Joe's Crab Shack - Redondo
Horrible horrible service. Took forever to get anything and they were slow. Theres better options. I never leave bad reviews this place deserved it
The food was very good, we enjoyed.
The host, excellent customer service.
The waitress no good.
my table was not ready when I arrived I had to wait 30 minutes
The food is very good
There was 8 people in my party, 5 out of the 8, food was cold, service was okay.
The restaurant was practically empty for a Thursday night. The place was cold and eerily quiet. Service was fine but the food was bland and luke warm . I've not seen a Joe's this poor before. I noticed they have a notice for change of ownership. I hope the bring them back to life
Tiffany was fabulous and was the saving grace of the evening after having to pay for parking. Bummer!
Food was lovely and a nice setting.
This was an excellent dining experience
I will NEVER be dinning at a Joe’s again, I see why they closed the Long Beach location.
The food is overpriced and bland! The shrimp were not cleaned properly in ANY of the dishes that I had. The tilapia was paper thin, the fried cat fish was all dough/batter and tasted like chicken, the bacon on the stuffed shrimp was not cooked well, margaritas tasted like virgins. I could go on more, but you get it.
Our waitress seemed either slow or high or both, she talked too damn much about non work related things and KEPT forgetting what we asked for. It was a disaster! There was some
The waiter seemed detached.. wasn’t into his job..
The food was not worth the money..
I love Joe's Crab Shack, but this location is poorly ran. During this visit, our waiter was basically a ghost. Anytime we asked for extra items, it would take him at least 10 minutes to return. The restaurant was not busy at all; I would understand the excessive time if the restaurant was busy. When I went inside to use the restroom, I noticed he was talking with another server about what their plans were for the weekend, all while we were waiting for drink refills. There was a couple that moved tables because of a crying child and their server was extremely disrespectful and gave them attitude about switching tables. He made our dining experience very uncomfortable and he was not even our server. Upon leaving, the manager and an employee were arguing in the middle of the walkway and very loud. The employee insisted there was an issue and walked away from the manager. It was very unprofessional for the manager and employee to be arguing in front of customers. I will not be returning to this location.
Fun for kids and adults to unwind with a not fancy but fun meal with fab views
Didn‘t serve any water. First they forgot the vegetables for one order.
For the other order (Fish and Shrimp) they forgot the shrimps. After telling them, they served it - but to another table. 😞
So we had to wait again. Meanwhile fish and fries got cold. Sad!!!
Not worth the money we spent.
Absolutely no recommendation!!!
Birthday celebration for our granddaughter. Staff was excellent and food was good. Wish that the crab pieces were pre-cut/cracked, especially King Crab. Joe's Crab shack does not shell ANY of their crab pieces. Thus, no Crab/Shrimp Louis' served here.
Horrible service !
They were understaffed - we had a reservation. Our waiter had to make our drinks! He did great considering.
My first experience was not good the food was cold and we was not informed of any happy hours special and we went during those hours.
Nice place for family and friends
WE had the boiled seafood dinner & it didn't disappoint. It was delicious! We will definitely recommend Joe's Crab Shack to our friends & we intend to go back.
Service was okay, when we had questions it took awhile to find our server.
What happened??!! Joe's used to be pretty decent!! I'm not sure if it's just this location. We used to frequent the Long Beach one (which is now closed boo). I never remembered the crab legs being so salty that it felt like you were just eating salt! It was horrible! I was so disappointed! I guess most of them are closing so, the workers probably don't even care any more. This location literally stinks. When we were first seated by the bar area, there was a not clean odor sort of like puke or something. Their sinks were out of order in the women's restroom. They pointed out after we asked, that we could use their sink located next to the ice machine to wash our hands. Not very clean area either gross! There were towels in every corner outside of the bathroom like there may have been a huge leak. That could have added to the smell factor as well. The place just looked like it hasn't been clean in ages. I was almost afraid to eat there. It just seemed unsanitary. The crab legs weren't fresh probably the reason for marinating it in salt. Although my boyfriend's and friends dinner seemed to have tasted ok. They had grilled chicken and salmon. Go figure?! You would think crab legs would be their specialty. After all it is called Joe's Crab Shack. I think I will have to find another seafood house.
Even tho we had a reservation we still had to wait 45 min for our table, food was good, not great but good, I’ve had better, but the service was a plus and our waitress was def good, basically the only saving grace for a average restaurant
We had to wait 45 min and left
I think this place is just very cheap. It was Mother's Day. There were plenty of open tables, but they didn't have the staff to cover it. Luckily we arrived to check in at 4:30pm for a 4:45 reservation and they told us it would be an hour to hour 15 minute wait. Exactly the same as if we had walked in. There were people who we were waiting with who had been there since 2:30. Just terrible. When my food came out it was inedible. I ordered the stake, but they brought me luke warm beef jerky.
I have been going to Joe's for years and have always been satisfied with the food and the service. Normally, I would never have considered going on Mother's Day, because it is always crowded, but when I saw that they were taking reservations on Open Table, I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong.
We arrived on time for our 3:00 reservation and were informed that there would be a 45 minute wait. It was actually closer to an hour. But done is done and we were determined not to let it interfere with our Mother's Day meal.
The waitress appeared shortly after we sat and took our drink orders. Those came our fairly quickly. She then took our food order -- that took considerably longer and when it arrived, everything was room temperature. Understanding that everyone was doing the best they could, I asked the waitress for melted butter. That took about 10 minutes, but at least it was hot and that helped the room temperature crab and lobster.
Bottom line is that I will likely go back to Joe's, but never on a holiday. And to be honest, I doubt that I would bother to make a reservation - because if you are going to offer that service, you need to honor it. Otherwise, it is just too frustrating.
It was a good Mother’s Day celebration.
We made the reservation using OpenTable and when we got there they denied our reservation saying that the system is not working. I ended up getting a table after 40 minutes of wait in the worst location of the restaurant. They gave us a table next to the bar and next to all the dirty dishes. The food came late and had no seasoning whatsoever. Terrible experience on Mother’s Day for me, my family and my mother. I was expecting at least some kind of adjustment on the check but nothing was done! I live only 10 minutes from the restaurant but I don’t think I will be back again in the near future.
Service was terrible and for a place with a lot of African Americans in it I thought having John wayne on the wall was inappropriate and I’m not African American.
Would not recommend. They take 20+ min to check you in even with a reservation. Service is pretty terrible - waited 30 min to get a waitress provide the menus and same thing happened with the check. Food is ok but overpriced.
