potato with sardines are both excellent, but the monkfish blows them all away. I cannot recommend this place enough.
