Milk shakes were subpar and the candy, cookies and all toppings were stale. The hostess sat us downstairs where it was dingy and not very festive even though the upstairs had plenty of room. Will definitely never be back there!

I am sad to say this JoJo’s will leave you wanting if you compare it to the city one. The service was terribly slow to simply take our order. Food arrived quickly though. The ambiance wasn’t “Christmasy” either like in the city. I was just disappointed overall and will not be returning to this location again.

We got there at 3:30pm and had not been served for 10 minutes when I finally placed the order at the stand. We were sitting right by the door, and there was only one other table. There were four employees standing around at the front, and no one came to us. It was not their fault that we were in a hurry, but to sit and watch them talk to each other without helping us was disappointing. When I placed the order to go at the counter, I was shocked that the waitress had the nerve to ring it up as if she helped us, which applied an 18% gratuity to our bill automatically. It was $60 for two shakes and a burger to go. We love the downtown location and was disappointed that they couldn't get it together. The bartender was asking a coworker which alcohol was bourbon and clearly was overwhelmed with one old-fashioned being ordered at the only other table there. It was frustrating and annoying that I had to pay $8 in gratuity to have her hand me my to go bag. We went to the counter ourselves to pick up the shakes. The least they could have done was rang us up for a to-go order without adding gratuity for handing me a bag. I would suggest going to the downtown location instead.

Great xmas vibe and decor. Parking is free but can be difficult many lots near by but plan on walking a little from parking. Allow time to find parking. Tomato bisque soup was outstanding! Grill cheese was yummy. Mozzarella sticks were average. Shakes were pricey but delicious. Service was very polite but a bit slower. Tree house is fun ask to sit there for more holiday vibe but its very chilly even though indoors. We kept jackets on. Treehouse involves stairs. Downstairs seating is less festive but has a bar and way warmer. Single stall bathrooms gender neutral. We were at Naperville location. Jocelyn wa our server she was awesome! 18 tip built into bill do no need to tip extra unless you want to be extra extra generous 😉 Recommend reservations and a weekday to avoid crowds!

They charge an 18% service fee on all checks. When we were first seated, two servers were discussing which one had to take us. The server that was eventually assigned or volunteered was excellent/very attentive. We luckily had cash because that was the only way to give more tip.

The tip is automatically added onto the bill. It would have been fine if our server actually checked in on us here and there but she didn’t deserve that high of a tip that was automatically charged onto our bill.

We weren’t expecting much - figured fancy burger joint. Our party had smash burger, turkey Rueben, and Cleveland’s sandwich. Food was better than we expected. Side salad was huge, rye bread tasted fresh. Our server, Mary, was attentive and sweet. The best was the fancy frozen mango margarita served with a beautiful edible flower. We didn’t have the shakes (yes, we are crazy). It was dinner so we ordered just food and we were too full to have ice cream. The shakes did look awesome and I am sure they are incredible. The service charge is automatically included at 18% on the bill. We usually tip 20%.

Because we had 5 people in our party they added gratuity, to the entire bill, including tax and liquor (generally not done in most restaurants). 3 of those people were children too. Since the tip wasn't a concern, our server barely came by. We had to ask for things 2 or 3 times, including silverware. The shakes were good, but the food was gross. They even charge $4 to add fries to KIDS MEALS. Apparently, they don't include ANY sides with kids' meals. The place is NOT kid-friendly, although it appears like it would be. Tables aren't steady and no lids for their cups. No straws either. The table, benches, and menus were gross and sticky and covered in food and grime. It took 2 hours from start to stop with just dinner and shakes and it cost us $260. We also mentioned we were celebrating our daughter's 13th birthday and they did and said nothing. Absolutely disappointed.

We went to try the food, not the ice cream. I know that was crazy. Food was okay at best. The ice cream looked good but if you want a burger,skip the smash burger and just go to Culver’s. Culver’s is so much better and cheaper. Really good waffle fries, however. 2 burgers, appetizer, and soft drinks set us back $71 (with tip)

We have had friends visit other locations, so we were looking forward to our family meal. This is not a great location to sit comfortably if you have anyone in your party who is a little older. The seat options are a hard bench or uncomfortable metal chairs. The service wasn’t great either. Typically, I try to be graceful as I know those who work in the restaurant industry are busy and work very hard. However, the restaurant was not busy, and service was extremely slow.

Just as fun and delicious as advertised. Creative dessert treats priced reasonably for the ambience and all you get. Fun atmosphere and photo ops, retro arcade games, and bar atmosphere for those there for the alcohol.

This was such a special experience for parents and our girls heading to Homecoming. The service was superb with our party of 10. The atmosphere in the Tree House seating didn't disappoint and lots of fall photo opportunities. We had great service and photos of wonderful memories.

Save your money. Way over priced for the value of the food. Eat before coming, I’d say only have a shake here, but honestly it’s only for the atmosphere, you’re better off going to a dozen places in the area for a better shake.

The waiter forgot to bring out a couple of things and had to be reminded. The food was pretty good but the menus and tables were sticky and dirty which made for kind of a gross experience. The 18 percent gratuity was automatically added - which I don’t mind - but then I expect, at a minimum, a clean environment, and maybe an apology if they forget to bring out our full order. I did appreciate all the vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free options. It’s always nice to have such an inclusive menu. The shakes were delicious, and the kids thought it was a fun place, although my 10 year old was grossed out by her sticky menu.

If you are hungry, this is not the place with a wide array of food choices/reasonably priced food. This place specializes in desserts, shakes, but not in food. The cocktails were decent and the bartender was amazing but I was slightly disappointed with the food and overall experience. I think my hopes were higher for more maybe.

Brought my grand children there for dinner sat outside. I bought them pumpkins and they painted them and had a great time. The food was fine, nothing special, and very small portions. I didn't like that they automatically added an 18% tip onto the bill. We were only a party of three and I've never had that before.

So the atmosphere of the restaurant was great the kids loved it! The food was subpar I guess since we have heard people rave about this place and how amazing the food was we expected more. We ordered the loaded fries which came out cold. The onion ring tower which was good. And we all order sandwiches that were just ok. I will say the milkshakes are amazing! And we will be back for shakes but not food. The service was horrible. And then we were charged an 18% gratuity on our bill. Which to me tell us that the servers don’t care because they know they are going to get a tip. The server never came back to ask if we wanted refills we had to stop her to bring us some. She came back and asked once how the appetizers. She never asked us how our meals were. And it was not busy it was only us and one other table she had so between the two tables there was 9 of us up there. It was just a very sad experience for all the hype this place has. And if you ask me would I recommend this place to anyone maybe and it would only be for shakes.

The food and service were good, so that's the most important thing, BUT with each passing visit the place gets a little more run down, the menus get a little stickier and the bathrooms smell a little bit worse. These things add up over time and eventually they'll outweigh the food and fun aspect of the restaurant.

I thought the large group experience was a rip off. The amount of appetizers and fries was less than expected - and when you consider it family style - they should have brought more when asked vs charged. The waiter never asked for drinks - we had to ask twice for silverware. Milkshakes were just good - not great. Food was just good not great. For the $40 per person cost - the waiter should I have been much more attentive. The potions better portioned for a table of 14, family style. Overall, fun for the thirteen year old party but the cost was way too high for what we received.

We went to try the famous shakes. They came up too short. They were no good. Disappointed in the we paid a lot to not have real ice cream. The shakes were made out of hershey sauce. Save your money.

Drove past this place dozens of times. Never stopped for dinner as the name led us to believe it was just a shake place. Found in open table and decided to try for dinner. Wish we would have know earlier. Food was absolutely fantastic. Smash burger was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Wife had the grilled cheese and loved it. Shakes were great too. Can’t wait to return!

I didn’t want to believe the reviews but there’s a lot of truth to them. We ordered 4 of their crazy shakes and they were basically melted. The toppers tasted like an old fridge. Everything is a separate charge. The food was not hot. There’s also an 18% service charge which is not gratuity. The server was nice but only came to our table 3 times.

Definitely all about the atmosphere and it’s cute for kids. Quality of the food wasn’t great, especially given the price. Best part was the shake but it’s almost overkill with how much they pack into one. Restaurant was kind of dirty but perhaps they just hadn’t cleaned up after a lunch rush as we were there for dinner. Overall, wouldn’t go back.

I think the automatic gratuity allows for service to suffer. We had to request our dirty plates to be cleared a number of times so we could have a clean table for dessert. We had a little bit of higher expectations and there was just really lack of attention to detail. Just felt like another number, unfortunately.
