Took a party of 7 for Father’s Day. Server was fairly attentive. Pace of the meal was extremely slow. Which was surprising because we were literally the only customers. Opinions on the entrees varied greatly. However, the majority of our group were disappointed with their meal. The high cost was not inline with the quality of the food. Jordan Hall aspires to be a sheik NYC pub but misses completely. Will not return.
Excellent food and service. A great hidden gem.
Visited Jordan Hall 10803 for the first time this past weekend. Loved the brunch! The cocktails were excellent. The choice of appetizers and entrees was fantastic. Will definitely be going back.
This restaurant ruined my mother's day brunch. They were ill-prepared for the occasion, although they offered a special Mother's Day prix fix menu. We had a noon reservation and they didn't seat us for 20 minutes. We had my 3 1/2 and 1 year old grandchildren, who are very well-behaved, but after an hour waiting for our main courses, I had my son's family go home with the kids, and asked to have the food to-go, and paid the check. Even though they gave me a discount they ruined the day. My son told me he heard similar complaints on the way out. What little food we had, appetizers had clearly been left sitting in the kitchen, because they arrived cold.
Took my mom for mother’s day I got no service I could of walked out without paying very unorganized
Unfortunately the service was slow and food mediocre. I had heard it was good so disappointed. Loved the decor though.
Took my mother for Mother's Day. We went early on Saturday - 4 pm. First time here and were very impressed. Nice menu selection, good service and great food - all reasonably priced for the quality. Will definitely go back!
Not Reliable for Opentable Bookings. We scheduled an early Mother’s Day brunch through OpenTable. We got a confirmation text to which we responded. But when we arrived we were told they were having a private party and couldn’t seat us.
Friends birthday and my new job celebration
I called this restaurant last minute to find out about their menu. It was my son’s bday and wanted to end the day with a bang! And boy did we. The service - EXCELLENT. FOOD - GREAT!
I think George is the owner. He made a special dessert for my son, table side, OH MY GOD! He told everyone on our side of the restaurant that we were celebrating a birthday so when it was time to sing the other customers chimed in and sang Happy birthday to my son. I am so impressed. I’ve been to some of the finest restaurants in New York and I have to say that this is by far one of my favorites. It was our first time there. I would recommend to anyone!
It’s great for families as well as a date night. It’s a small setting. The ambiance is peaceful. I felt like I was home!
Everything we had to eat was absolutely excellent; an appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert, and all of them were home runs. The service was attentive, and it was just an overall pleasant experience. Looking forward to returning!
The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable!
Not bad food but completely inept and graceless service. Decor from hell. Confusing place that does not know it’s purpose or provide relaxation. Please stop serving “malback
New owners, need to step it up! Menu changed not for the better
Service was slow, they were out of many wines and liquors, they undercooked my steak, and our friends at adjacent table had an “inedible” meal. Other than that, it was great.
My husband and I had a nice date night dinner . I enjoyed the creamy Burrata and beet salad with pistachios for starters, he had the chicken wings. My Main was the Lobster and Shrimp Risotto which was moist and delicious, was hoping for more lobster meat. My husband had the chicken Scarpiallo which was good. It was nice and quiet not too noisy and service was prompt and attentive. There were some excellent comfort foods on the menu.
Jordan Hall 10803 has been re-born many times in the past twenty years as different restaurants. I was very eager to try it out to discover what type of food? Service? Bar? Ambiance?
On this night in Pelham, I think a very energetic staff was still trying to put the whole experience together. They're very nice and helpful. The menu is eclectic.... well priced steaks and specials, and sandwiches too for those who want less. But, no consistent theme or direction. Is this a steakhouse? Italian food? American food? Bar food?
The menu is very mixed.
Good choices of both gourmet and comfort food. And, when the food came (after a bit of a wait), it was abundant and delicious.
There were some promising moments in the experience, but I think the restaurant needs to set a clearer direction for the entire dining experience.
Went for New Year’s Day dinner and everything was wonderful! Menu has changed and makes it perfect for dinner any night of the week - even with the kids
Food was great. Service was very slow. Wait staff seemed inexperienced except for excellent host. New menu is more affordable and family friendly.
First time at this establishment but not the last. George made the evening with his hands on service. All recommendations were spot on and sampling of wines prior to ordering was very welcome.
Returned to Jordan Hall after not having dined there for awhile. Was disappointed at the change of menu. The new menu is very random and doesn't make sense. The food was good, but not the great steaks we were used to. We won't be back.
If I could give them 10000 stars I would. Everything was magnificent and they treated us like royalty. They knew it was my mothers birthday so the owner pulled out all of his tricks. He was very personable, treated us kind and came up to us frequently to ask us how everything was.
We had: the rib nachos, and shrimp over this bread with amazing sauce ( i forgot the name) for appetizer. For entree we had a porter house steak with spinach and mashed potato, and lobster and shrimp risotto which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. For dessert the owner came to our table and made it in front of us, the flaming strawberry shortcake. To add a lil extra they bought a piece of vanilla bean cheesecake and sung happy bday. Everything was divine. Literally, i could not have asked for a better experience. They were so nice and the food was impeccable. I can’t wait to go back. Shout out to George and his crew for being great host.
My family (party of 7) and I went here to celebrate some birthdays. I can honestly say we were completely happy with our decision to go to Jordan Hall. The food was simply amazing, from the deviled eyes, shrimp toast, crap cakes, bacon...the specials were also GREAT! And the kicker, with a party of 7, drinks and apps included the bill came up $360! We were ALL delighted by that bill, we just knew that bill would be $450 and up.
I can say the only complaint is that they do not have a drink menu. They do have wines and will make whatever you request but having a creative cocktail menu would have been a plus.
All in all, we loved Jordan Hall and will definitely go back!
Great dinner. Food was fantastic as was the service.
Both my husband & I ordered the Mini Filet Mignon and unfortunately we were told the delivery truck broke down and they were out of it. The owner made up for it by giving us a Porterhouse for two at the same price. The steak was done perfectly! The mushroom risotto was delicious as was the mashed potatoes. We were very early for dinner, so the restaurant was not crowded in the least. We would definitely go back again.
We love this dining venue and come back again and again. Dishes from the standard menu or daily specials are delicious and plentyful . Service is always very gracious and accommodating.
Just can't go wrong here! Simple but comfortable decor makes you feel cozy, especially during
the winter months.
Absolutely GREAT! From the service and initial greeting and throughout dinner and on to birthday dessert everything was amazing! Thank you for making my moms 76th birthday truly special.
While this place only had a few reviews, they were all excellent, so I took a chance. Wednesday dinner at 6:30 and only one other table. It started to fill later in the evening.
Pros: Had Porterhouse for 2, perfectly done, came sizzling on a platter. Usually I have to salt steak but this was perfectly seasoned, not too salty, just the right amount. Large portion. Mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy. Salads were good, too. Again, generous portions.
Large selection of wines by the glass. The Malbec went perfectly with the steak.
Atmosphere is updated clubby, with paintings of seductive women and some other random art. Sidewalk tables were set and would be great in warmer weather.
Service was very attentive. French service style, an "Old World" custom not seen much anymore.
Cons: No sound muffling surfaces, so noise levels are amplified. Pandora played, along with the ads one must suffer through for the free version. If you are charging $45 entrees, the least you can do is spring for the 5 bucks a month for ad -free streaming and not subject patrons to advertising while they are enjoying an upscale meal.
Sides, like most steakhouses, are additional.
Bottom line- I would go again.
We want to like Jordan Hall, and think it has promise, but has been a disappointment in the two dinners we've had there.
On Saturday night, we arrived to a friendly host, who didn't have our reservation handy because it was made through Open Table. After running to the back of the restaurant, he found it and we were seated quickly.
The wait staff seemed to be tripping on each other, and our waiter didn't seem to know what beer selection the restaurant had (I guess I should have ordered wine!)
The bread at the table (and the butter) were cold and unremarkable. The olives served appeared to be right out of a can. We ordered a bruschetta appetizer that was served with cold grated cheese that seemed out of a package.
Our seafood entrees were nicely prepared and delicious.
I hope they can get their rhythm soon. There are some hopeful signs.
We recently had dinner with my wife and two kids ,we really enjoyed everything great appetizers and Entrées service was friendly and very attentive definitely be back soon
Excellent food! Loved the chicken parm and tuna tartar.
The Porterhouse is amazing
We were there for my mother's 97th birthday. Even though it was the brunch menu, they let us order from the regular menu since she was a bit picky. Very accommodating, beautiful restaurant, excellent food.
nothing as expected - hopefully thier steaks will be better
Excellent choices from the menu (spaghetti carbonara) and from the daily specials (veal). Love the small on-the-house antipasto when you sit down.
The place is really lovely . The service was excellent and the food very good. One strange thing was how empty it was on a Saturday night. Made it feel strange to be surrounded by so many empty tables. I hope business picks up. We love a new restaurant close to home!
My friends and I had a wonderful brunch. Food and drinks were delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and neighborhood ambiance. Will definitely go again and recommend to others!
Very noisy, tons of smokers outside & screaming, un-carded, underage drinkers at the bar. Service was terrible. 35 min wait for an appetizer, salad came & was missing all of the toppings. Vegetables out of a can! Over 2.5 hours for a simple order. Eat somewhere else :(
All around great experience. Old school classy with a modern twist.
The owner and staff were accommodating. The service was wonderful. The food was great. It was a wonderful experience and a pleasure. As a resident of Pelham it's nice to frequent restaurants in my area that serve good food. Thank you Jordan Hall for a wonderful pre Father's Day dinner.
