Heard great things about this place and was excited to celebrate our special occasion here, but was incredibly disappointed. Food was good, but service was atrocious and ruined our night. Our waiter never introduced himself, never once came to check on us to the point that we weren’t able to order a second round of drinks, barely looked our way let alone spoke to us, and was overall very rude. Even when we asked a busboy to get our waiter so we could order another round, he never came. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt until we saw him chain smoking cigarettes outside while we waited for valet…now we know where he was all night. On top of this, the manager went to all the tables around us to see how they were doing except for us…never been treated so poorly at a dinner before. Guess our money isn’t good enough for this place.

I have been patronizing this restaurant for 30 years. I haven't been there in a while due to Covid. It is fine dining and known to be a bit pricey. I ate there yesterday. The whole restaurant has been updated. It looks lovely. The service was excellent. The prices of the food have gone up so much that I doubt I will be going there again any time soon. They eliminated the salad. Now it is ala carte. The rolls were not fresh. The cruite dish that I used to love, now only consisted of radishes and carrots. I had branzino (very good). My friend had lobster tails. They were $79 !!!! As was the 2 lb lobster special. So, all in all, good food, good service, way overpriced.

Service was about a average but I have to let you know that there what two private parties going on. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive but hard to find. The food was slightly above average I won’t rush back but I wouldn’t mind eating there again.

We arrived at the restaurant, and everything was dark. There was a handwritten sign saying they were closed due to staff shortages. However, they had accepted our reservation through Open Table and they had my contact number. However, they never called to notify me that they were closed. As a longtime patron of this restaurant, I am quite disappointed that they didn’t have the consideration to reach out to me in advance. Thus, I was left with no dinner reservation at 7 pm!

This is one of our whole family’s favorite restaurants. The food and service are always top notch, and we love looking out at the scenic pond in back. The menu has something for everyone, and their bread basket is really delicious. Although at home I rarely eat an entire lunch, the celebratory feeling that you get when eating here, and treating yourself, is unparalleled - it’s great! We had a wonderful lunch- I’m so happy that they have survived the pandemic- please support this restaurant- you will not regret it!

Jolly Fisherman is usually packed "to the gills" on a Saturday for lunch. Restaurant was virtually empty with waitstaff standing with little to do. Given that, service was not as good as it could be. Glasses not refilled, no one came to check on us after being served. And a soda refill request was never brought. Portions are smaller; prices are about the same. Decent value, but not what it was.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. The ambiance was lovely. Staff was super friendly. Food was outstanding. Service was a tad slow but it was a busy Friday night. Looking forward to coming back.
