Drink too sweet and no bread
Service was excellent. O ordered a bone-in ribeye steak. The center was cooked the correct amount, but the top & bottom surfaces were charred to the degree the flavor of the entire steak was lost. Wife's baby back ribs were good.
Steak was not cooked like I asked... then when they took it back to cook it properly as I asked, it came back a lil more charred then expected.
Great menu selection and excellent service. I will go back there
I've been going to Joey D's for nearly 30 years, never disappoints, food and service are always amazing. Its been our go to place for a casual dinner, business meeting or just a nice lunch. Keep up the great work!
I always enjoy a visit to Joey D's - especially if I can share with a colleague. Great classy spot for a special lunch or dinner.
Great, as usual, for lunch. I am from out of town but frequent here for business lunches. I have been in the evening and I was not as pleased.
This is our go-to date spot and to be able to take my veteran there on a day recognizing his service is amazing. We are customers for life. Great meal at a great value - can’t beat this place.
This was my 2nd at Joey D’s and like always everything was great! One small thing my while eating my broccolini I tasted something really weird and it turned out to be a small black rubber band that holds the broccolini together. I was a bit disappointed! It will not stop me from frequenting Joey D’s!!!
As always the steaks were top notch. Service was excellent considering there was such a large crowd for Veterans Day Specials. Will definitely come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and professional service at Joey D's. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection......delicious from beginning to end!
Even with OpenTable reservation, wait for a party of 4 was 55 minutes!
This maybe my fourth time at Joey D's, and as always I was very impressed with the whole experience. They serve the best fliet mignon I have ever had and the service was top notch. They were very crowded on Nov 11th because they offer a free meal to veterans on veteran's day, super classy move. They handled the influx like professionals, I very highly recommend this restaurant.
We dine at your restaurant several times a year, always outstanding. My husband and a good friend are both Veterans, they really appreciated the complimentary entrée on Veterans Day. We are going to be dining with you on Thanksgiving Day, we are looking forward to it.
Keep up the good work!
Awesome food, service and relaxing atmosphere. I would and have recommended the restaurant to family and friends!!!
Thanks, Stacey Sabir Brown
We love to dine here and try too as often as we can for lunch since our office is so close. Our server was FANTASTIC and so was the food!
This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The food was great and tasty and service was excellent. We brought our 6 year old also and he loved it.
Joey D’s is a great long time institution in Dunwoody. Great food; great service; always consistent.
The food was decent, the atmosphere was good for a date and affordable.
The grill Salmon and Turkey burger was extremely bland.
I had She Crab soup and house salad for lunch. Both were good and the soup had a lot of crab. Great service - this restaurant is always a consistent player for a business meal and a dinner with friends.
Want a New York-style lunch date? Try Joey D's Oak Room. Deli sandwiches stacked high on fresh breads, excellent salads and a host of other treats. The Apple pie ala mode (really more of a crisp) with an espresso was outstanding on a cold day. Looking forward to trying dinner. See you all soon again at Joey D's!
Always great business lunch hangout or drinks after work...
Love your restaurant, but it is REALLY loud. Loud to the point that we no longer bring clients there for lunch, because we can't hear each other. Some sound panels on the ceiling would help a lot. Appreciate that you consider this "energetic," when when you can't hear across the table, it takes away from what is otherwise a great experience.
The soup was above average. The crab claws were good. The tomato mozzarella salad was not edible, the cheese was pure rubber and the tomatoes didn't have any flavor. The key lime pie was way too sweet. It was close to my hotel. Wouldn't pick again.
Made a reservation for 7. Arrived on time with my party and liked the ambiance. I was then immediately disappointed when we were seated. Our table was located in back by the pick up counter, next to the bathrooms and entrance to the kitchen. The pick up entrance was on the other side and the temperature dropped every time it was opened. The restaurant had decent crowd but Joey D’s could’ve have easily seated us in a more comfortable location.
The food was below average. My marinated chicken was dry and creamed spinach was bitter. My wife’s lobster ravioli was covered in melted cheese. After a few bites it was too heavy and salty. Steak sandwich was also covered in cheese. Soups were also very salty.
Our server was good, she refilled drinks and checked on us through out meal.
I’ve wanted to dine at Joey D’s since I moved to the area. My first and last experience was disappointing. Plenty of other dining options in the area. A sure way to loose a customer is sit them by the bathrooms and take out counter or maybe it was design? I would appreciate a response as to why Joey D’s thinks this is good seat location for any customer.
Follow up-After my review I was contacted by Nathan Miller, operating partner. I was told that this is a desirable table that is often requested. Nathan also stated he spoke to us and offered to move our table. I explained that he must have my table mixed up with another. I explained again where we were seated, size of the party and our experience. Nathan responded again convinced that my party of 5 at the round table by the kitchen was offered another table. Wrong Nathan, I explained to you in my review and response that my party was 7 people and we were seated by the bathroom entrance by the BACK of the kitchen. Nathan was clueless, he obviously did not read my review and response. I guess he was more concerned about the low rating. I explained to Nathan that he was wasting my time because I had to keep repeating myself.
Took a little longer than I would have liked to get the food but overall it was good.
We were seated upon arriving. Had reservations but didn’t need them. Our server was very attentive and checked on us frequently. The staff worked well together to get food and drinks out to us. Our food Wes cooked as we requested.
It was fabulous
Joey D’s has become a go to for dinner when a special occasion comes up or guests from out of town visit. The food is consistently great and the prices present a good value. Service, as always was great and we were attended to consistently without being intrusive throughout our dinner.
The food is excellent and a pretty good value for the price. Great service.
HAD OUT OF TOWN GUESTS WHO BOTH THOUGHT THE EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. All food was great, as usual, for my wife and me. We have been eating here for years and always use Joey D's as a go to for people who expect a great dining experience whenever they are out with us. You did a great job.
Always a real pleasure!
Meal was great. Steaks just really need more seasoning other than that it was a really nice meal. Service was excellent
A favorite place for lunch or dinner for decades. The food and service are consistently good with no surprises.
Several items on this menu are world class. Charbroiled oyster appetizer and beef rib come to mind. Also chopped steak. I love this place and return often.
Love this restaurant. It is always consistent service and quality. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
I told the waiter that I despise onions. I ordered the turkey burger with no onions. The patty tasted like ground turkey combined with pureed onions and celery - two things I can't stand. I wish he had told me about that. I was going to say something, but the service was slow and I didn't want to wait.
The oysters were really good. The seafood pasta I had was ok. Overall the food was very heavy, buttery and greasy. I woke up sick in the middle night not because the food was bad but the grease was hard on my digestive system.
