   Lovely food & exceptional service. Spoiled by the two larger tables next to us that seemed to be in competition for who could talk & laugh the loudest! Meaning we couldn’t hear a word said between us. This is the fault of the pub but made it so that we wanted to pay and get out to save our ear drums, Thank you for the lovely food.

   Our table in the restaurant overlooked the sea. Wonderful view. We ordered the Jolly fish platter to share. The food was first class and the service excellent. I will definitely be returning.

   We visit The Jolly Fisherman a couple of times a year when we are staying in the area. It never disappoints. The pub is in a beautiful setting with stunning views, the tables are nicely spaced apart giving a good ambience and not feeling too noisy or crowded. The food is delicious - fresh and beautifully presented.

   Stopped here on recommendation from friends on our way back from Northumberland. Glad we booked and could only get a seat in the bar as so popular. I fancied Haddock and chips but not on the menu so had a delicious fish pie. Samphire was nice but not keen on the kale. Dessert was the brownie, delicious. 2 meals with 2 desserts and 2 beers was roughly £84 so not cheap but nice experience.

   Great venue for dinner. Enjoy fabulous sea views whilst eating in the restaurant. The crab soup, fish pie and sea trout were delicious. Good choice of options at competitive prices. Excellent service

   Another great experience. Sadly due to colder weather brought many into the place and them using the bar area as a holding point, with many watching for the opportunity to take a table that became free. The staff were excellent and the food was superb. Would suggest putting a sign to say “full” to prevent the overcrowding near people dining.

   Hmmm! Great place in a great location but! Fish pie was good but chips to accompany were not cooked; really? This is basic cuisine then if you can’t even get the basics right then a pretty poor show. Seems to be run by kids rather than professionals with pride . Focus is more on emptying your wallet rather than a focus on good food and good service. Overall a poor experience not to be done again (sadly!)

   The food was excellent.The service was good,and the waitress who looked after us was very good,and recommended the correct wine, and was cheerful. Although the Jolly Fisherman was busy it seemed that the staff had time to deal with everyone.

   Overall, it's disappointing. Food was mediocre and originall was put onto a very unappealing table despite online booking and requesting a good table with a view as it was a birthday. The table was changed to a better one but chairs were not comfy. Crab had many pieces of shell and unpleasant texture.. calamari battered and not as fresh as expected in a seafood restaurant. Will not return and suggest better restaurants are in the area. The location is it's best point.

    Lovely location, great service and good food. It was a bit crowded on a Tuesday in early May so I am not sure about coming here during the season although the staff coped admirably.
