Was a great experience! Miranda was a great host! Food was great, drinks were great... plan on going back for sushi in the near future!
Our server, Rachel, was excellent! Every course of our dinner, from drinks to dessert was exceptional. Highly recommend for your next special occasion!
Friendly, knowledgeable service. Food very good. Noise level bad. So loud it was difficult to hear the wait staff explain the menu. Very distracting to the whole experience.
At time of reservation table was ready. Attentive service. Could have better guidance at to the appetizer's seafood tower, which is huge (and pricey). As an appetizer, one probably does not need a serving for 4 (we were four people), a serving for 2 would have been sufficient, since main courses were still coming. But food quality and quantity was outstanding. Was our third visit at the restaurant and we have never been disappointed.
We were at Joe Muer for our anniversary, which I indicated with my reservation. When we arrived were were greeted with a very sincere Happy Anniversary. from several staff. Our meal, Dover
Sole, was excellent and Anne, our server was outstanding, meeting and exceeding all our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend both the restaurant and Anne to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.
The hostesses were rude rude rude!!! Barely an audible greeting as we walked up to the hostess station. Then instructed to “wait over there” with a slight nod of her head and absolutely no smile or eye contact. Seriously? We spent 30 minutes fighting traffic for this. The evening was planned by my 10 yo, to celebrate his Dads birthday- otherwise we would have walked out.
Our server and the bus boys were friendly and attentive.
The oysters were delicious. But our main meals - walleye and tuna entrees were disappointing.
I expect better. Never again.
The complementary navy beans were served in a shallow dish and we were on able to scoop them out. The Martha’s Vineyard salad was on uninteresting just lettuce with a less than dime size piece of blue cheese, plain walnuts and very little dressing. My Seabass was swimming in butter too rich to even eat.
our filet mignon had a large chunk of fat, so much so they gave us a free dessert of day old cake
Food very good; service poor. Waiter was pleasant but he was very slow and forgot things. We were there Saturday night of Labor Day weekend and the place was not busy at all.
We came for my husband's birtday- Dover sole is his favorite. I, on the other hand an a vegetarian. That one and only option tasted like cement paste and I ask for something else which was not much better. The chickpea balls tasted like soft paste with not much taste. Very disappointing. I should of just had the sides.
Excellent. Consistently an outstanding dining experience.
We celebrated our 45th anniversary at Joe Muers in Bloomfield and it was incredible! Everyone there was so nice and really welcoming and wanted our day to be special. Miranda was our server and she never
missed a thing. Perfect evening. Highly recommend!
One thing you can count on with Joe Muer's is Excellence. From the food, deco, service. First time at the Bloomfield Hills location an they did a great job of upholding the Joe Muer tradition. One of the fest independent Seafood restaurants in the country.
Portion size for the sides is quite large. Would have appreciated it if server suggested we share.
Found the mac and cheese to be dry. Guests enjoyed their steaks.
Lee was a great waiter who was highly knowledgeable of the entire menu. Great ambience, service, food and wine made fire an exceptional experience. We'll definitely be back with friends!
Love ...love.. joe muirs for lunch ... especially for dinner... brunch the 2nd time was .. okay.... if you’re going to do brunch ...your need to pull out all the stops!.... buffet style ... with stations ... will always return for lunch and dinner .... done with the brunch
Bets brunch in town. Such big portions and old school-steakhouse style service from adult servers.
My wife and I chose Joe Muer as a place to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary, we couldn't have bee more pleased. The experience was stellar, starting with the waitress already knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion (without us having to tell her). The graciousness of the service, the excellent presentation and flavors of our many courses and the wine selection were all top notch! The many dessert options were a great culmination to a terrific meal. I would definitely recommend Joe Muer for special occasions, or, just to have a pleasant and romantic dinner.
The new vegan dinner option is absolutely terrific...
Great food and service. A little overpriced and really quite, taking into account I visited on a Sunday night.
Classic Detroit Restaurant
Went for birthday brunch with friends. Our server Paul was outstanding!
You did not disappoint! We’ll be back soon!
Very nice food and attentive waiter
It was a really nice lunch. Our waiter was very nice.
Celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary, we chose dinner at Joe Muer. A special kind of salmon was among the recommended selections. We each ordered the salmon, and it was simply delicious. Our dessert came with the writing "Happy 47th Anniversary" on the plate. Ours was a delightful experience and the waiter was fantastic. We shall come again!
Wonderful meal. Everything was perfect. Will go back in a heart beat
The service was great, but the quality of the food has really slipped. I have no problem paying more for a great experience. This wasn’t one.
The Best, service and food top of the line. Very clean
Our dining experience was EXCELLENT for my wife’s Birthday.
Katelyn, our server, made the evening a night to remember.
She made it very comfortable with her timing and professionalism.
Fabulous service and fantastic food. Yes, it's pricey, but they have got the dining experience dialed in. There's a reason it's been around so long and continues to deliver.
We really enjoyed our experience overall. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. Halibut was delicious, stuffed flounder was good, but not extra special. Complimentary appetizer sides of bean salad, smoked fish and bread basket were very tasty and much appreciated. Coconut cake is very good to share. Manhattan was well made but very short on liquid. Total bill around 150.00.
They undercooked the lobster so we couldn’t all eat together. The staff was not attentive to us or our needs. No hot towels after eating lobster, no bibs, etc. Service was very slow. We were celebrating a birthday...very disappointing.
Visiting Detroit first time in 15 years! It didn’t disappoint in any way in all aspects of taste, service, atmosphere, et. al.
Would recommend to everyone! Killer desserts to complete the meal! Loved it!
Excellent food. Saturday night - very busy - not enough servers made everything slow.
The service was outstanding the food was great and the people were friendly
Always great food, wine and service. Great for birthday or romantic occasion.
