Joey M’s La Piazza Cucina
We dine at Joey M’s La Piazza Cucina every time we are in Wildwood, and we feel at home there!
The food is great and the service is wonderful from the minute you walk in. Definitely a do not miss location!
We both had the gnocchi, which was very good. All the food was tasty and well-prepared. I had sausage with my gnocchi, which tasted homemade. The salad was crisp and had just the right amount of "fixings" with it. Rum cake and cappuccino topped off a delightful dinner. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly.
This was our 1st time here and it was a terrific experience. Wonderful food, wine 7 service. Very satisfied.
Overall great food, nice service, and interesting atmosphere. Decor leaves much to be desired. What is the theme???
Had a great time. Food was amazing. Server was really nice and very handsome too. 😀
This was our first time eating at Joey M's, the food was amazing, our waiter took his time to explain the different dishes to us and our night ended with so much fun dancing and listening to the entertainment. We will return for sure!
Best Italian food in the area. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was amazing.
Entrees were no better than local pizza place. Only a few tables occupied when we arrived, so service started out fine. As restaurant became more crowded, service went sharply down hill.
The food was fabulous. Unfortunately the night we went was rainy and a large party that was supposed to be outside had to be moved inside. Even though we had reservations we were shoved into a very small table by the door and the noise level made conversation impossible.
We will try it again and hopefully have a better experience.
Best italian food in wildwood
Food was excellent and Candice was a perfect waitress and well well suited all our questions. Will go again, and thank you for the experiance
We love this restaurant , food, service is always excellent you even need a reservation during off season it's a truly loved restaurant that treats you as family
Very nice surprise finding such a nice place very close to the boardwalk. Food was excellent from the complementary rolls with oil and peppers to dip as well as butter. We had the shrimp and scallops caprese which was prepared perfectly. This was not a regular menu item but one of the evening specials. We were greeted and seated immediately and the courses were delivered with perfect timing.
On vacation. Our kids said try this restaurant. We thought it was great. I had the seafood special. Excellent. We will definitely come back.
Food was excellent. Service was good. Decor was definitely different - old school Wildwood Italian. Our only complaint was the extremely loud music in their courtyard which echoed thru the restaurant every time someone opened the door. Would have preferred some nice, quieter dinner music.
Took my family to dinner while on vacation and was disappointed in the food. To much sauce on the pasta and the steak was not cooked properly, joey M is a great guy but more investment in the food preparation needs to be done
The chicken Parmesan was pounded a bit too thin so therefore a bit tough. Service great. Everything else great
We had to ask for service. My hubby got the wrong meal twice. My veal was burned. They were out of things. They offered me another meal which I didn’t get. All I had for dinner was cannolis. It was my birthday and they spoiled it for me. Won’t be going back!
The staff was so nice and so helpful. It was our first time there and we loved it! The gnocchi was the best I've tasted at a restaurant:>) Loved the music, too!
Party of four with a same day reservation. We had a short wait when we arrived. We sat inside at the bar next door. There is a symbiotic relationship going on here with the liquor license. You revive two bills, one for food and one for booze. It’s not an inconvenience. Appetizer special of fried meatballs and Sicilian calamari were both tops. We all had pasta and each one was better than the next. My favorite was the gnocchi in garlic with spinach. They comped a dessert for our anniversary which was unexpected and very nice of them. This is not my first time here but my first review. We have never had a bad dinner at this restaurant!
Great food and service, a must if you are in Wildwood.
We have been to each of the 3 Joey M restaurant moves. We have always had very good and skilled service. This time was no exception Candince was terrific.
The food was good as always. However the calamari was not as spicy as we have had it before but still good. The house salad dressing was good. Our entree’s were as good as we remembered from the past.
The room was clean but a bit stark. Not the warmth that the first pace hard.
Enjoyed dining at Joey M’s. The food was excellent. The entertainment was great. Service was exceptional and Joey asked if everything was good. Parking was free. Would return in a heartbeat 💗
Although our table was very small the hostess actually suggested that we may like to be seated there to stay a little away from a very large group with children. Overall that was good advice. Our server Trisha was excellent and the food was very good. We will go back and take along friends.
Always A Great Meal... And Your Host and Owner will always sing you a Sinatra Tune... Love Joey M's La Piazza Cucina
Great food. Great mom and pop old world vibe. I half expected to get whacked and I mean that as a compliment! Excellent. Don’t miss.
Not what it used to be at the old location with the owner cooking on channel 13. The owner seems to be more concerned with singing with the band than he is with the food or especially the customer experience. He’s just not very nice or hospitable. Dining room is very loud because of the swinging door to the courtyard. I’d recommend this place to someone in the over 70 set who wants to dance more than anyone who wants good italian food.
Not as good as it used to be.
Great food. Veal Siciliano, Spaghetti w/ white clam, shrimp scampi, & penne w/ vodka blush all outstanding. Also had gluten free pasta for my nephew. Great place for last night out at the shore.
Food was awesome. Service, it was way too busy for the staff they had. Took too long to get food, rolls, drinks.
Great experience. Would definitely go back next time in Wildwood.
