Very pretty place. Butternut squash soup very good. Salads good, interesting dressings. Sandwiches were poor, very surprising how poor. Rolls not fresh, Chicken rubbery, aioli overpowering. French fries salty to the point of inedible. Shrimp sandwich was cold chopped shrimp w/ very little flavor. Expected a lot more
Excellent restaurant in a low key location on 64th street. Beautiful understated elegance and refined service delivers excellent food for a good value. Menu is short but very nice, look for their published daily specials of each day for even better choices. We will make it a regular when we are in the area.
A must go to place! Everything was perfection!
Recent makeover is a huge success. The restaurant feels kore modern and alive. The crowd was young UES trendy.
Food was cold and not tasty
Just a lovely, delicious, high-end casual place to have a family meal. Couldn't have been better.
Excellent food and service. Sat downstairs for the first time. Quiet and enjoyable. Great ambiance.
Impeccable service and great food in a beautiful townhouse setting. We enjoyed a thanksgiving meal— they had run out of the preferred desert- and the seating is tight- but I’d still go back.
My young adult son and I went to JoJo’s for thanksgiving dinner when our more traditional plans didn’t work out. Neither of us had been there before. What a delight!
Pre fix menu was very creative: he has the butternut squash soup, which he loved and I had a lovely broccoli and kale salad. I had lobster and he had beef. Small, beautiful and fantastically tasty, both. Dessert was apple pie and pecan pie, both served with a scoop of exceptional sorbets, both fantastic. My sole complaint was that my coffee was only like warm.
Service was excellent: friendly, but not in overly familiar, napkins were folded when one of us when to the rest room, crumbs were swept away, service was warm, swift, efficient and helpful.
The two floors of the small restaurant are creatively designed. Each little area seems to be different from the other, contemporary, yet warm and restful. Lightening very nice and flattering. It all felt beautiful to me. Noise level moderate, certain areas quieter than others, but this is New York. Good place for a first (and many more!) date.
Overall, very happy to have found this gem. Such a pleasant place, from the greeter to the coat check to the bus person. Food excellent. I will return
Thank you for a lovely thanksgiving.
I loved everything about this experience! The staff was friendly, the food was AMAZING, and the ambiance was so relaxing! I haven’t stopped talking about this restaurant since my visit!
Thanksgiving Dinner- rather ordinary...turkey, steak, lobster with fries, sea bass... prix fixe menu ... ending up costing $900 for a family of 5!!!
Service was lackadaisical ...ambience was more like a breakfast nook...
Really good food and ambience, we did feel like we were being rushed out as the service was ultra speedy as in soon as we had finished a course it was taken within seconds.
Delicious. Great ambiance and good service
Second year in a row having a birthday dinner here. Always lovely. Great service. Amazing food. Can’t wait to spend my next birthday here again
Bud girl grabbed our plates before we finished. Service very rushed
Its atmosphere is good. Cozy and comfy. Also interior is so beautiful. Very kind staff and great food. I really liked!
We had a table upstairs and as the restaurant wasn’t full that night, noise level was ok.
Great, charming waitress!!
Amazing ambiance. Great food and service.
Solid dining experience. Everything was very good but seemed to lack the usual GJ magic. Not sure why.
The food is really great here! I wish I could cook like this... The ingredients are super fresh and creatively combined. Wines by the glass were terrific as was the service. Can't wait to return!
Ever since the reno it’s too loud. Everything is still great.
Food and service were great. Noise level was high.
Staff, from host to our waitress, were so nice and amazing, very friendly and attentive. Food flavor was OUTSTANDING but portions were on the small side.
The food was amazing especially the butternut squash soup. Was one of the best soups I've ever had
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Jojo’s! This visit to NYC we joined them for brunch, and it was amazing! The place is kept impecably, service is top notch, and of course the food is fantastic!
My favorite restaurant, as always.
All perfect.
Serving was great. Food outstanding!
Clean food and delicious!
We went for 40th anniversary. This is Chef JGV first restaurant and it was delicious. The Manager Andrea and our server Natasha were outstanding
We had Brunch at JoJo's this past Sunday. It had been a while since we had been there. We live in Massachusetts. The restaurant has been remodeled and modernized. It needed it and it was done very tastefully. It did seem louder than I remembered it, but frankly, who cares. You don't go to JoJo's for the esthetics or the ambiance. You go to JoJo for the food. It takes a lot for a restaurant to impress me. I typically eat to live. Foodies live to eat. The food at JoJo is so sublime that it actually makes me want to live to go there again.
I love JoJo! The new look is fantastic and quality of food is incredible. One thing: the service, while extremely friendly and engaging, lacked a bit in ability to describe the menu. For example, when asked about the shrimp burger we were told it was “ground up shrimp and ‘sorta different’”. In fact, it was delicious - spiced perfectly and actually a butterflied piece of shrimp in the form of a burger. I make mention of this only by way of feedback. The team was wonderful from beginning until end and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
My wife and I have not been back to Jo Jo for over 10 years, we loved the remodel. And the staff, food, vibe better than ever. Thanks for a great night!! Will be back for lunch tomorrow, we can’t wait!!!
The service was very attentive and personable. Warm and inviting. Highly recommend and will go back.
We had a surprise birthday party for a friend, and the staff, service, and food were just terrific! Would highly recommend.
Beautiful restaurant with calm and relaxing decor. Service was outstanding and they made you feel so comfortable like eating at a friend's house. I love how the staff was all dressed casually, but it did not have a casual feel. It just felt so comfortable. Food was delicious.
It was a wonderful experience. Well run restaurant with courteous staff and efficient servers. The food was excellent. Very pretty and most of all delicious.
Excellent food and knowledgeable, friendly service.
We adored our meals at Jo Jos. Each dish was perfection from the lettuce wraps and salads to the entrees and desserts. Speaking of dessert, the passion fruit pavlova was to die for.
Simple elegance, unpretentious, inventive but uncomplicated delicious food. Service is efficient, warm and helpful. Wine selection is very good. Modern Scandinavian decor is lovely.
