I love Joey D’s. It’s always excellent.
Great food, great service, intimate atmosphere
Our waitress was fantastic it on the ball the whole time!
This place has the ability to be awesome instead its Just ok at best, the food is horrible. Low quality and cooks don’t listen to the wait staff. The service and Wait staff are fantastic.
Great place if you are going for drinks, and going to eat at another location.
I have been going to Joey D's for over 20 years. Last night's experience was by far not the typical experience. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. A few things... We did not have a server, the bartender and whoever else we could catch waited on us. Salad came out without any dressing. We were served the wrong appetizer, the correct one came out but was sub par. Chargrilled Oysters were piece of oysters. Not one whole oyster. I sent them back and they were removed from our bill. Crab fingers we so full of garlic and spices you couldn't taste the crab.. and they had a funny smell. We did not come close to finishing. Martini was weak. Like I said it was sub par, may have been having a bad night but with so many amazing restaurants in the area, I think I will spread the love next time instead of automatically choosing Joey D's.
Hi Chris, Thanks for your continued support for the 20 years you have been dinning and I am extremely sorry we didn't deliver a great experience when you dined with us. As you know this isn't customary for us. I would like to invite you back in for dinner. Please feel free to reach out to me as I would like to also to talk to you in depth. Thanks again for you support. Devan Johnson Operating Partner email@example.com
Everything was good except our server. Erika seemed like she couldn’t get rid of us soon enough. After waiting for her to make her first stop by the table for over 10 minutes we were hoping things would get better. They did not. After we finished our meal and were discussing dessert Erika dropped off our check so we assumed were done and left
Good food Ana drinks
We should have stopped at the calamari. Very disappointed in the salad entree and the Ruben. Seems like the quality has really gone downhill. Our server was nice.
We had the shrimp with pasta, the Georgia Mtn trout (blackened - Mmmmm!), and the Filet Mignon. Absolutely wonderful!
We arrived before the dinner crowd and was seated immediately in a social distanced section of the restaurant. We ordered the chargrilled oysters, garlic crab claws and onion loaf appetizers. The chargrilled oysters were disappointing. The only thing that was chargrilled was the cheese. The shells were removed and 6 oysters placed in ceramic dish covered with a large amount of cheese, maybe some garlic and placed in oven or on top of grill to melt the cheese. The other appetizers were good along with our entrees. My ribeye with garlic butter was delicious. The service and ambience was top notch.
Our server was great but could have checked on us a few more times.
Everything was excellent. Service was fantastic. Did was great. Nice evening!
This was our first encounter at Joey D's. Delicious food, and was a nice festive environment to celebrate our son's 23rd birthday! Of course the bar display is very impressive, the meatball appetizer was awesome, and trout entrees delicious! Waiter treated him to a decadent birthday brownie a la mode with a candle, which topped off a very nice evening. We'll visit again!
Great place. Good for business meetings. Very accomodating. Food is good and quick.
Fantastic service, food and ambiance! Highly recommend.
When you call and ask what soup of the day and they tell you what you want and then you get there and you are told they do not have it. This has happened at least 4 times
Bartender and server were very friendly and accommodating.
I really like the space, a nice place to grab a drink.
The biggest problem was the food. We ordered the baked oysters to start. We each had one and spent the next 5 minutes trying to chew it. Without a hesitation; the worst I’ve ever had.
Next was the lasagna... the plate looked great. But once I dug in, I was disappointed. There was sooo much cheese it made the dish nearly inedible. Again, extremely gummy dish.
I liked the ambience but this will be a place for pre-dinner drinks.
It's better than average. Nothing amazing and nothing terrible. Not many gluten free options/accommodations if that's what you need. I would not recommend the oysters. Did not taste fresh. The steak salads were good. Kids menu is available upon request, nothing healthy like fish, steak or grilled options though. Cocktails were good, but had to wait a long time to get them when restaurant was only 1/4 full, if that.
I’m sorry but after 30 years as our favorite restaurant, we are taking Joey ds off our list. We’ve eaten there 3 times since COVId and all three meals were disappointing. Food wasn’t cook right. Service was bad and the servers were just downright uninformed of the menus or how to treat customers. This is supposed to be a premier restaurant and the wait staff comes from Golden Corral.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback regarding your experiences with us. I apologize about these issues and not deliver the stellar experience you have had in the past. I would love to get more insight so that we can correct the issues with service/ food, so that you could give us another opportunity. Devan Johnson Operating Partner firstname.lastname@example.org
Everything was fabulous!!
When we arrived, it seemed Joey D’s was honoring pandemic protocol. As the evening grew later, people were seated in booths make your customers & staff • a primary concern.
As usual, the food and the service was awesome, especially the croissants and crab claws.
VERY ROMANTIC!!! My partners steak was delicious! I hated my entree....tasted like ravioli.....I wish I ordered the steak.....
We enjoyed the evening as the restaurant is soooo nice and romantic. They were social distancing and very clean. A little crowded...but I felt safe.
Date evening with spouse
Enjoyed dining at this place, the food was amazing. The service staff was attentive and cool. The drink selection, wow wow. I was in awe sitting at the bar, i couldn't believe the tower of various liquors/spirits, a ladder is needed (literally), LOL. I'm definitely returning.
As always Joey D's was amazing! Great food and the Pink Drink was excellent. Outstanding Service.
Dinner in a COVID world can be tricky. Paper and phone app menus and no change of silverware between courses ( I asked for new fork) The Wine list could be more robust, however I found a nice Cab ( a little pricy) I would bet they were still catching up from being closed in the hight of COVID, but don't hold that against them.
I mostly enjoyed this well established restaurant. Eating outside was very pleasant due to a great weather night and being more quiet for conversation.
the only blemish was the a little rushed from our waitress, we just don't like to be rushing our order all at once. Don't get me wrong, service was not lacking- maybe she had too many tables. Skip the Calamari but try the house-made meatballs
Wife got Filet and I got the Bone-in Ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly, and had to take home leftovers! This place is in the heart of steak houses in Perimeter. Lots of choices and we were not disappointed during our first visit. Save room and get the Key Lime! Top 10 in my opinion.
We will be back.
My experience there was outstanding. Will be back soon.
I had a reservation and I was seated immediately upon arrival. The receptionist's attitude was great. The waiter was very professional and took his time to explain the menu and their specials. My overall experience was EXCELLENT. I will definitely go back.
Food was great and we sat outside on a nice day.
Great food great server - not very coordinated at the host stand about my reservation or my request to sit outside. Looking forward to my next great meal at zJoey D’s
The cocktail Negroni was one of the best I had and the fried calamari was good. The prime rib was served as we ordered, medium rare! It was very good. Had a really nice dinner.
had a nice time on the patio but the food was really not as good as it used to be pre-covid. the wait staff was nice, but this is the second time i've tried this place in the last month, and been disappointed by the food.
crab claws - rather cold and stringy and small
new orleans shrimp - seasoning was off
salmon - small portion, so overcooked
cheesecake - frozen inside
This was my first visit to Joey D’a!!! Everything about it was great: food, service, atmosphere!! We will be back!
Consistently good food.
It was very nice and the environment was so ambient
Server was swamped to start off with. Drinks took a long time to arrive. Got the grilled oysters as an appetizer and the actual oysters tasted like they were not fresh at all. The oysters tasted fishy. I’ve had oysters tons of times and they never tasted fishy (normally they taste like the ocean smells; ie not stinky and fishy).
My daughter got the green beans for a side. They were undercooked and were not flavored with anything. Bland. The same went for my wife’s spinach she ordered. No flavor at all.
Overall not a good experience. Maybe this is COVID related but we will not be going back.
Hi, First, I want to apologize that we missed the mark during your experience with us. In no way should we have missed these issues with your food. I would like to invite you back in for dinner as this is not an impression that we would want to leave you with. Your feed back is valuable and we appreciate it. I would also like to hear more about your experience, so that we can ensure we are not dropping the ball in any other areas. Devan Johnson Operating Partner email@example.com
We chose outdoor seating which was great but the air was very still. A fan would have been very useful and many other outdoor restaurants have these. Service was great. Food was great. Love Joey D’a
As always the food and the service were top notch. Always one of our favorite dinner restaurants. While entire staff was wearing masks, there was no allowance for the fact that we are still in the middle of COVID, and it looked the restaurant was open for full capacity. That was a little disconcerting.
The food and service wS excellent!
