                                    First time visiting Joe’s On Newbury. It appeared to be a very popular place. We were glad we made reservations! Our server Nadia was wonderful. She offered great selection ideas. The food was fantastic! Definitely give Joe’s a try. You will be glad you did!

                                    Great Service from Nicole. Have been a few times and been served by her and she’s calm cool collected and super friendly and kind felt very well taken care of by her. Only thing that was lacking was host stand seating time and communication with table availability with reservations and greeting for water and drinks which took a good 5-10 minutes after seating. Nicole very much made up for the wait with her kindness and quick service! Thank youuuu

                                    The food was tasty and the server was so friendly and attentive. We ordered espresso martini, fish tacos, shrimp scampi, clam chowder, and chicken scampi. I had asked to alter it from shrimp to chicken and the waitress said yes but I’ll put it in as chicken piccata because of the adjustment but tell them you want scampi. But when it came out I just got chicken piccata. I was going to eat it even though it was a mistake but I didn’t dig in yet and the waitress came to see how the food was and realized immediately it wasn’t what I ordered. She was quick to take it back and get me what I ordered. For that I trilly appreciate her attentiveness and quick ability to resolve the issue. One of many reasons I love Joe’s! Great staff and food!

                                    Not a great experience. It was my daughter’s birthday and when we were being seated the table was in the bar area and should have been a table for two not four. There were 2 other tables available, so I asked if we could sit in one of the other open tables so we wouldn’t be bumped into by everyone coming out of the kitchen and people from the bar heading to the bathroom. The hostess reluctantly agreed to it after having us stand there for a few minutes. Apparently, her friend must have been the server at the original table because she kept looking at him and rolling her eyes and shaking her head behaving like a child. Once we reached the other table, she tossed the menus on the table and walked away. On a positive note, our server was terrific. He did a great job.

                                    Food was good but not outstanding. Ambiance was nice, was a busy vibe between the weekday 1-230pm lunch. Felt understaffed as we consistently had to “ask” for things, such as water and drink refills, bread, check etc,. Our waiter was not attentive at all. Likely will not return as the experience as a whole didn’t meet expectations for this $50-$75 per person price point.

                                    Visited after a Red Sox game and had a great experience. One of my friends considers this spot a personal favorite in Boston, and I can see why. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for winding down over dinner. I ordered the steak and thought is was slightly over-seasoned for my taste but cooked to the right temperature. The fries were classic and the service was excellent. Our server, Bella, was friendly and thoughtful. Overall, a nice choice for a post-game meal and I would definitely come back.

                                    If you’re coming to Boston in the summer, but really anytime you need to make reservations otherwise you’ll be disappointed when you can’t get a seat this place is always hopping Love their clam chowder!
