JoJo is my favorite restaurant on the UES. The atmosphere is modern but warm. The bar has a collection of pink, blue and clear vintage cocktail glasses which add charm to the understated space.
The service is exceptional and the food is delicious.
Our table upstairs was a little tight and my only complaint was that we could hear our neighbors entire conversation.
Overall a great night.
Lovely experience... comfortable... great service ... good food... noooo complaints!!!!
LOVE JoJo! Always wonderful food, staff and atmosphere~
The food was mediocre. I wrote a long review on yelp. Aside from great staff and being in a gorgeous building I wouldn’t recommend it as a one of the restaurants under the Jean Georges empire. They have better restaurants. Even my peach cobbler was served Luke warm which didn’t melt the ice cream.
The services were way too efficient and felt so rushed. It’s not like what it used to be.
Had always wanted to try Jojo’s and finally had the chance. Everything was delicious. The staff was helpful and professional. It was a lively evening.
JoJo remains a top dining destination for us; the room — under the expert management of Britta Priest — runs with energetic, yet warm precision, and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming and attentive. And the food, of course, is inventive, exquisitely prepared, and delicious. Love restaurant, love the staff (special nod to the extraordinary Sean), love the food, love the whole JoJo experience.
Way too loud...food average...service below average...won’t be back and will negatively recommend to friends
love their new decor. It's cosy and intimate. Great service, excellent meal with the vegans beautifully catered for. Worthy of the weekly favourite for locals.
Wonderful reopening by Jean George! Great food, ambiance, service, and location. We will return.
I was visiting New York for the rest time so I did some research as to where I could take my client for a nice dinner.
I looked at a few places but was really only able to get a reservation for JoJo’s.
It was a cute little spot, the food was AMAZING! I got the sea bass and it was to die for and I also got the tuna tartar to start.
They were able to make an espresso martini for me so I was happy about that and the gin martini was also very tasty.
Very delicious food and lovely service. Cozy, pretty, tasteful dining room. Low-key chic in every way.
I've been a fan of Jojos for a very long time. I was really pleased they reopened after their fire and I love their new more modern, clean look. More importantly the food was really delicious too!
Very nice decor but overated food.
With a reservation, for a table for three to which the restaurant was alerted was in honor of a guest from overseas, we were made to wait for over one hour (more than 60 minutes) for our table. When I pointed to other tables that were free the response was these are for four people. After we were seated these same tables for four ONLY was occupied by 2 people.
The food was mediocre and with that level of noise I would recommend to avoid that restaurant despite the fact that unlike the reception staff, our food server was professional and very pleasant.
Delicious lobster, lovely server, but be prepared to yell your conversations. No surprise since I've dined here recently and knew the drill. Still--I wonder if there's any way some fabric could be introduced to the room to absorb some of the chatter. EVERYONE was yelling to be heard.
Chaotic front of the house. Excellent food. Noise Level was impossible. No opportunity to talk.
I have not been to JoJos in years but was thrilled with the meal. We had an upstairs corner table where the acoustics are much better than downstairs. Service was perfect and the meal was amazing. I recommend the fluke sashimi and the duck which was perfect. My guest and client was thrilled with the meal and she is a real foodie. It was a perfect experience. Also we were pre- theatre and all the courses were perfectly timed.
I can’t imagine how the service can get any better. Food was also superb. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the menu items. Excellent experience overall.
The Emperor’s New Restaurant?
After this former gem of an UES restaurant reopened after a long-awaited renovation, we were excited to enjoy its ambiance and delicious food once again. But what a disappointment.
Welcome to the newest masquerade of mediocre farm-to-table dining. From the glaring staff who couldn’t care less—throwing down dishes with no explanation and no silverware—to overcooked meat, bland soup, and uninspired appetizers, this is a place to skip. But whatever you do, don’t come for second-seating dinner: you’ll be ignored to oblivion. Next!
Classic JG recipes and very attentive service. The wine list is surprisingly pricey. The noise level downstairs is painful. The remodel is spare and charmless.
It is the perfect restaurant to impress a client, friend or family member. The staff is on top of their game and the food speaks for itself 5stars!! Not sure if Jean George clones himself, but he manages to be in all the restaurants when he is in town. Bravo JG
One of my favorite restaurants
Snap pea cucumber salad fresh, delicious, beautiful presentation.. ate every drop...
Salmon cooked to perfection
Didn't have the butterscotch pudding
My friend didn't want dessert
But I can tell u it is orgasmic
Enjoyed a friday night dinner that was fantastic. All three courses were exciting and delicious. Recent Monday night dinner was very good but night quite up to the first meal. They seem to be still fiddling with the menu mixing new items with classics and even changing the sauces/sides of mains from week to week making it hard to recommend items or enjoy something a second time.
Painfully noisy and we were early.
Food fresh and artful.
Good mood, kindful staff, delicious food! I enjoyed my dinner with my friend!
First time there since the remodel and JoJo doesn't disappoint. Beautiful decor, we had a lovely table upstairs by the window, professional but not hovering service and the food delicious! Definitely will return.
We had a wonderful experience at Jojo! We were welcomed when we arrived and the service was outstanding. Natasha and every person was accommodating and very nice. The food is absolutely fantastic! The menu choices and the preparation was perfect. We enjoyed everything we ordered and will be coming back soon! Well done!
We celebrated our anniversary at Jojo recently. I was looking for a place with good food, not too noisy and my friend recommended Jojo to us. She was right, I was not disappointed at all. Everything was perfect. Waiters were nice and friendly. Plates were clean and pretty. Food was awesome. Salmon, duck breast, beef very well cooked. And chocolate cake oh my god, the first bite was unbelievable. Salty caramel was also amazing.
Thank you Jojo for giving us an unforgettable anniversary.
What can I say...Jean-Georges has yet to disappoint. What a party for your tastebuds...and every other sense you have! Exiting, unique and delicious, it’s what you crave when dining out...and that’s what you’ll get. Love this farm to table more of a casual dining concept , love the portions , perfect so you can experience and enjoy an all course meal...appetizer, main and dessert ... feeling pleasantly full and delightfully satisfied in the end.
Quality all the way round, close to perfection. Third times the charm.
JoJo never disappoints - the food is always special and delicious, great wines and phenomenal service. Ashley, the assistant general manager is so attentive and ensures everyone has a great time, always with a smile.
Appetizers and mains are excellent! Desserts felt store bought and heated in the microwave. Could do well with an innovative pastry chef. Service was slightly underwhelming when the restaurant was full to capacity.
Very good food, limited menu, bit pricy but I am from midwest, would come back next time in New York
This is 3rd time in 4 weeks I've eaten here. The first two times service was incredibly bad. Inexperienced, nonchalant, and really no interest in doing their job. This was much better. Wait staff much more intune to serving and providing appropriate I formation.
My first impression very clean and cool with an aire of class in ambiance. A cozy little spot well lit with colors that wet the palate. Food was simply delicious waking up every taste bud in my mouth and staff was extremely professional yet friendly.
Lovely evening for everyone we all enjoyed ourselves
We found the meal and the ambuance delightful. The service was lovely, too.
I love this restaurant, so cozy and delicious! They have the best beet salad and crispy chicken for main course. Great place!
Largely expected, truly amazing restaurant. Ambiance and service are definitely the strengths.
Dishes were well crafted, creative, very carefully prepared.
Food was high quality. A bit too salty for my taste, particularly the appetizers.
Very expensive, upper-east priced.
Overall one of the restaurants I have been to.
