First time coming to this restaurant and will NOT be my last. Took my family out for my niece’s graduation dinner last minute plan but extremely worth it. Environment is clean and there is parking in the rear which is a huge plus. Walked in and warmly greeted.
Our servers, Lara and Patricia, were amazing. Made us feel like VIPs. The food was equally amazing. Everyone’s entree did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Picanha or the stuffed salmon. Drinks were also soo good. Spicy Paloma, I’d highly recommend as well.
Run away. Not nearly an option in lieu of Ironbound. I made reservations about2 1/2 hours prior to a Red Bull game down the street. Mainly based on the reviews and the menu.
Arriving was fine. The place wasn't very crowded, about 5 pm, and we were seated fairly quickly.
After that, it was like we didn't exist. It took about 15 minutes to get a waitress - and that was after a table next to us complained to the manager, and we flagged him down next.
I'll also note that we didn't have water or utensils or anything yet.
Finally, the waitress comes by and asks for our order. We said drinks would be great, including water. And that we were likely going with paella. She said we should put that in with the drinks because it takes a little bit to make. Fine, great.
About 10 minutes later, she comes back. No water yet. No drinks. And to tell us that because it's a "game day" they don't make the paella.
Ummm... it's like the first thing on the online menu. And they make no mention of this online or making a reservation.
But, kind of stuck now.. what else do they have?
We order an appetizer and our meals before she leaves us again.
Now, we've been sitting for 40 minutes. No place settings. No water. No drinks. No napkins. No bread. Empty table.
And the appetizer comes. Ha! How do we eat this? Also, I'm THIRSTY. I actually go up to the bar myself and get two glasses of water. The waitress sees me, argues a little with the guy who brought our apps, and then appears with our drinks and forks and knives. And napkins.
The calamari was good, yes. The rest of the meal, eh. I mean, I could not get rice with some mixed meat dish they had. I asked a few different ways. No, they had no rice. My wife had the salmon. It was dry and kind of tasteless. It came with rice.
The table next to us had little kids who never got drinks. They gave up and refused to pay and left.
No comp/apology was given to us, even after the manager came by.
Excellent meal in a beautiful restaurant. The Sangria was delicious! We will definitely be back!
The service was good, the food was very good, hot, and came quick. My husband took me here for Mother's Day. I was hoping to get the Surf & Turf, but they had a limited menu for the day. We had the Prime Rib. It was enormous!! It was done perfectly, very tasty and actually made 2 meals for us. We will definitely come again.
Food was fantastic, got there early enough to have a decent conversation with my date. Overall was a fantastic experience
It was our first time and we loved everything.
Third time there and they always seem to exceed our expectations. Took good friends there this past Saturday and they absolutely loved it. Food was so yummy, Carla's attentive service was impeccable. We had a very lovely night after a super hectic week of work and life responsibilities. Great Job!
V, the Bartender REALLY went out of her way to ensure EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.
While the Owner/manager did the same, ensuring that everyone was happy. Food was AMAZING! Geez!!! Get the Peanut Butter Explosion for sure!
Love it everything was good, and food was delicious
our second visit there - very enjoyable again- food was excellent -
Food was sub par
This is definitely a new favorite! Space was good for social distancing with a large dining room and tables well spread out. Was fairly loud, as a a large open space tends to echo a bit- but mostly because there was a large group celebrating very emphatically :) Service was phenomenal, everyone was very attentive and the owner or manager (not sure exactly) checked on us a few times, as did other servers aside from ours, all very friendly. Cocktails are delicious (I had 2). We started with the chorizo, which comes out flaming and our server cut it tableside. I ordered the seafood linguine special- HUGE with half a lobster and tons of seafood, delicious wine sauce. My husband ordered the picanha, which was cut at the table a few slices at a time, then taken back to roast more. After 2 or 3 rounds of this, he tapped out. Everything we ate was so delicious and we took a lot of leftovers home, since the portions are so generous. No room for dessert, but will definitely be back to try!
Food is always excellent and the owners are lovely and attentive.
With a raucous Saturday crowd, it was a bit hard to have conversations, but beyond that, the mealwas excellent. We both had amaretto sours, which were perfect. She had the stuffed lobster and raved about it, devouring the enormous plate completely, which is something for a 99 pound person. My pork loin was tasty, with great seasoning, perhaps cooked a hint more than i would prefer, but still juicy and delicious. The food is a bit pricey for the area, but the cheap drinks makes up for it.
Joia is a great new restaurant in Harrison with great food and service and really good Sangria
We arrived at the restaurant and no one was dining - it was 8 pm on Saturday evening. The waitress was very attentive. We ordered appetizers and entrees. The food was very disappointing. The octopus was tough and over cooked, the calamari seemed to be previously frozen and the paella was mostly rice with hardly any flavor and over cooked fish. The Sangria was good but we were served beer that was flat. It was a very expensive dinner that we didn’t finish. Restaurant could be promising if the food improves significantly.
The appetizers I had were very tasty and full of flavor so I was pretty disappointed by the snapper special. The fish was was very dry and there wasn't much seasoning or flavor.
Great for dinner after event at Red Bull Stadium - great portions for the price!!
Friendly and welcoming staff. Very attentive throughout the meal. Great Sangria! Stuffed mushrooms were very good. Calamari was a bit rubbery. Meals came with tons of sides. We took food home; couldn't finish; We didn't have dessert because we were too full, but the dessert menu looked really nice. Casual atmosphere. Lots of T.V.s for sports fans. Free parking in enclosed garage next door. Very clean rest rooms.
