It was wonderful. The table was ready when we arrived. We were greeted warmly and appropriate. The meal was delicious. Our server was great. Perfect date.
Small menu with 5 entrees, but something for everyone. Save room for dessert!
Absolutely amazing. Love sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen!
Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! Smoked trout dip, escargot, beet & apple salad (amazing!), mussels, & trout almandine: everything hit the mark. Service was exceptional. We look forward to returning soon.
Sat upstairs on the roof top that was covered with one big umbrella. Lovely setting. Good food.
I missed out due to the flu but our friends went and had a very enjoyable evening. "Food was delicious and prices reasonable," "I'd definitely go back" are the feedback I got.
The tables were so close together, that our neighbors literally had to hold their drinks for me to go to the bathroom (and I am not a very large person). The woman in the couple to my right was closer to me than my husband across the table. Made for a very loud and "community" meal. The food was great. However, we asked for more bread to accompany the mussels and were charged $4 for a basket that came with 4 small slices of baguette -- literally $1 per baguette slice! Shame on you for trying to soak your customers by up-charging and cramming people in so that they can barely eat! Too bad, because the food was yummy. Don't think "cool European metro feel" -- think, "I better not order a second glass of wine because the last time I went to the restroom it caused such a commotion."
Scott Crawford has done it again! Every bite was fabulous. Service was absolutely top notch!
The menu was french inspired enough. I wish it would have taken some regional cues though. I wasn’t blown away at the taste of the food I felt as though some dishes were missing a little bit of something. The experience was still quite lovely and I did feel like I was in a Parisian restaurant.
Jolie is charming in every way! The decor is lovely, service is excellent and the French menu perfectly executed. A delightful new addition to the Raleigh dining scene. Jolie is a warm experience meant to be repeated.
I had the trout. The flavor was second to none,,, like a party on a plate! Downside-small place; seating is tight.
Small beautiful space, food was amazing with attentive friendly service.
Incroyable :) merci pour le bon service, belle ambience et bouffe excellente.
Amazing staff and food! We asked our waitress what she recommended and received an "insiders" suggestion of what to order.
Really fantastic food and wine -- we felt like we were back in France -- even the restrooms were adorable!
Everything was wonderful! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was flavorful, cooked perfectly and arrived in a timely manner. I did wrestle a bit with the toast in the onion soup, but it was delicious and worth the fight. Tables were a bit close together, but again, I didn't mind... just an observation. Will definitely be dining here again!
Rooftop dining, especially on a crisp fall evening, was sublime. Flavorful fall menu. We were in Holly’s incomparable hands. Her recommendations, which she did not hesitate to share when asked, were spot on. The libations were some of the best we’ve had during the past few years.
The food was fantastic! Great plate presentation & flavors were superb!
It was perfect. The food was outstanding. The environment was perfectly lit and just situated beautifully.
Worth all the hype......
What an incredible experience! The service was wonderful, and the food was fantastic. The prices are very reasonable and well worth the cost. This was one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had. I will most certainly be back, and I highly recommend it!
Jolie was everything we hoped it would be. Delicious food, friendly service and a lively, casual and welcoming atmosphere. Just an overall great experience from start to finish. We will not be waiting to get a reservation in order to return. The rooftop and bar are lovely options available for walk-ins nightly. We plan to make this a go-to just for a dinner out and not just special occasions.
Cool spot... but didn't totally love my choices.... Small portions, pricey... and definitely liked sister restaurant J Crawford better..... Plus not that many choices on the menu which was limiting....
Lovely meal start to finish. I stalked opentable for a res and luckily one opened. 5pm seemed so early, but I was glad to make it and try Jolie. The food was decadent. I loved having a view of the kitchen too. Made for a nice experience all around.
Fabulous from start to finish. The menu was small and right to the point. We ordered a lot of appetizers (I think all but 2) and 2 desserts. Everything was delicious. The rooftop was lovely.
What a gem! Love this little piece of Paris – right here in Raleigh.
This was great! Wonderful service and excellent foot. Will definitely be back.
A beautiful rooftop table, a delicious French menu, and great service from Holly and others. Kudos to Scott and his new restaurant.
Very much enjoyed the experience. Impressed by the beverage program as well!!
Food was excellent, service was perfectly-frequent. Noise level on the rooftop is quieter with tables further apart than the first floor, so dine downstairs if you prefer a more energetic ambiance.
Our dining experience was fantastic. The food was great and the service was right on time. My hubby and I went on a date night and had a great time. Thanks!
Jolie is a beautiful restaurant. It will transport you back to Paris. Open cooking, close tables, warm. The thing that lacked the most was the service. I was surprised considering how little the place is that the service was so terrible. After 5 minutes our waiter came up and said "Do you know what you want to drink" no hi, how are you, any questions? Straight to the point. Then he asked us for our order. We initially ordered 2 appetizers. The waiter then came back 5 minutes later and rushed us for our entree order. Our food arrived ALL AT ONCE. If I am paying over $200 for a dinner (for 2 people) I want the food coursed out. We wanted to enjoy our appetizers before our meals. We were not given that experience. What was interesting is the table next to us received their starters first then their entrees. Not sure if our food was just inputted wrong or what. We don't have any reason to be back at Jolie. The food was good but nothing that makes you go WOW and the lack of service was the worst of it all. Save yourself money and go somewhere else.
Excellent food and the roof-top seating is very cool (well, not so cool with this stinkin' hot September). I had the beef cheeks. So...incredibly...good. But....just as I was winding down, we got the chocolate torte for dessert. It blew me away. Best dessert ever. Get it. Really, just get it.
The food, drinks, and service were amazing. My only two complaints are that the restaurant space is small so the tables are very close together. The chairs become uncomfortable after sitting in them longer than an hour. But overall it was a lovely dinner and I would absolutely go back again.
Amazing!! Everything we had was off the charts! Steak Frites, Flounder Almondine, Beef Burginone and Chicken Fricassee. Wait staff was incredible as well. Highly recommend.
Fantastic! Exceeded expectations which is hard to do. Scott Crawford executes well. Love the quaint feel and the food was spot on. Look forward to trying out the terrace up top next time!
Excellent French bistro (via North Carolina), cozy, loud, friendly. Some dishes are superb--the turnip vichysoisse, the chicken fricassee (who knew that old cafeteria staple could be so good?), the steak tartare--and others are fine, if not as interesting as the others (the sweet liver mousse shouldn't be billed a foi gras, given what chefs around the country are doing with foi gras--that dish should be a showstopper given the brand of the place). Desserts are great, and the by-the-glass wine list is limited but smart--just what I'd expect in a Scott Crawford venue. I will return!
Dined on the roof even though it was in the low 80s it was a great experience. Service and food were both great. We will return
