Good service and food
It was restaurant week and the service was only fair but the it was the first course that really felt like they didn’t care. My salad was unattractive and so vinegary that it was inedible. The main course was good but the overall experience did not make me feel like I will return. My friend felt similarly
There is no question that the food and drink were superb. But service was brisk, to put it kindly. We had indicated that this was a birthday dinner, so hoped it would be at a more stately pace. Oh well. I'll still come back for that great food -- at lunch.
Everything was wonderful! The restaurant looks beautiful — so inviting! The food and service were off the charts excellent! Kudos Jean-Georges!
We absolutely loved our first visit to JoJo and we will be back again and again. The passionfruit pavlova dessert was excellent.
The whole experience was delightful. The restaurant was elegant and chic, and it radiated such a welcoming and luxurious vibe. The service was incredible, and the food was fresh and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend it.
Meal was delicious and the service was outstanding! Love dining here.
Chick pea fries cold.. bread not amazing... chicken dish ho hum.. gloppy sauce.. meh
Outstanding FOOD!!! Service friendly... A little busy by the end of the meal, I recommend going early 5:30 or 6pm [I know I'm old lol]
In the first minutes I weren’t as receipted well as I expected. But as well as we get though, we were overall good receipted.
It was a great meal. Service attentive decor lovely and food outstanding including desserts
Great food...we had the chicken and duck...server was attentive and friendly. Tables are a little close in some parts of dining room (we ate downstairs) but there are booths, which I would request next time.
Anniversary, Excellent food and service, always.
The space got very noisy as the restaurant filled.
We loved this for lunch. Food was delicious and upstairs is very private
JoJo is a long-standing favorite and has never disappointed. On the last few occasions I was there for lunch with friends and these outings were unanimously enjoyed. The menu is enticing, with offerings at various price points, the food is uniformly delicious and presented with professionalism and grace in a bright and upbeat setting that's lively but not raucous. It is altogether a lovely restaurant for the neighborhood.
Delicious food and great service!
I had the chicken and my husband the beef. Both dishes were really tasty and delicious.
nice friendly staff in a lovely setting. tasty good food although strange problems with poached eggs being undercooked then replaced after a while with boiled eggs.
Menu was a bit limited on the night we ate here. More variety at lunch time I believe.
Wonderful and fresh.
Everything was delightful, until a whining dog was placed at the table next to us. I have dogs and cats, but I would never impose upon another diner by bringing my pet inside a restaurant. The host advised that the patron claimed the dog was a emotional support pet. A dubious claim based on their conduct, but giving them the benefit of the doubt, let's assume it was an emotional support dog. Why does that make it ok to place it next to me? I have no animal allergies, but others might. Others might not enjoy observing a dog lick itself while one is paying a significant price for a lunch. This is just an out of control situation.
Still great. Not sure about the sad pictures on the wall.
I thought my shrimp burger a little salty. My husband had the salmon, he loved it.
Everything about JoJo is a delight -- from the funky cocktail glasses to the scrumptious and comfort-food sized carrot cake. The food is inspired -- with exquisite details that will delight every sense. If you're looking for a high end, flirty cocktail with a lavish (albeit appropriately sized) dish to tempt you and yours -- this is the place. The staff is young and fun and the vibe is everything that's best about the UES -- smart, witty, and tastefully decadent in all the right ways. Highly recommend for birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, and New Years Eve!
This place was fantastic and we would definitely go back if we find ourselves in the city again!
Superb restaurant in every respect. Full but noise level low . Service exemplary in pace
Attentiveness.Food great: appetizers, mains(best duck ever) dessert and wine
So amazing went back within 2 days
JoJo is a beautiful spot in the UES. The ambiance and service were both perfect. We ordered the burger, which unfortunately, just didn't hit the spot, but we will still return to try something different because the place felt so warm and welcoming and bright!
We did have to wait half hour for our table, and the service was a little slow to start, but the staff could not have been sweeter or more professional (they bought us a round of drinks because of the wait), and the food was original, inventive, and delicious. The atmosphere was vivacious, happy. Jojo is a real American bistro, and most certainly worth returning to.
The staff were very pleasant but unfortunately it took forever (15 minutes +) to get a glass of water or coffee after sitting down. When it finally did arrive, both the coffee and the food was cold. We asked for a new pot of coffee and that took another 15 minutes to arrive. It was very disappointing.
Absolutely wonderful meal and outstanding staff love this place ... it’s a must
Delicious food. Interesting menu. Impeccable customer service. Will be back.
Lovely server, delicious food.
Food just ok . Ambience, service outstanding
Very dissatisfied, the steak was like someone poured an entire box of salt on it. I cant imagine how ownership can not sample that food entree and let it be on the menu. Horrible!!!
We were looking forward to Christmas dinner at JoJo. However, they were out of two entrees (my first and second choice), and a dessert (my first choice), out of the price fix choices they had for Christmas dinner. They did substitute lamb chops for a Wagyu tenderloin, and the lamb was good, but two other entrees (duck and salmon), lacked flavor. I get that it was Christmas and that prices would be higher, but from looking at JoJo's regular menu, it looks like they bumped the prices but didn't do much to the preparation other than would be done on any other night. Maybe I'd have recommended it on another night, but not at that price and not with that many items missing from their menu.
Christmas dinner - $108 pp prix fixe. They ran out(?) of bread so brought sandwich bread that set the wrong tone right out of the gate. Food was good but would have liked something special to mark the occasion- an amuse bouche or Christmas cookie. Felt like factory dining - maybe not a surprise for a holiday but I think more effort could be made when 2 people are getting a bill for almost $300. Would not make a tradition of JoJo at Xmas.
