Lovely setting, good seafood, nice server and a beautiful sunset
The out side patio and bar was perfect and has a view of the water. You can watch the colors of sunset from some of the seats. The service was great. We had someone that was on crutches and they were kind enough to sit us out of the way so she could put her leg up.
The food was good. Lots of options. If you are pescatarian or vegetarian you will find several options.
Place was nice. Great patio. Server was nice. Busy. The food wasn’t great. I really didn’t like anything. It was just OK and did it have much flavor. My lamb was tasteless. Had to add a lot of salt lol.
Indoor decor bland, corporate, and depressing. Outside dining much better. Food tasted like banquet cuisine but moderately priced. Would not choose if not staying at hotel.
It wasn’t quite the atmosphere we expected when dining in Middletown. The food was adequate - nothing special but the service was outstanding and our waitress was attentive, funny and kind!
Beautiful venue - ate outside and the view over First Beach was fantastic. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Portions enormous. Excellent!
Understaffedw but so is everyone these days. Our server did a fantastic job despite the number of tables she had. Food was average, had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. Beans were cooked perfectly except for one sad gray-green pod and unfortunately drenched in butter. Potatoes on the dry side and meatloaf a bit bland. Clam chowder was watery and tasted distinctly of chicken broth. Chocolate cake was dense and dry. Hubby had a turkey club which he enjoyed. Price was decent but atmosphere reminded us of eating in a cafeteria. Don’t think we’ll visit again.
Nice open patio. Clam chowder all potatoes! Lobster roll and Caesar salad pretty good. Excellent waitstaff - attentive and friendly.
Can dance is an amazing server ! She always makes our experience special ! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Didn’t know restaurant was in a chain hotel. Nothing special.
Great food, great service, great location!
Our services Brianna was outstanding & the whole was very nice too. Highly recommend very good.
Food was delicious and the service was terrific. Was a bit apprehensive as it is a restaurant at a hotel. But it was fabulous.
I realize everyone is under staffed, but we waited a long time to get served and then a long time for food to arrive. Even then, appetizers and main courses all came out at once. Food was good, not great.
It was great to eat in the patio and listen to the music by Phenix Ave.
Why ask the question, “how would you like your steak cooked?” And when it comes, it is too over cooked for Medium Rare?!? We waited a long time for our meals to come out so I did not ask for it to be redone. The rest of our meals were fine, raw oysters app and salads and other entree of scallops but nothing to rave about.
Waitress was attentive, outdoor patio seating was very nice and noise was not a factor as we were outside. Our scotch cocktail order was the last of the bartender’s supply but she kindly went to the inside bar to get another bottle to refill our glasses for us. Much appreciated!
Dined there for convenience since we were staying there but would not dine there otherwise.
Food was good, service was good. Nice place to eat at the hotel.
The food was very good . I would not know of this place unless i read the positive reviews. The location is within the hotel and spacious. . A little pricey and the entrees don’t Come with salad or soup. I would come again :)
Beautiful views, a great menu, and excellent service
Delicious food, Sarah ,our waiter was very professional
Great place to eat, outstanding service and server.
Absolutely horrible. Food took over an hour to come out. Had to send it back twice. We also saw multiple other tables returning their food. I would never go back.
Third anniversary dinner with wedding party. We were very late and they graciously accommodated us. The chef kept the kitchen open for us and the food was excellent.
We went for the brunch buffet which is delicious. We also got yummy frozen drinks. Our waitress checked on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything.
Horrible, too bad to even write a review. Do not eat here
Terrible band very loud food fair at best Would not go back again
The service was impeccable! Thank you Maria!!
We had a delicious dinner and great entertainment.
Went there based on OpenTable overall ratings review, but it was a bad decision. Our waitress was excellent, no complaints at all. The resataurant is called "Johnny's at the Atlantic Resort" on Open Table, but it is called "Johnny's Restaurant & Patio Bar" on Google. The menu was different than the one provided on the website, and it did not provide some of the selections that led us to make the reservation. Lobster bisque was available, even though it was not on the restaurant's menu, but it was nothing at all like a bisque - it was returned immediately witout consuming it. The caesar salad was below average and the added salmon was overcooked. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal. I cannot recommend it.
Nice terrace. Reasonable service and ordinary menu.
we ate outside and the food was great but service and food timing out of the kitchen was just ok.
We enjoy the variety of seating available. We tried the salads. The three of us had something different. The Greek looked great. The kale looked great. The quinoa was a bit odd. Thought it would be more of a bowl or chopped. It looked like a jello mold from the 60s.
Disappointing. The restaurant has no views though the hotel has views. The fish and chips seemed to be frozen fish. Wouldn’t recommend this place as you will eat in a lobby of an ok hotel when there are so many great restaurants in Newport.
Most extensive seafood menus e er
Service was great, drinks were watered down, food was just OK. Wont be rushing back any time soon.
Lovely environment- our Waitress was wonderful. We had a good meal.
Very delayed service, very overcooked pork tenderloin, but nice ambiance.
Service and food were fantastic. We will gladly return here again in the future.
We ordered the clam cakes as an appetizer, they were large and we enjoyed them. The caesar salad would have been good if the salad dressing had any flavor at all. After tasting it we ordered a side of dressing thinking there was just not enough on the salad but the dressing itself was just flavorless. The kale salad's dressing didn't have much flavor either and the slices of apple were so small you couldn't taste them. The chicken on the salad was fine, not dried out. The lamb chop dinner was enjoyed and cooked perfectly. Every time my husband wants lamb we come here.
Nothing special about this place. The service, the food and the ambience were just okay. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.
