Any time I get the opportunity to eat at a Vongerichten restaurant I’ll never pass it up. JoJo is a lovely place to dine, enhanced by the Maestro’s signature deft preparations and first rate service. Our server Melanie was charming, unobtrusive and professional, and added considerably to our experience. I’ve eaten here many times, and always look forward to returning. A first rate experience.

We loved the ambience - a subdued elegance that was soothing and classy! The salmon we had was divine; it melted in our mouths. The flavor just perfect, combined with the maitake mushrooms and the mustard greens. We will definitely return to Jojo. Such a jewel! I took my goddaughter visiting from Portugal and she loved it!

I have had dinner at JoJo many times and have always been so impressed by the food and the service. This time was different though. While tasty, our entree arrived undercooked and uninteresting. The kitchen did change that for us, but the entree was only soso, with the salmon tasting a bit fishy and old. The salad arrived with too much dressing and was excessively vinegary. I will definitely go back, but was very surprised this time.

Excellent food and intimate atmosphere. Layout was quaint which made it a little noisier and forced the staff to run around quite a bit, but overall experience was outstanding. Food was well portioned and delicious. Would highly recommend

Too loud. Could not hear a word of conversation. Was not crazy about the selected wine but server said policy was not to take back opened wine. Been eating in nyc restaurants for 50 years. First time to want to return wine. Was surprised at policy.

Food is very good, however, when there is something wrong, they can’t fix it in time. This is our second time at the restaurant. First time, they overcooked my fish. It took more than 20 minutes to come up with another dish. This time it was duck. I requested medium-rare but it was medium. I sent back to the kitchen but it was taking so long that everyone in the table had already finished their food, so I canceled my order. I truly do not understand why they cannot organize better. It is pity because food is good but we will not go back.
