Johnny Manhattan's

We started off at the bar and enjoyed our drinks. We then wanted to be seated and got sat at a lovely table. Our server appeared and seemed nice. She took our appetizer order and put it in. Someone else brought it out to us and it was a good half hour before we even saw our server again. She didnt bring us any bread. We recieve a relish tray and salami but nothing else. I finally had a manager come over to speak to them because at this point I was ready to get up and leave. It was a good 45 to 50 minutes before we even put in our main order!!! We only get an hour and a half at the table due to limited seating. So basically we had to rush through eating our food. By the time we recieved our food we weren't even hungry anymore just very annoyed. So we ate a little then had it packed up so we could just leave. We wont be back. The service was terrible, the managers stood behind the host stand and weren't seen on the floor at all. When all was said and done the manager took a $7 drink off our order that she had to get for us and we weren't expecting to be on the bill anyways and it wasnt even the right drink. My fiance ordered a captain and coke and she brought him a captin white and coke instead of captain spice rum. And our server didnt even close out our tab the manager did. It was just all around bad.

First visit that we found the food less than appetizing. Ribs over done and quite dry. The scallops, (one of the nightly specials) were quite tasteless. Cocktails were weak. This was our first "not so good" experience at Johnny Manhattan's. I guess it can happen but we've come to expect significantly better from this restaurant.

The food was fantastic and the service was great! I had the special which was the scallops and my husband had the ribeye which was recommended. We will absolutely go back!

Family father’s day gathering so impressed with the smaller dining rooms loved the privacy our server Noah was exceptional food was good our group of seven had a wonderful dinner thanks for hosting

Anniversary

Great place. Food is pricy but good. Kitchen forgot the potatoes with my order. Got them after I was pretty much finished. Overall good though. Loved our waiter....chuy

Tables are packed in to maximize space and unable to talk across table. Waitress
seemed new and would drop what she was doing for us when jerk at next table
wanted service.

Excellent food. We tried the deep fried deviled eggs as an appetizer. They were unique and quite tasty.

The veal was cooked perfectly. The steaks were great.

A group of us went last Saturday night for dinner there were six of us we had reservations they were on time seating us The place is absolutely gorgeous on the inside, don’t let the front of the building fool you.
Everyone loved their meal. My son-in-law who has been there many times said I had to get the pork chops they were the best I have ever had. I can’t wait to go back.

The potato side was a little oily. Salad was decent but too much iceberg lettuce. Our server Nancy was excellent!

First time at Johnny Manhattan's and what a treat. We order the deep fried calamari as an appetizer and it was the best! It was lightly breaded, not oily and the calamari was not rubbery. The portion they gave you was a nice size and plenty for the two of us.

My husband ordered a steak and I ordered a pork entree from their menu. Both of our dinners were outstanding and we had plenty left over for another meal.

The service was wonderful, thank you Julie for taking such good care of us and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be back. We have heard great things about their pizza, can't wait to try that.

Johnny Manhattan's is my go-to place when I have visitors. Ability to dine in a lovely atmosphere where great food is available in all price ranges for all tastes

Server was slow and didn’t come back to check for drinks for 45 minutes. Took over an hour for food and they weren’t that busy

Reservation made for 8pm didn't get seated until 8:45. Ordered the scallops they were not properly cleans so it was a sand filled disaster, my SO rib eye was really fatty, not what I would of paid that much for. I am giving them a break for 6 months maybe a year. They went from outstanding to sub-par.

We had a table for 9 in the side room. There seemed to be a long gap between ordering our food and when it came to the table. Baked potato was dry and food was overpriced for value.

JM's is our go to for great food, service, and atmosphere. While you may pay a bit more --- it is well worth the experience. We LOVE Johnny Manhattans...

We had a lovely time and enjoyed delicious foods, some with plentiful portions.
Noah, our server, was very entertaining and attentive, and strived to insure our
meal and experience was to be a good one. This was our first time to the restaurant
and it won't be our last!

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Johnny Manhattan’s on Saturday night. Wow! I was blown away by the supper club vibe in the north woods atmosphere. Our server Margo was perfect for our group of eight. She was attentive and quippy, an ideal person for our crowd. Drinks were a little pricey, but the food was worth every penny. I hope to be back again for the next special occasion!

Great ambiance and service! Disappointed with my scallops and risotto. The scallops were a little overdone and the risotto was crunchy. My daughter's chicken sandwich was greasy and bland. My son and husband liked their ribs.

Best Prime Rib around. Service is outstanding and price is reasonable

Will definetly try it again. Service was excellent, food was very good. One of the appetizers was over done, the prime rib a little dry and lacking seasoning, for my tastes. However, I'm going to give it another go, just maybe try something other than the prime rib.

great atmosphere...friendly staff and wonderful food...we celebrated a birthday and had a special night...we highly reccomend this establishment.

It’s a cozy place with a great wine selection although their champagne offerings could be better both by the glass and the bottle. I had the seared tuna appetizer which was delicious although the lamb chops for my main course were cooked unevenly - half the rack was well done and the other was raw and it was missing the Demi glacé. I ordered it medium which was disappointing as I did not enjoy my meal. Perhaps I’ll go back and give it another try.
