Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

We drove two hours to eat at Joe’s Crab Shack and were very disappointed with the experience. Unfortunately, the food quality was not what we expected — only 2 out of the 5 people in our group felt their meals were even just “okay.” The steaks were poor quality, and the crab legs were extremely tough and stuck inside the shells, making them hard to eat. On top of that, we witnessed two servers arguing over who was supposed to have our table, and the server who ended up helping us seemed unhappy and never smiled the entire time. Overall, this visit did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling let down after making a long trip just to eat there.

We enjoyed our laid back, fun, and delicious Father's Day dinner at Joe's. The crab leg boils are our favorite.

Such a fun place to eat by the Ohio River. Gorgeous views and good food. But the service was SO slow! It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks and over an hour to get our appetizer and then food:(

Our server Joey was awesome! He made my graduation celebration with my family a great one! My graduation ceremony ended earlier than expected and when I called to move up my reservation, the host was very accommodating. When we arrived we were automatically seated. Joey was friendly and patient with us. He checked in frequently and gave recommendations. The food came out fresh and was delicious, He had the whole restaurant wish me a congratulations on getting my masters degree. Our dining experience was great!

Our first time at Joe's Crab Shack and probably our last. We had heard such good things about this restaurant. Since we love seafood, we thought we would try it. The fish tasted like grease. My daughter's medium steak was well done. The cole slaw was awful. The chicken was dry. Our server was missing, not refilling drinks. Took over an hour to get our food. It was loud my grandson had to go outside. Constant screaming by a waitress encouraging a group of kids age 9-10 to pretend they were doing shots. One of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had to date.

Great location. Appropriately and nicely decorated dining area. Service was great. Food - we live in a coastal, Georgia city where fresh seafood is readily available, so we can benchmark what good seafood is. Joe's Crab Shack was an absolutely pleasant surprise. It was very good.

Food was mediocre, the server was stoned and forgot everything we said, forgot sauces, forgot silverware, got drinks wrong. It appears this location has went downhill significantly since the last time I was here. Couldn’t not recommend coming back.
