We all enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu while catching up with our friends. The courses were each unique and spaced out well in a relaxing space with live jazz in the background. Service was excellent and we were comfortably full at the end of our meal. They now have a 8-course menu as well which might be tempting to try when we’re more hungry!

Joni is more than a me, it’s a thoughtfully curated experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was thoughtful and attentive, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Picture this: plump scallops, seared to a golden crust, nestled on a bed of tender turnips. Each element is balanced with care: the sweetness of the scallops, the earthiness of the turnips, and the nutty snap of hazelnuts. Simple, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Service complements the kitchen’s elegance. The staff make you feel inherently welcome and genuinely cared for. And when Head Chef Jon stops by your table, it’s more than a courtesy visit…it’s a shared moment. You sense his pride in these scallops, the stories behind their sourcing, and the effort in how they were prepared.

Joni Restaurant was recommended to me and it surpassed my expectations. Absolutely loved it and declicious food with generous portions cooked to perfection. Staff were very professional too. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful experience for our anniversary dinner. We started on the 17th floor in the Writer’s Room Bar. McKenzie was our server, and he was excellent. He was very attentive to our needs and brought us champagne for our celebration. We later had dinner at Joni. Our food was amazing and the service was impeccable. It was a very memorable evening for us, and we will be sure to return to both Joni, and the Writer’s Room Bar.

Joni is an exceptional place to celebrate any special occasion, our experience there was absolutely amazing and truly memorable. We made our reservation in advance and noted that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and thoughtful. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and warm anniversary wishes from the entire team. The manager on duty, JC, welcomed us personally and ensured that the table he had thoughtfully selected created the ideal setting for our celebration. We opted for the tasting menu, and every course exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, beautifully plated, and tailored to our preferences. Chef Drew was outstanding, he visited our table to understand our tastes and crafted each dish with remarkable care. He checked in with us multiple times, and his passion for what he does truly showed. The lobster dish and braised beef were unforgettable. Service was impeccable throughout the evening. A special thank you to Brian, who went above and beyond to make our night even more enjoyable. His warm and friendly approach made us feel truly valued, and the surprise gift of their famous butter tart was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. Thank you to the entire Joni team for making our anniversary so special. This has become our new favourite spot to celebrate, and a place we’ll be coming back to again and again.

Joni’s restaurant is the perfect spot in Yorkville and Toronto. Always consistent in 5 star food, service and environment. A place where all my needs exceed my many previous visits. You will love it here. DON

We had the chef's tasting menu and it did not disappoint! A farm-to-table themed 5-course (although there 2-3 more palate cleansers in there as well) covering much seafood as well as short ribs. The tasting menu does change depending on what local farmers have in season. The service was outstanding, the restaurant had amazing ambience but there was not a single note of pretentiousness which gives comfort to really enjoy the dining experience and ask as many questions as you want. The tasting menu was a lot of food as well, so for $95 it was really good value.
