Fabulous find -- This has become my go-to restaurant on Capitol Hill. It is ideal for lunches with friends or business associates. It is quiet for conversation, with simple yet elegant surroundings, outstanding food and good service (which is attentive but not obsequious). The $28 fixed price, 3-course lunch is a tremendous value. The only difficulty is the restaurant is hard to find. It is located on Pennsylvania Ave SE between 6th and 7th but the signage is so understated that I walked by it dozens of times and never noticed it. It is a hidden gem between District Taco and Le Pain Quotidien.

Poor management. Parts of the bar look like a storage space. Staff congregate at back of restaurant rather than attend the bar or tables. Half the diners are put into a separate room with very load AC unit, kills the atmosphere in the main section. Menu is lacking and over prices.

The servers were courteous and helpful. The food was great on all counts. The noise was insufferable and extremely annoying. Not sure if I can go again just for that. The access to the restrooms confusing and unacceptable.
