Beautiful setting and amazing food. I took a new hire out to lunch here. The service was prompt and the setting was perfect! I had the kale and broccoli salad with broiled shrimp and he had a hamburger. It was delicious. Fries so good and 6 minute egg was perfection!
Delicious, great service, friendly, pretty room. Just a lovely dining experience.
Amazing food, amazing ppl
We had a great table upstairs. It was our first time back since they renovated and the new space is awesome. More contemporary and a fantastic space. The food hit it out of the park - truly.
Excellent food, nice ambience, ok drinks.
Nice restaurant, tables close to each other, outstanding service. Great appetizers but not surprised by the two dish main courses we order.
Great restaurant !
Food is excellent
Service is caring and friendly
Among the most gracious and gourmet-quality restaurants in NY. Not inexpensive, of course, but not astronomical by Manhattan standards.
Amazing food, staff professionalism, cozy atmosphere. Loved the place. Will definitely be going back!
I would definitely recommend JoJo for brunch. The food was excellent, prepared with the freshest ingredients, elevating classic French brunch menu options. The setting was serene, and made for a calming, enjoyable brunch. The service was above average, especially the matrie d'. I would go back again soon.
Jojo was always my only must go-to restaurant when visiting NYC. This was my first trip back since the renovation so I was truly excited to see an experience the new digs and menu. My wife and I were seated upstairs and, while not as warm and clubby as the prior space, was admittedly fresh and sophisticated with sunlight streaming through the large windows.
The lunch menu was the first real shock...a shadow of its former self with little to no resemblance of the past. Our starters were Asian-inspired dumplings and they were actually very nice - light and tastily soaked in chicken broth. From there it was down hill. My wife had a mixed green salad which was wilted and not on purpose, making it virtually inedible. For her main she chose the flatbread pizza starter wi5th goat cheese and nuts. This was edible, but lacking any real creativity or surprise flavors. I chose the fried Hake fish sandwich with fries. I could tell the instant my meal was set Down was it was not going to go well as I could smell it across the room. I managed to choke down about a third of the sandwich. The best part of our combined meals were the dumplings and French fries. Never have I been more disappointed in a change in any restaurant than JoJo. Unfortunately, its8 unlikely we’’I’ll be back to this now glorified sandwich shop.
Absolute go-to, would recommend in a heartbeat
I love JoJo. However, since the redo it is far to noisy.
Terrible service. Wait staff was quite sufficient but stood together chatting and ignored most diners/ guests.
Zero professionalism! As I am a local , residing in the neighborhood bumped into friends who although sat in a different location in the restaurant ( upstairs) had the same
Food very good, but with so many choices in the neighborhood why on earth would anyone come here?
The location is inside a charming townhouse. Staff is excellent and the food, even if I opted for only vegetarian dishes, is very well done.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and good service.
Cute and cozy restaurant with a tiniest bar ever. The atmosphere is great and so is the service. We loved the dessert which was a caramel/toffee based cream, however the rest of the dishes were rather average. My husband found his tuna tartare to be tad dry as it comes with no sauce, while my duck breast's flavor was bland, came cooked medium rather than medium rare and the skin was not as crispy as it could have been.
Overall great experience. First time I dined at JoJo was 14 years ago and seems to get better each year. The food is outstanding, clean bright flavors. Had the Bass which was perfect with the buttermilk-poppy seed sauce. Can’t miss with the Waygu Tenderloin again outstanding product treated with care and precision.
Impeccable! The food, service and ambience- everything was one great experience!
Expensive but excellent food and service
I have been going to JoJo from its earliest days so have seen a few incarnations but the level of cooking has siesta been excellent.
My meal the other night was not up to previous experiences. My chicken entree was only lukewarm.
Our server asked if I would like my apple pie heated up and then it arrived cold(room temperature). It doesn’t compare to the other wonderful desserts.. I’m happy the old standbys are available on different days of the week .
We did have an attentive server .
Delicious good and great service. Beautiful decor- very serene environment.
Quality food, great ambience and attentive service. Checks out on the trifecta of a good restaurant. Thanks for the lovely dinner JoJo!
What happened to this dependably good restaurant? Even the signature chicken dish was very different , not in a good way. Wine list is limited and mediocre. Service is friendly but overwhelmed. The changed decor is down market and makes noise levels much worse. The is nothing improved. There is nothing not worse. There is no reason to go back.
Not the jean georges food I’m use to. Below average.
we had an amazing experience. I did not expect much but it was very good. the food was great and the service special. I recommend!!!
Super! Great overall experience.
Jojo is an excellent restaurant. Entire staff very attentive without hovering. Easy to get attention. Server very knowledgeable re menu.
Good service and food quality. Beeare of Large dessert portions—best to share!
Very nice , welcoming .
Broccoli soup is Amaizing , I would have it everyday !
Chicken was perfect
Delicious. Happy atmosphere
Adorable Townhouse...Great food.... I recommend for any occasion ... A++++
Service was excellent , entry and bar area is very small makes your arrival and check in very uncomfortable
I miss my old jo jo style.
Nice space, but at brunch the upstairs was loud. It’s a small, cute space, but the walls don’t absorb the sound, so once the place fills up it’s a cacophony and it can be hard to hear.
Wonderful, but the noise level is a bit much.
Excellent for a refine lunch or dinner! Special spot in the UES
Very impressive. Outstanding food and service. The salmon entree was the best I have ever eaten. My wife's chicken dish was fantastic! Rochelle, our server, was professional and extremely personable which made our dining experience excellent.
We're foodies and this was absolutely one of the best meals that I've ever had. My duck was outstanding. Companions and salmon and cod. Comment from one, "This is the best cod I've ever eaten."
