No ice bucket to keep our prosecco chilled. Waitress did not know how to open the bottle. I had to show her. Needed to ask many times for items like butter for bread, sour cream for baked potato. Waitress was not very experienced.

We love to sit in the bar and enjoy a martini or glass of wine. Service is fantastic. Our menu favorites are the Toasted Ravioli, Zucchini Fries, Angel Hair Basilic, and Veal Rosa. Never disappoints and continues to be a family favorite.

I was disappointed. I lived in Des Moines a long time ago and used to go to Johnny’s Vet Club and then Johnny’s Steakhouse so thought it would be comparable. I really was looking forward to it. We received our salad and after a few bites, the entree arrived. Still the wine had not made it. Finally, the wine arrived. First time we have not had wine opened at the table. We ordered tiramisu and not our favorite..very dry. Liked the ambiance and the waitress was nice but for $192, hmmm. Felt very rushed and it was not busy at all. It was Sunday at 4:30.

We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server arrived and took our drink order. The appetizers were well paced and very good: spinach dip and calamari. we ordered four entrees - one for each of us. We had risotto, beef Wellington, Steak Diane, and pasta with seafood. All of us enjoyed our entrees. We will return to this restaurant.

The food was great. Our 2nd time there and will probably return again. The food was great and very affordable. Our meal for a party of two was under $100 which included steaks a drink and tip. Our waitress was extremely busy So not as attentive as she could have been , but very polite and apologetic.

We celebrated Father's Day at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. This was my FIL & MIL first time at Johnny's. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food and the drinks. We had a lovely time celebrating not only my husband, but also my FIL. The food was outstanding, the drinks were delicious & we had excellent conversation. My FIL felt so special. I think it was the individual care our waitress gave him too. Thanks Johnny's for a great evening. We will be back.

I have been here many times for being a steakhouse the food is very inconsistent and 50% of the time I have to send back my steak for not being cooked properly . Last nights experience was not enjoyable, food wasn’t great and we had a lot of service issues. When I spoke with the manager she was very loud and gave me a lot of excuse’s in stead of just saying I am sorry and being understanding to my concerns .

Went for our wedding anniversary expecting a special meal. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we made the reservation. No acknowledgement of the occasion on check in. We were seated right next to a curtain which turned out to be separating the hotel lobby. Noise from the lobby and the rather loud Italian-ish music made the noise level was high. Booths were comfortable. Liked being away from other diners. Service was rushed. Really rushed. Like we were asked for an appetizers order before we even had time to look at the menu and order a drink. They definitely wanted to turn a table. We had a bruschetta starter that was a couple of thin grilled slices of Italian bread with a smear of goat cheese and some chopped tomatoes and onions on top. It was okay. Soggy bread. Needed salt. We ordered steaks with special sides (sage mushrooms and a nicer salad). Steaks were pretty good and done to order. Hubby liked the cream sauce. Baked potato burned to a crisp on the bottom -inside was not edible. The house salad was fresh and came with balsamic that we used with the bread instead of the sticky bottle of olive oil and very old cheese in a dirty container with a commonly used spoon sitting out on the table that the waitstaff told us was for the bread. Our entree plates were swept away as soon as our forks hit the table. The dessert tray came out one minute after our entree plates were removed. Before dessert was on the table, our check was handed to us and when I moved the check to the other side of the table the server pounced on it thinking I’d put my credit card in it. BTW, this was a 6:30 pm reservation so no excuse. So rushed. Desserts not great. Chocolate mousse cake -cake on the bottom was dry. The turtle cheesecake was identical to Costco. Drinks were fine. Whole meal was one cocktail each, split app, entree each, dessert each, one wine, one bottled water with tip $180. Out of there in 45 minutes. Not worth it. Nothing special.

Food was nothing special , steak was dry , chicken parmigiana was weak , and the bottle of wine that came with dinner was a 8 dollar screw top . Fettuccine was good , lemon cake was ok . Date night package was supposed to be 75 dollars , turned into 87 ?

Just ok. Not sure I will go back. Wouldn’t rave about it. Service was the best part of the night. I don’t want to slam them, but I was disappointed with my meal and it’s the second time now…

Olive oil glass was dirty. Martini glasses had water spots as well as the silverware. Not a very clean place.
